Also wanted to add a thank you to @Betty P for all the records keeping from 2016 till now. Going back and looking and lots of the media thread is your posts. :) The timeline there and I've only looked at a few pages so far. 6 1/2 years. Praying justice is served for Hannah Gilley and the Rhodens.

I went to the media thread from the very beginning to look up what was being said early on and over the summer.

Many links just don't work anymore. Some are removed and some are paid only so what I was able to see shows that toward the end of summer (August) it was being said in the media that this was someone that knew the houses, knew the people, etc. Not likely outsider or stranger.

Billy's interview from the car we heard was done in Sept. 2016

This article is from October 2016. Interesting.

I think over the summer when it started being said it was someone local, not outside, maybe the W's got the feeling that the drug cartel or big drug connections coming in to kill everyone wasn't the way the investigators were going got them scared. They started planning for the move to Alaska then. Then Billy does that interview and tries all he can to throw the investigators on to all the drug connections. Then in Oct when it's publicly said they will charge anyone not being truthful or trying to mislead investigation.

Timing is interesting for sure.

Sheriff Reader seemed fairly sure it was someone local. I recall he gave some press conferences during this time and later where he spoke directly to the community about it.

Thanks! The Media & Timelines thread was really necessary at first. With news breaking it was so hard to keep up with the number of victims, family tree, different crime scenes, etc. Reporters were getting all the information out there in bits and pieces. Of course, we couldn't comment on anything in the main thread if we didn't have a link, so it was necessary to keep all those links with details. Cujenne started a lot of that. There were so many rumors flying around, too.

Funny now Billy was so adamant about how BCI wasn't local and all the local LE was corrupt. Maybe because the local boys were saying it was someone local and that is the opposite of what ole Billy wanted them to think. Then in Oct after Billy's interview when it was publicly said, they will arrest those trying to lead investigation off track just feels like it was speaking right to Billy. If it wasn't I bet Billy sure thought it was speaking to him. I hope he was shaking in his boots!

Because he's the ballistics guy and, thanks to the Wagners buying "brass catchers" (tampering with evidence) cartridges weren't found for every weapon. He would have no need to look at a gun for which there were no cartridges to compar
They may have bought or made them but I'm not so sure they worked or if they even used them. They got lots more brass than I thought they had.

If anyone knows... does the ruling for the media today mean Angela and Jake's testimony can be televised?
It can be, but they can also opt out.

Wednesday’s session is expected to begin with a hearing over a ruling by the 4th District Court of Appeals regarding Deering’s restrictions on the media showing exhibits and evidence during the trial. That court ruled the media should be allowed to photograph or video any exhibits, but defense lawyers asked for a hearing about the ruling.

Prosecutors declined to say who is testifying next Wednesday morning, saying only that more evidence would be introduced.

Jake and Angela are expected to testify for the prosecution at some point, but not until at least next week.

Just a random thought here. Do you think it is possible that Jake and Billy took one of George's guns without him knowing then later told George they lost it? The Glock .40 wasn't on George's list that Jake had on his phone I don't think. At least they only mentioned the SKS and 1911 Colt in court today.

JMO
.40 Cal Glock is on GW's list.
I just looked for the same thing. I'm bookmarking this sucker.

But Jake's phone was collected over a year after the murders. How do we know if some of the guns on the wish list were not bought after the murders or George's statement?

JMO
I would imagine they can determine the date the list was originally created and that would be the proof…

I don't know either. I collect jewelry and vases.

Hubby has a ton of guns. Maybe because he is LE? But then he collects yapping dogs too.

But then again I live in an open carry state where they walk around with a loaded pistol strapped to each hip and an AR 15 slung over their shoulder.

JMO
There's pretty much nil gun laws here too. I'm not too keen on seein' folks strapped up at the local diners but it's their right.

Speaking of that I was really worried about that BCI agent opening the evidence boxes with that huge knife Junk gave him. I winced every time he held one of those big boxes on his lap and ran that knife down it. I was thinking he was going to stab himself in the leg or slice his cajones off.

JMO
I was just grateful that it wasn't a whole day of those very loud paper bags being rattled, crinkled, untaped, unfolded, shaken out....arrgghhh.

Everything on a computer has a time stamp, I think.

Oh Lord yes.

Oh, yes! Thanks for pointing that out on the exhibit. George told them it was created after the murders, IIRC.

For there to be “evidence beyond a reasonable doubt”, there must first be “evidence”. I am hoping they present some soon

Jmo
All the prosecution has been doing is entering evidence. Which has to be done before testimony happens. Imo.

I've always assumed they used George's gun that night and that he was aware of it. He was there with Billy and Jake, so had to know. Assume they shared weapons as needed, not just for this but other times, too. JMO

My impression, too. They still have more evidence to present: all the audio, wire taps, etc.

During BW's interview one of the investigators was asking about a connection between Latham and the sheriff's office. He said they really wanted to know about that. I believe Latham was describes as being Skid Montgomery.

Quoting myself because too late to edit-correcting my mistake-after reading this again I realize there are 2 guns on 1 line and not a .40 Cal Glock. It is a Beretta .40 Cal. Sorry!

None of them would go on this killing spree without a gun. They were so fearful of Chris Sr. that they had to ambush him by having Jake and George4 hide in a modified truck. I'm not convinced that George didn't shoot anybody, either--not that it matters if G4 goes down for Aggravated Murder.

I wonder if JW does not testify to the states satisfaction and the DP comes back into play how that works, as GW jury is not DP qualified so he will have to have a new trial with a jury DP qualified, JW will have to have a trial to assertain his guilt then a penalty phase, as his whole plea agreement will be thrown out so his guilty pleas will also go

how then do they proceed with AW if she fulfills her part of plea deal, her 30 years must then stand, so only JW BW and GW would have to have capital trials

MOO, I don't think that the DP will be put back in place no matter what happens in any of these cases. I guess time will tell. o_O
