I agree. This one is too dangerous for tips I think. I wouldn't, not by phone or any way to be traced anyway. No way!

I'd want them off the street, and I'd hope I'd call in, but, I'd have to do much prayer and soul searching b/c of fear for my family. If something happened and it got out, and the case fell through, then they'd be back on the street. If it were only me I had to worry about it would be different.

Double-checked and didn't find any info with a date after 7/20. Wish something informative would show up in the news!

Ray, what is your opinion on all this secrecy? Is it normal in most highly publicized cases such as one, or are things being stretched to the extreme?

Well while we wait for info, I have some questions and would like some opinions. Why were CR1 and GR "dragged" to the back bedroom? In all the other locations, according to LE; everyone else was found in their beds?
Doors were locked at CR1's and FR's. Was the door locked at DR's? Also window's were left open at CR1's and FR's. Were they open at DR's and KR's?

Chris Jr's car was at CR1's up on jacks?

The reason I ask is, it seems by the first 2 questions that all the "action" took place at CR1's.That means that whatever the reason for these murders, they needed something from him. IMO that means he was "the first target". But why? Did he have the info they wanted? Was he the biggest threat? By the small amount of info we have, soft tissue damage or bruising (belly, face, chest), that sounds like he was hit or "beat up". And 9 gun shots (used to inflict pain) they wanted to know something. I doubt it was for some kind of confession.

I believe it was decided that his car was up on jacks at his dad's. I don't remember if it was ever mentioned if Dana's house was locked or not, nor do I think it was ever mentioned that she did or didn't have any windows open.
I think it was anybody's guess as to why Chris and Gary were moved. The only logical thing I can think of is the killers wanted the living room empty of people, so if somebody came to the door and knocked, they might look in the window of the door and it would appear that nobody was home. I guess that would be important if the killers were hoping the bodies might not be found so soon. I still believe the killers were from out of town, and didn't know BJ came over every day early to feed animals.

Glf::I am thinking that this type of secrecy is normal in this type of case..You must remember that the A.G. Just had
another case like this one, not as serious, to be thrown at him.We street people must remember that this is all, I say all,
about politics...I can not discuss politics and for a good reason...Somewhere, the Rhodens have hurt somebody..<modsnip>

Do not post names of random individuals who happen to share the surname of a victim, witness or law enforcement official in this thread.

If someone has not commented in the press, been covered in the press, or been specifically called a suspect or POI in this case do not discuss them here.

Most would agree that a person(s) who has murdered 8 members of one family in a 24 hour period is a dangerous person(s).

Please think before you post. Is it useful? Is it true? is it relevant? Does it potentially harm an innocent? Does it place someone in danger? And then post accordingly. Thanks, tlcya.

Thanks, Ray, as usual, you are a big help, and give me plenty of "food for thought"! And I think politics stink! When 9/11 happened and Pres. Bush gave his retaliation speech, I told hubby I wouldn't have got on Nat.TV and announced to the world Afghanistan was in deep trouble, I would have blown it off the map. Robert told me I would have started WW3!

We've had this discussion before. I agree with those who've pointed out that using gunshots to inflict pain is not very common. More likely, CR1 confronted the intruders (or tried to flee) after hearing them break in, or hearing a commotion or gunshots in the front room. In the heat of the moment, it wouldn't take much for two intruders to fire off nine shots at CR1. My guess is that the killers planned to dispatch all victims quickly and efficiently. Only in this one location did things apparently go not quite according to plan.

Thank you for your reply. I just had some questions and like you and everyone on here, I have my opinions and thoughts. If voicing them upset you I am sorry.

Upset me? Not sure where you got that idea. :) I was just trying to summarize a previous discussion. Not that it's at all settled, of course. ;)

Sometimes it's hard to read a quote on here. When you said you'd already discussed it before, I took it as we are done with that. Again sorry. Just trying to keep things going until we hear more. I think Aug 4th is the date we should hear something about the autopsy. And I don't know about you but if I don't check in every now and then I forget everything that's going on. I just voice my thoughts and sometimes it leads to further discussions and maybe new ideas. This case just drives me crazy because of all the innocents that have been hurt by it.

Sometimes you crack me up glf!

I also have been thinking again (watch out) lol.
Did anyone else think that there might of been "inside grow ops" in an extra bedroom in CR1's and FR's trailers? If so, maybe they were getting ready to switch the "grow ops" to the basement under DR's garage. You know like the one they just found in Adams Co. We don't know if they found seedlings, half grown plants, or fully grown plants. Since it was spring time, IMO they had seedlings growing for planting in the fields when it became warm enough. That makes since to me since KR's daughter KR said her father had been doing that for years. Maybe other people didn't want them to "branch out". I am not a farmer and have only "smoked" pot a very long time ago, so I know nothing about how it grows, what's the best etc. But I live around tobacco growers and that's the way they plant the tobacco. I noticed they had those aluminum hot house frames in their yard at FR's. You wrap them with plastic and the tobacco seedlings are started in trays. When they reach enough height and weather is right, they plant them. Couldn't you use a tobacco setter on the back of a tractor to plant fields of pot, just like tobacco?

I don't recall reading that there was a basement under DR's garage. I thought it was under part of her house. I've never heard of a basement under a pole barn like that appears to beThey usually have a gravel or cement floor.

I could be wrong, but I thought I read there was the partial basement under her house and the red garage, not the pole barn.

hey glf, were did you go?

Dudley, I went to the scioto auditor's office and looked up Dana's property (under chris rhoden name) and I couldn't even find the mention of any basement. But I remember reading that on this website somewhere. If someone knows were it is, could you post it? If I'm wrong, I'm sorry. In any case, I think there was some kind of basement. Thank you.

Right here! Doing some checking on Lori's case in Kan, and Sgt Craig H in Tex. The guy who killed his wife in NC had a stand-in with police in Phoenix and shot and killed himself.
Not much I can say about growing pot or tobacco! Except don't mess with my smokes, (or my coffee)! Everybody would be running for the hills to get away from me. About all I have any luck growing is Ivy and Mother-in-law tongue. If it grows outside, I would probably kill it. I definitely did not get a green thumb from Daddy or Grandma.
I need to go back and refresh my memory on the basement (S) at Dana's. That's been too many threads ago for my brain. Let you know after I do some checking..
