He was most interesting witness of the trial, imo Great to watch. Agree that defense won't be able to rattle him.I think this witness will hold up well. He seems to really know his job and all the ins and outs of these things. They might score some points on things like "you can't say who built a specific silencer can you?"
They burned it first, then threw it down the cistern where it was discovered by an investigative diver. Subsequently, all the water was pumped out of cistern.I'm curious why they didn't just throw this item away. It was tested before the homicides so who would be digging in their trash before a crime has even occurred? Was it an oversight? They didn't think about it until they were discarding other evidence (I think Jake said they burned their clothing so was this in that burn pile?) Then they just tossed it on their property? For as much planning as was done, some things just really didn't seem to occur to them. Or maybe they thought better of it after they dumped it in the cistern and then realized they couldn't retrieve it?
Love Traveling Wilburys. And deeply appreciate NIner.Thank you Niner.
Now I have chorus from The Traveling Wilburys song Tweeter and the Monkey Man stuck on repeat in my head:
And the walls came down
All the way to hell
Good thinking! They might have discovered it was there after the murders, in the burn pit, decided to throw it down that nasty cistern, throw a ton of bricks in there and cover it over.I'm curious why they didn't just throw this item away. It was tested before the homicides so who would be digging in their trash before a crime has even occurred? Was it an oversight? Remember this, Billy Wagner had a broke back the night of the murders, he would have had a hard time moving dead bodies,JMO)When Jake went to FR's the first time but couldn't get in, GWIV and BW were inside CRSR's trailer moving the bodies into the bedroom.
Edit: According to AC's opening statements and via JW's proffer
I'm also thinking if it was true that he came out saying, "I just shot my best friend" and the boys needed to calm him down.. do we really think he went back in and moved the bodies? I guess maybe, but I feel like if that really did cause him to panic a bit or become upset (I guess it's possible because it's one thing to say this is a good idea and another thing to be face to face with a one time friend that you just shot dead) I wouldn't send him back in to helpl move bodies, I'd tell him to stay outside while I went in and just moved them. I'm thinking Billy was outside calming down, while Jake was off getting the cameras and George was moving the bodies.Remember this, Billy Wagner had a broke back the night of the murders, he would have had a hard time moving dead bodies,JMO)
I think the group thinking allowed them to plan this, it sounded perfect in their minds and solved problems they thought they had. Just elimate everyone. It's easy to stay clear headed before you commit the crimes, but I wonder if the actual committing of the crimes then created lots of paranoia and poor thinking through. Good for LE and the prosecution that it seemed to go downhill after the fact, but the good planning before helped them go undetected for a while. I guess we might hear some of the thinking when Jake and Angela testify.Jeez... were they planning a scrapbook of the murders? Let's keep receipts for murder items, print out pages of false custody papers, and throw parts of weapons if not the weapons themselves on our property.
I just don't get it. So much thorough planning and so little actual thinking.
BW had a broken back? I did not know that. I guess GWIV would of had to do all the dragging in a situation like that thenRemember this, Billy Wagner had a broke back the night of the murders, he would have had a hard time moving dead bodies,JMO)

I didn't catch if they declined or asked to be done for the day and start tomorrow. Seems early to end if they had some questions.I have a feeling prosecution may finish out the day with this witness. Did defense decline cross exam?

Hard to refute facts and since he wasn't testifying to specific knowledge about the crimes or exactly why those suppressors were there, etc. maybe they felt they should draw no more attention to all that! LOLDefense declined.
