The boys in the movie are supposed to be Irish, but your mention of FW dressing as a nun, (I don't see it but that's just me), threw me off. jmo.

I do see the possibility that the W's want to emphasize their version of religiosity (not to impugn other religions or people who are good religious folks) to influence the public and jurors. ("See, we're just good Christian folks like you"). They're not the first dangerous criminals to try that tactic. Promoting their faith may convince others that they're not guilty, are being framed or that they were justified to kill the Rhodens. You never know what will work with some people. Most of us wouldn't be swayed by such deception, but some might, on an unconscious level.

Other than FW's lawyer stating what he did, where have you seen that an of them, have touted faith? Of any kind? They might later if it goes to trial, but I don't see that as working for them. Most folks would be disgusted by that tactic (self included and I have no specific denomination).

I watched it last night. It was absolutely the 2 most boring hours of my life. Hubby stayed with me until about ten minutes in when the brothers sat up in bed in the jail cell. He gave a sigh of disgust and told me he was going to bed to have nightmares, thank you very much. I wish I had joined him because I actually did have nightmares about the movie.

But after watching the movie I am 100% certain the W's killed the R's. I am also 100% certain that Fred and her religious stance was involved from the beginning and maybe Rita also. I know why they did it but I am having a hard time putting it into words. Nothing convinced me of their guilt more than that movie. I wonder if that is when LE became convinced in their guilt also?

I also think that is why Jake gives that snarly smirk in court in front of the cameras. He feels so justified in the killings and is very satisfied in a job well done. He is convinced that when the jury sees why the W's killed the R's they and the rest of the world will praise him for what he and his family did.

Again, I am absolutely certain Jake manipulated his entire family into killing the R's because of his hatred for Hanna dumping him. He is the reason for it all and out of all of them he is the one who deserves the DP the most.

I hope everyone realizes the "father character" is played by Billy Connelly, a stand-up comedian from Scotland! (He isn't even Irish...go figure.) The Wag-men must be more delusional than I originally thought. Re-enacting a crime movie with Billy Connelly is the equivalent of believing SNL and Sharknado are real news events. Why do I get the feeling we have just hit the intersection of Weird St. and "You ain't seen nothin' yet. Avenue?"

Seems a bit juvenile... Doesn't it? The Marathon Bombers were around the W boys ages.

Thanks for sharing. One thing is bugging me. It's a fairly old movie. Is it of JWs generation?

What do you guys think? Is it a "cult" movie popular among young people you know? JWs age, G4's age, G3's age? Is it something we watch in family with mom Angela or more with John Doe?

It's a cult classic type movie. They even made sequels. There's a few really, really, bad movies that I watch, b/c of the actors in them, I find them so bad they are funny, or, they have a meaning to me (like my first date w/my now s/o, the movie we saw, was the most horrible movie I've ever seen, yet, it's a cult classic now, and we do watch it now and again).

I think it would be something that the W parents might have laying around in VHS format (it's that old). I'd not watch it with a child under 18 Then again, I'd not watch The Walking Dead with a child under the age of 18, but, I know of other parents who allow their 1st graders to watch with them (I'd maybe watch w/ a kid who was a Senior in h.s.)..

The ATF analyzed it and their report was submitted as evidence, so they must have found something linking it to use as a silencer and to the W's.
Yes, the ATF would be involved if a silencer/suppressor was found. They control the permits for having them...

It's the feeling I have too. Also, is JW wearing any tattoo?

Only the one that @Dudly saw. It's of a truck engine, I believe. We may not be seeing any others under the clothing. There is a couple lines, in Boondock Saints 2, that speak to the old tail about the Scorpion and the Frog (No good dead goes unpunished, sort of story). Another coincidence?

The living close to the cross thing. There is a reason her attorney used those words. They are not what is normally viewed as coming out of an attorneys mouth. I think those are the words that Fred told him to say along with the veiled reference to the sins of the prosecutors.

Oh my. There is a sequel to that trash that I have to watch? Hubby is gonna want a divorce. LOL His take on it in the first ten minutes was "in what world does an FBI agent decide whether to charge someone with a crime? That is the DA's office that does that." Then he went to bed.

You don't gotta watch it. I've already given you the Scorpion and the Frog tale, and there's always online research...

When lawyers go to trial, they don't tell the judge and jury what you want them to hear. The lawyer usually speaks with you, asks you about your history, where you're from, makes you feel comfortable with them, and then takes your history and presents it in a positive light, to the judge/jury. I've hired lawyers for defense. I've got a friend who is heading up a major case in Ohio right now. They aren't just a blathering mouthpiece for their client to speak through, to the judge/jury.

Yes. Of course. The diesel tattoo. I remember now. Too bad, diesel is obsolete.

A picture of one of G3's tattoos is on the list of evidence. (See list published this week.)

I don't know if this will be big enough to see well (BBL is in the lrh corner) but here is a map showing Peterson, Hillcrest (where DR worked), and on to FWF. I did it just to get a feel of how far/close everybody was/is. I think, the accused may have started at Peterson, ended at Bethel, or FWF, then went home to Peterson.
FABULOUS map! It really makes a straight shot, to FWF property. ("Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go?") The path taken makes a lot more sense to me, now that I can visually follow the roads. And, I think I understand why so many of you were trying to explain to us why KR was last on their deadly spree. (I really suck at trying to imagine locations without a physical map.) I have just one question, is the nursing home you have on your map Hillcrest or Hillside....there seems to be one close to Lawshe Cemetery or are there two, close together with similar names?

It should be Hillside, on Lawshe Rd. I'll update!

Had a thought this morning. Could it be GW3 was the one who felt wronged and wanted to wipe out the Rhodens. He got JW involved telling him it was the guaranteed way to get custody of S. They get GW4 involved because he wants to move to Alaska and Jake needs custody for them all to do that. Just another possibility...
I agree.
Now we need to figure out why GW3 felt so wronged by the R's, mostly I think CRsr?

RSD1200 Of course you are "constitutionally correct," but at what point does "safety for the public" and/or "safety for the victim's family" cross the line? You know I am not arguing with you, perish the thought. I'm extremely sympathetic and protective towards the victim's families, the bailiffs and everyone in the courtroom. And I think JW should be wheeled-in on a moving dolly like Hannibal Lecter. (I have my movie fantasies, too:D:D)
Statistically Piketon became the most dangerous town and county in the nation for 2016...I don't believe an impartial jury can be found there.
PS.. Thank you for providing so much good information.

I like a good argument, IQ! or rather, I should say, debate. If they were turning them all loose on society, then I'd have a problem with that. I do think they should have all of the defendants' feet shackled, but I'm not real concerned about their hands. Put a taser on their leg restraint and pour the juice to'em if they try to shuffle off.

Hmmmm...
"Boondock Saints" was released in 1999, most likely in a VCR format.
A burned up VCR tape was found in burn pit on Bethel. It is part of prosecution's list of evidence.
Maybe a certain VCR movie the W4 no longer needed???
