HOWCAN I do not know if RN was a notary. For now it needs to go into the "not proven" column? However, it begs the question, "Why would she be needed to forge anything?" since that is one of the charges against her. (The other charges involve lying to the GJ.) The W4's could forge their own documents and why would they choose to involve another person? These are DA Junk's words to the judge on her bail hearing, ..."And your honor, she is not charged with forging a car title or loan documents or anything like that." Starting at 2:11 of video.
Rita Newcomb arraignment
I thought it was odd those two specifics were mentioned and looked up Ohio vehicle registration rules. I noticed car titles in Ohio can be transferred with a "notarized signature" (source below) and many loan documents are also notarized. Another poster also provided info indicating someone with the similar name was a listed notary in their Scioto County, Ohio. county.OH - Pike County: 8 People From One Family Dead As Police Hunt For Killer(s) #35 *Arrests*

How to Transfer Your Car Title in Ohio - DMV.org
Ohio
procedure for transferring a vehicle title when buying, selling, inheriting, ... Have the seller assign the current title to you with a notarized signature.

The Notary has an embossing stamp and that, with their signature, is proof that they personally saw all people involved sign the papers. You normally have to show identification. With car titles, that keeps people from stealing a car and signing the title over to themselves with forgery. All banks and car dealerships have at least one employee that is a Notary.
Their stamp and signature are proof documents are not forged. They also can not notarize documents for family members or where they have any personal interest.
"In no jurisdiction would it be legal to notarize a document without the signing person present. ... It is impermissible to notarize the document after the person has signed. The entire point of having a notary is so that the notary can attest that the person who is alleged to have signed, actually did sign the document."

I answered my own question from my favorite Urban Dictionary site.
Crank is: slang for a low purity, crystallized Methamphetamine that is administered in a powder form. The drug received the nickname “crank” because it was often smuggled in the crank cases of vehicles.
That's interesting because there was quite a bit of used vehicle dealing with many of the parties involved in this case.
Interesting that only farms can purchase the Anhydrous Ammonia that is also used to make Crank, thanks for that information Fayette! I'm assuming farms have a legitimate reason to purchase it for their use.

Anhydrous Ammonia is used as fertilizer. There have been thefts of it around here from sellers. A few leaks have happened with people trying to steal it.

What is up with the smirky grins by JW and AW at their pre trials? Definitely don’t see it from GW3 or GW4
Ted Bundy did a lot of smirking at his trial too.JW walks into that courtroom with a little swagger and he thinks he's impressing people.Maybe he's already received fan mail from girls IDK JMO.

His arrogance might be his biggest downfall at trial..He seems to think he's smarter then the average Joe but i'll stick to what his neighbor on Peterson said about him "They're not the brightest"...and "They're sloppy mechanics"...Obviously they were sloppy committing these murders and their neighbor was dead on with that statement.

Welcome sunshineray! Good question about the 22 cal automatic. Wonder who used that one? Should we also assume this was the one that was used with the home made silencer?
Thanks Betty for the welcome! I've been following the case since the beginning here and on Topix. Never joined there but felt after lurking here since they closed down, that you all seemed like kind and sensible folks here so why not give membership a try.
I personally think if they went through the trouble of making a silencer for one gun, they probably made them for all the guns carried by whomever that night.

I agree not everything the defense will put out there will come in. But I totally and completely disagree on the point that the prosecutor’s investigator was fired based solely on attendance. I know that is part of what was stated, but we all know how that works. Jmo Dewine stated himself Sheriff Reader was part of every big decision made. Sheriff Reader and his brother (fired investigator for prosecutor who works for Sheriff department also) are both still under investigation into the Sheriff Department. If there is a way for the defense to make one juror doubt guilt they will try it. Jmo
Why was he fired if not for attendance? I am not sure that I do know how it works.

Let's keep in mind the 4 defendants are represented by at least 8 attorneys. They seem to care very much about how their client is viewed in the media. We had a good example yesterday.

Let's keep in mind, if these attorneys were here, they'd remind us their client is innocent until proven otherwise.

Personally, I am not comfortable engaging into a one-sided conversation where the starting point is Ws are guilty. Even more of crimes they are not accused of.

Let's keep in mind there is a big forum that closed recently. There is a reason for it. We need to have a fair conversation based on facts. Some lawyers work for free. Really? Let's not make them work at our expense
Were you on that forum? I spent a couple of hours there back when the murders first occurred. It was a free for all. I never went back.

I do believe in the innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The problem is this forum is not a court of law. There is no judge here, no defense attorneys, no jury or prosecutors. We are just a lot of people who come here to discuss evidence or whatever we can glean from MSM.

Apparently it must be a pleasant experience for us all since we keep coming back every day. I would like to keep it a pleasant experience. So in the spirit of that I am more than willing to enter a discussion or debate about the innocence of the W's.

But if that discussion is going to include rude comments, people pretending to be family members of either the Wagners or Rhodens, people pretending to be an "insider" with the whole scoop, sexual comments about the victims, 200 pages of utter nonsense posted by someone calling it poetry, or 500 pages of someone scrolling one word, then I'll pass.

Hi. I wanted to show a defensive stand it seems the w's were lazer focus i heard this 4 months into the investigation and 2 years 2 months later? It leaves alot of time like one pointed out jw is quilty for sure we have a baby girl and im not saying anything but what any lawyer is going to throw out there thats all. Hi raisinisback. I stated from the start look at my other post i said 3 or 4 men they had to be good size because they moved grown men around thats not easy but i will admit i didnt think of the wags as (lazer focus) for one i never knew how big bw was lordy he is big but you cant tell with just head shots and his boy looked kinda big but really if its the wags i was kinda right but jw is scrawny so nah maybe a driver but what threw me off the (lazer focus) is dewine letting the wags keep that baby all this time to me if they had one little piece of solid he should have kept that little girl jmo. But jmo i think drugs played that night maybe meth to stay up or?jmo To sume up its le's job to do what they do and if you get 50-100 together and they arrest these 4 then my money is on they got it right. I just wanted to show a lawyers view. iv been here from the start day one from derbys chickens road rage oh god. ect. im glad they arrested these people let the trials start tommorow. Thanks everybody
Hi Knuckles.
I am not sure what you are saying. Are you saying you think the W's are innocent? Or guilty?

Welcome, thank you for the compliment. We do try to keep things on the high road. Rumors and nonfactual information is not wanted here. The truth is bad enough, it doesn't need embellished. Personal attacks on other posters are not allowed.

According to Junk here is his personal view-

Junk declined to specify the reasons he fired Brian Reader, saying his office is an at-will employer and not required to provide a reason.

"I can let somebody go if I don't like the color of their socks," Junk said.

As an at-will employer, Junk said he also opts not to do employee reviews and does not maintain personnel files on employees, which had been requested by the Chillicothe Gazette on Friday. When asked about formal discipline, Junk said if something rises to the level he feels they should be disciplined, "I just let people go usually."

Thanks Dudly! I will always try to be fair and as factual as I can be. I'm not a trouble maker and hope to never be rude to anyone.
The more info on evidence they release, the more I'm starting to just glimpse the truth to Mike Dewine's statement that this whole tragic case is beyond belief. If the W4 are guilty I hope justice is served. The families deserve the peace that can bring.

Well now I think it might depend on what was on those socks that he objected to, haha. If it had to do with religion, the person's sex or nationality Mr Junk might be calked to task.

What You Can't Fire Someone For

A suppressed .22 isn't quite silent, but it does sound more like a pellet gun on steroids. You wouldn't hear that outside from 50 - 100 yards away. JMO

No I was not on that forum.

I don't do non-moderated forums. I have a big mouth and I would fear the pitfall of defamatory comments.

It is especially risky when you are not a lawyer yourself and when the conversation is not guided by the framework of a courtroom.

That's why we have TOS. But in the end, I am responsible of my own words. I try to keep them as fair and accurate as I can when they directly target an individual defending his future in court.
