Listening to recorded phone calls - I am amazed at the anger of each of the Wagners at neighbors, investigators, etc.

They don't seem to be very friendly to each other. For such a tight knit family, there's a lot of testimony that they fought a lot. When G4 was talking to BW, I could tell BW had no interest in talking about scenery or bears. I "feel" that AW was the one who kept the family together in some sort of over-the-top dysfunctional little cultish clan.

Yup. I think they all enjoyed a good fight, even among themselves. Hate-filled-lives.

Jmo the recordings were not as damming to George as was presented.

  • #784
The latter was in a comment from AC a few comments back. AC argued that George's remark about BCI planting evidence at Peterson Rd would have to be treated as evidence. Defense would have to introduce it, then have him testify. Bringing out new facts related to the murders and investigation has to be dealt with.

I'm guessing George was making these assumptions based on rumors or his own opinions. Seeing photos and video of BCI searching the farm probably freaked them out.

Anyone notice Jake and GW4 have similar voices? Their voices on the recordings sound higher than I thought they would be.
Another interesting.

It seemed logical when LE just kept going after the Manleys over and over.
People were coming on here at WS and accusing BJM of killing them "to get money". Now we know where that accusation came from.
Keep filling our heads with interesting information @Betty P . Whatever would we do without you? I bet you could write the book on this case.

The mental gymnastics a parent will do to believe your child/ren.
Oh, that's too true. IDK if anyone followed the Spurlock case, but yeah, until they found her body in the family's garden, they were all adamant, and very vocal, that he couldn't have done what he did. I don't live there, but knew the murderer's neighbor at the time, and had met some of the family through friends who did live there. Super nice folks and i never spoke to them about the case, but they were adamant, hurt, and angry that he was being focused on. Not wealthy people just people who loved their family. They were crushed when he her body turned up in the strawberry patch.

Tip: For future audio, I resolved the only lh side of my headphones working, by switching my settings under Windows/System/ Sound to Mono.

Had some unexpected issues come up and am just catching up with today's wire tap audio.

I went to Start>Settings>System>Sound and could not find it so I Googled and found the fix for Windows 10 which I am using-

Hear all sounds in one channel

Windows lets you convert stereo sound into a single channel so you can hear everything, even if you're using just one headphone. Select the Start button, then select Settings > Ease of Access > Audio, and then switch on the toggle under Turn on mono audio.

LOL at George's rant going on and on to Angela. I missed this because I thought court was over and then they played the entire conversations.

He is blaming people from FB and Topix for planting evidence at their farm. LOL

Also why the heck would BCI drive to Alaska? I am pretty sure it makes more sense to just fly, but George swears he sees an Ohio BCI car following them? I guess it's possible they would drive, but why?
It sounds like he was a bit paranoid.

yes, I remember someone trespassed and videoed the property and posted it on YouTube.
He came close to getting into trouble for that too. His s/o was beside herself over his stunt.

I think there lives were so filled with hate and feelings of being better and more deserving than anyone else. When they weren't talking about trucks or themselves, their conversations were filled with trash talking everyone else and blaming everyone else. There conversations with each other only led to bitterness and an all consuming anger. You can hear it simmering, in every conversation, if they feel like they are losing control they start blaming and puffing out their chests. If you notice they barely listen to each other, and talk over each other unless the conversation pertains to something they want to know. The only part of their conversation that lacks emotion is when they constantly say "I love you"

He ran uncontested. :( His term begins 2/9/2023, and Pike County will be blessed  with him for 6 years. Sorry Pike County.
Off Topic but IDK why these little towns, mine included, cannot encourage others to run for these positions. Surely there are others better qualified, and I'll end there.

that solvent catcher is a huge red flag. i cant believe how stupid the wagners are. the most basic opsec on a labtop will include bleachbit to write over all search data or anything else. there are a couple of items sold to modify guns illegally but are stated to be something else. best example being the little piece which modifies the firing pin on a glock to become automatic cost about 4 dollars. solvent catchers are used as an adapter to screw on to the threaded end of a barrel. someone looking up guns and a solvent catcher is almost 100 percent looking to build a silencer

That's why I don't feel that AW or any of them , actually "hacked", into the FB messages. With only a bit of research they could have had those laptops totally free of evidence before they even started searching for items and reading messages. Simpletons.

That's a long way down coming out that door...talking about watch out for that first step, it's a doozie!

Imagine being desperate to sell your Alaskan chalet for $180k and you wind up renting it to the Wagners. Wonder if they still own it?

I'm going back looking in the first few threads. I think BCI releases the 911 call on the second or third day after the murders. It's interesting to read, everyone thought it was cartels, mostly because of the way AG DeWine talked about the commercial, sophisticated, huge grow ops.

A lot of emotions are tied up in this case. Just because I look at it differently doesn't mean I do not want justice. However, the way I view it is through the legal system, and try take the heart and emotion out of the picture (Difficult at times).

Trials are very interesting because you get to see our legal system at play and how a jury, interprets the law and evidence presented. Just as different people interpret the intricacies of the Constitution, or the Bible, differently or the wording of important legal rights on ballots (example: The vote NO for Yes on the KY ballot this fall to support the rights of women to obtain certain medical procedures. Most definitely a tactic to confuse, but legal).

A plea is a win. So AC has two wins under her belt, as long as JW and AW testify as they have agreed to do so. That's a nice addition to her resume/Linked In/etc... Prosecutors love pleas.

Y'all may dislike the defense, but if someday the need for a defense atty. arises, if it were me, I'd want a very zealous and dedicated one. I happen to have attys in my family (in criminal defense & prosecution). I, unfortunately, did not follow in their footsteps, as much as the law fascinates me. At the end of the day, if the government cannot prove their case, the criminal justice system is designed to find that defendant not guilty. It's not personal, it's about the laws in place.

This is all on the prosecution, the evidence that they are able to present, and what the judge deems admissible, to convince all of the jurors in this trial that there is no other reasonable explanation that can come from the evidence, than GW4 is guilty. I'm not sure if they have to find him guilty on all counts, or not. I've not seen that or have forgotten.
I understand this and respect defense attorneys and the job they have in front of them. What I don't agree with is for them to use any tactic they can like confusing a jury or trying to create a stir over one way that isn't relevant just to make it confusing. I mean the evidence they have is what they have, then to distract from it instead of focusing on a solid defense like, he was not involved, wasn't there, or something else like he was manipulated by his mom and is a victim also.. it just doesn't sit well with me. At this point we don't even know what his defense actually is. We just have his attorneys trying to discredit witnesses, even BCI agents. Did you hear them today asking if any civilians were there at the border. Does he actually want to foster the idea that Tabatha was there with BCI to see her son while BCI was there trying to interview witnesses? This is the type of thing I just can't agree with.

I agree. There is a big difference between being a professional and knowledgeable attorney, making sure your client is protected and giving him the best possible defense. Rather than an "attorney or attorneys" that are not prepared and throwing objection after objection without even knowing what they are objecting to, in order to see what sticks. If he is not careful he may do more harm than good. For example, I am not sure how smart it is for them to be asking to play the full recordings. The full tapes do not sound like they are helping GWIV, and could they possibly be opening the door to introducing issues the prosecutors did not feel they had enough foundation for...but now here it is? IANAL so I could be way off base, but it sounds like the defense has not listened to all "thousands of hours" of these tapes like they should have, and if these are allowed, maybe it will set a precedent for more damaging information to be allowed later. moo

AW supposedly did hack the private message part of Facebook. That's where she got the conversation between TC's mom and HR where HR said, "they'll have to kill me". </3

Yes that and executing 8 people in the night. I remember thinking though you'd think if it was the cartel the children would have been murdered too.

I would opt for Cool Cats, that chick must have a room full of information printed and stacked, her poor computer sees her approaching and silently screams "help me".

Just kidding CC.... or am I? ;) You definitely can come up with answers or links faster than anyone I know. My compliments!!
Everyone here has been a superstar in some way, and I just want to say thank you all. It does take a village, and I love our WS Village!!!

Have a good night everyone, we have a freeze warning for overnite. o_O
