Yes it definitely could be a reaction to being nervous or fearful. Although, as an outsider looking in, I still think it’s harmful to him being a defendant and smiling big several times when addressing the judge . I whole heartedly want to see JW prosecuted to the fullest if he’s found guilty, however I feel his attorneys also have a duty to look out for his best interest and advice him about his demeanor. Smiling, whether nervous or not, is not a great image for him to portray while fighting 23 felony charges, 8 being for capital murder.
My post you replied to was: I don’t believe the W are behind Sheriff Readers subpoena. Not that I don’t believe W are behind the killing. I have only said it looks like they are guilty from the indictment, but I need to see the evidence to decide whether or not I feel they are guilty.
I think so.
If the drugs showed up in the system, I can't see why they wouldn't be noted.
I am not an ME, so I could be wrong.
IMO
Agreed. His atty. should, and likely will, talk to him. Idk how much good it will do if it is caused by nerves though.
I think it's possible he fessed up, although we still have no idea who the driving force was behind the murders. .I've given this some thought too. I see JW as being a bit naive. Being a child, living in the country, your playmates are usually your sibling(s), the closest neighbor kid, whether you really get along or not, and the animals on the place. It leads me to believe that HMR was probably his first real girlfriend. I also think that it may be possible that they ha d both sets of parents thinking that they were sleeping on top of the covers, and with full clothing on, say, sweats, for example... (Believe me, I've seen that happen...blows. my. mind.). So, at first, I thought he was just a naive young man, who thought that it's possible that since he had S, that he could be a possible placement for her 1/2 sis. I also thought that he may be naive enough think that he could get the girls visitation together (play dates).
Then, I also thought about the public FB argument, where HMR was pretty vocal about CG, and thought JW knew that, and he might know why, too, and just was hoping to keep in touch with the child, and just didn't understand the way the world worked.
After themurdersarrests, the comments make him look very different. Not in a good way, either. However, if he was so keen on keeping the girl's together, why would he move S to AK, unless he had to. Sometimes a parent has to move. There's just no choice. I then think back to FW, it's like she knew if anyone was innocent, it was JW;
Is it possible that JW is the mole?

I think it's possible he fessed up, although we still have no idea who the driving force was behind the murders. .
In my thoughts, before the arrests, with the laser focus, I even thought JW's family might have done it without his knowledge. Maybe they'd discussed it in a kind of smack talk fashion. Example: "Somebody outta take that whole bunch out!" but he didn't take it seriously. He could be conflicted after the fact even if he participated however. That guilt'll get ya'!
On the flip side another theory I previously dreamt up, maybe JW lost his cool and killed HR, then the family came in like fixers and took out anyone who would eat them out.
I could still think either of these variations except the for the discourse about the preplanning. It sounds so methodical, buying shoes and building silencers. It sounds so far out, but there it is. A real challenge to get inside the kinds of these folks and really analyze what they were thinking. Goose bumps.
I wonder which W made the preparatory purchases. They must've liked Walmart. I think of that picture in Alaska if the whole bunch marching along pushing a cart, kids in tow.
Prophetic. They liked Walmart.
Just a question. How do you interact with someone for days or weeks, look them in the eye, converse with them, knowing you are planning to brutally murder them?
You don't have to answer that. But it's a chilling thought. Could someone you interact with, someone you've let into your inner circle, be thinking evil things?
Links not working but I imagine I've read what you refer to. That story is in my mind as well. There is a story, as told by Fredericka Wagner under Legends, on how the Flying W
Farms acquired Little Boy Blue.
This is a prime example of the working mind of a covert narcissist. They do not
understand the word no. They are entitled. Their children are brain washed and
taught from birth that they are entitled and superior to others. JMO

I'm no expert...but I believe he has NPD in the covert form. MooI’m the same Almond, always studying something. Does he seem almost childlike to you? Something about him, in every pic or court appearance strikes me as odd. Idk exactly what it is.
I think, he adores attention. Any attention. He seemed to be quite personable towards his attorney, during his last appearance. MOO
That he's the mole? I didn't say that he was, I said, could he be? Ya never know. What a twist that would be!
I agree and I disagree. Back when Miniature Horses were a new registry; many of farms did this exact same thing. They were selling for thousands as a novelty. There is a similar story of Little King farm buying Boones Little Buckaroo. I was personal friends with Lowell Boone so heard the real story first hand. (sold for 100,000.00) But it was also printed everywhere just like this story. It was all publicity to keep the ponies selling for high dollar. These first breeders were brilliant at marketing.
I personally am leaning toward the ex mistress or her boyfriend the used car lot owner. I am wondering if Reader got tired of her and fired her to get her out of the workplace so he didn't have to face her. Or maybe his wife found out and insisted the mistress had to go.My post was about W not being behind the sheriff department issues. From the complaint it seemed to be someone close to the department. Every foreign substance should be listed. If the Me knew what to test for. The lists are pretty standard and specialized testing is done regularly. I just recently read an article about I will try to find it and post a link or two.

Has Violet Rhoden's murder been solved yet? She was a cousin to the Rhodens on UHR.
How close did VR or any suspects live to UHR?
TIA
I see it differently because I think it all started and ended with Jake. I see those big smiles as a way to manipulate the judge who is now the most important person in his life after his attorneys. I see it as trying to curry favor with the judge so maybe his sentence is lighter or he can get extra favors.
I think Jake manipulated his entire family to get them all to do this. I think he used the Clarence R issue to do that along with other things. But it was all about Jake who was furious Hanna left him and wanted to see her dead before her being happy with another man.
That statement of Fred's about Jake having nothing to do with it makes me think that as far as the family is concerned it is still all about Jake.
He is a psychopath IMO.
