Others too took multiple bullets. It is not because he took the most bullets that he was the person with most emotions against.

It could well be that he was the hardest to kill. My theory on this is that the shooter entered alone in the living room, by the front door, while both GR and CR were up.

This kind of confrontation - gunman vs 2 men at close range - is likely to unfold as follows:
- gunman shoots one in the face (GR)
- second person jumps on gunman
- scuffle for the gun. Gunman shoots and hits extremities : hands or legs, and possibly torso.
- then once the 2nd is down, the gunman finishes him off with a bit of energy.

To summarize, emotion can come in the confrontation.

We can discuss theories where as:
- there were multiple shooters
- gunmen had silencers
- dogs were dealt with meat

but you know there is much simpler than that :
- one gunman as usual
- noise naturally woke up people
- perp knew everyone including dogs

And no. In a family killing, the father is not necessarily the first victim or even the cause of the conflict. But he is often the strongest member of the family.
Your senerio seems to be more in tune with my gut feelings than other sugestions. Very true about him being more difficult. I felt that too all along. But I feel for some reason he was shot more than he needed to be. Could just be because he put up a fight and it made the murderer angry. For some reason I also had the feeling that the ones with the open windows were done last or were the closest to each other. They were open because the murderer felt it was nesesary to lock the doors to buy some time before being found out and they werent the type you could lock when you pulled it closed. Like a deadbolt. Worried that someone may discover something before he had a chance to finish or get away. It keeps nagging at me that the windows may have been the exit. Maybe they didnt have time to look for keys...

LE has been in the top of my theory list since day one. I could see getting by w/one home and two people but four homes and eight people? I just don't see your average citizen capable of pulling that off w/o significant assistance from a family member (knowingly or unknowingly).
May also could have been someone with military backgroud and not nesesarily LE. Broadens the spectrum on suspects.

A long many threads and posts ago, someone brought forth this article.

http://portsmouth-dailytimes.com/news/1014/13-indicted-in-greenup-circuit-courts

I still find this article very interesting. GR was from Greenup but had been staying with CR1. I'd imagine, 13 people indicted in a drug bust, is a pretty big deal. I'm still scratching my head about the list of names involved. I can't help to wonder if a tip led to this bust.

WOW just WOW!

When I read this I went back to the court/clerk page. When entering Rhoden - there were 81 results would come back .

Guess what? 31 now come back.

Is that just cause when you die they go away??

Maybe its small town stuff but POSS OF DRUGS - sometimes under criminal, other times under "traffic" ???

Cant keep up with everyone names tho!

skip around here - interesting

But, as much as we want to know, we don't need to know.

We might not, but I'm sure members of the family feel different. Not letting the closest relatives know how their loved ones died is just cruel and also meaningless, unless it's very meaningful. It's about time to ask LE to justify their reasons and odd behaviour in front of a judge.

1) CR1 was the father of the bride. He might have taken extra bullets just for that.

As I understand the man, whoever touched his little girl would probably receive death threats if not a good punch on the nose. May be that's what the extra bullets are for.

And, btw same for the mother and brothers. Whoever touched the girl, was in trouble with the whole family.

2) locks

How do you know they used deadlocks? Do we know who had the keys and who did not?

I would say that FR and DR had the key to the other places. I am pretty sure that the perp had been in FR and DR homes many times before. He could have known where the keystore is.

No I dont know about the locks.. I believe I said maybe....Just stuff thats been floating around in my head to support this feeling that the windows were used as exits. I dont even know why that theory has been nagging at me but it has.

The idea that the murderer could have had military training may fit better with the daughters age group but still having some of the training a LEO would have.

When I worked LE in a small town, we had a few officers who were selling drugs out of the trunks of their cruisers. A Detective friend of mine told me to stay out of it, or else I could end up hurt. He said the DEA was investigating, and they would do what they needed to. But it was well known that these officers got the drugs by shaking down some of the drug dealers... I would guess that there were several officers there helping to move the Cannabis, and someone threatened to out them for their role in this regard. No LEO EVER wants to face having to do even 24 hours in jail; you'd be in seclusion for your own safety for a long, long time before being moved into the general population. Here's the thing about Cannabis - it's bulky and it smells; to move it is always risky (if you got stopped and they sent out a Snoop Dog, it'd smell it right away) and challenging. It's easier to move (dollar for dollar) Fentanyl, Heroin, heck, even Cocaine. I think the SO there has a few very dirty and very bad LEO's in their ranks.

I just had a vision of them sending Snoop Dogg the rapper out to find the cannabis. I bet he could sniff it out for you!

This is really small town stuff. Think about it, in terms of LE what do they really have to do for 8 hours. I picture this like cops, when on duty, pull up into peoples driveways, get out, pet their dogs, maybe have a beer, made a sandwhich, go in for a drink, hang out in the car garage talking atlernators,, engine sizes, religion etcetc etc

Mom and pop.

I think folks in the area know the cops and the cops know the citizens. I think the dogs know the cops and the cops know the dogs. game of frisbee -ruff ruff! Coonhunt together.

Andy RFD stuff. Socialize, go to watch 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and dogs murder each other for some entertainment. Drink at the town bar. Their wives are friends with their wives , make some apple pies on Sundays after chruch.

Their kids hang out and go out and kill racoons for some fun.

Who knows, it may even be very common for Deputy Buck to have keys to friends houses........

My sense is seeing Deputy Bubba pulling up to someones house late in the night, or early in the morning would not concern occupants of the home, or folks passing by. Could be deputy Garth stopping in for a nightcap, or some early morning grits.

Seeing deputy Horace patrolling the streets at 3:30 in the morning is something familiar.

The above-mentioned "picture" explains a lot of things. No forced entries, no dog issues, no concerned witnesses, travel from location to location without a notice, the profound "hush" from day one to this very date. .

It might also , if we ponder LE involvment, (as a result of either looking the other way as it relates to the famiies many encounters with the legal system and/or some cash exchanging hands for doing so ) , for decades, allowing enterprises to continue without problem, we are also talking about relationships.

Intense relationships. Risky relationships.Dependent relationships. Relationships that mandate utter trust. Enmeshed.

If for some reason the " I will scratch yours", "you mine", that had been going on for quite some time, becomes threatened positive outcomes are highly unlikely.

Any party in these dynamics, who are wanting to end the game, possibly change the rules of the game, or threatening to expose the game would trigger some severe reactions, thought and feelings.

In addition, any changes to the game, not universally agreed upon by all the players, would directly impact not only those directly playing the game, but each of their extended families as well.

In whatever context, anyone who is going to threaten anyone elses family (financially/incarcaration/job loss as a result of exposed curruption ) IS going to impact that individuals whole family. Times are hard.

Therefore, it might be percieved by one party, that the other party, is in fact, messing with the other parties entire family as well. These perceptions IMO, in all liklihood, trigger some intense problems.

It could easily turn into one party had better retailiate before the other party has the time to complete whatever threatening change takes friurtion.

Immersed in a scenario pondered above, are , feelings of betrayal, , resentment, fear, disloyality and felling threatened. Folks tend not to respond in kind ways to such notions.

It would make sense, that in truth, intense feelings of rage, acrimoney, and animosity would be the understandable result.

A murderous rage.just might emerge............................................

No offense intended but PLEASE give me a break!

Not any worse than some ideas I've read. So, what is your theory?

@OhioAG's office says #pikecounty police command center is moving. Trailers and cars will remain in storage at old location. #cgnow

But the family members know how they died. They got the preliminary reports, just like we did. I mean, they died from being shot to death at close range. They know how many times and where, they went to their funerals. It's not like the autopsy is going to reveal some huge revelation that's going to change things for them. The family members are just not talking. The autopsy reports are not going to give them any answers as to "who" killed them, or "why". About the only thing it will tell them, that they don't already know, that they might want to know, is the results of the toxicology report. Personally, that would be the furthest thing from my mind in all of this. At this point, any alcohol, or other drug use, would be the least of my concerns. I also seriously doubt that they were all drugged, then murdered.

Could this be because everybody has thrown up their hands in disgust because they have no answers? Or is the state breathing down AG Mike's neck over the expense of manning a mobile command center? Either they are paying mileage on a daily basis for employees, or are paying for lodging and meals for people staying in Pike county?
AG Mike said something about being there for a long while if necessary. (Not a quote.)
Ray, what are you thinking?

Sorry this has no reply with quote, but I've tried it twice with what I want to say, and both times I got my msg typed, it disappeared when I tried to post. I hope this tablet hasn't developed a mind of its own and thought what I had to say was stupid!
There is so much missing where this case is concerned, I think it's driving us bananas. What I mainly would like to know where the autopsy reports are concerned is TOD, how many times each was shot, and the names of who was shot how many times. We know that info on four victims, I believe - Chris was shot nine times, two to the head, Kenny had one bullet to the head, Gary had three to the head, and a few weeks ago somebody showed me where to read that said Dana had two to the head. So that leaves four others with multiple bullets to the head, W/O knowing who had how many (names Assoc with number).
I'm thinking that info might help figure out more of a motive, or maybe come closer to the ages of the killers. Maybe, I could be wrong. The killers know how many times each person was shot, and approx what time each occurred, so that info wouldn't tell us who did the shooting, and wouldn't have any cause to alarm the killers. In no way is an autopsy report going to say, for example, Hannah was shot three times by Gertrude Smith. Because none of us have that kind of info, and don't believe the coroner or ME have that info! So LE could not possibly hinder the case by giving us that info. It isn't important to see the entire report. No need to know if three people had baked ham and buttered cauliflower for supper, or how much each person weighed. Drug tox screens would be good info, along with the other things I mentioned above.
Just like the incident reports and search warrants info. Those are certainly not secretive documents. I believe they could out all the info I have mentioned and not jeopardize the case in any way. Guess I'll just have to play it by ear and see what happens.

Glf, could you provide a link about Dana being shot twice? I haven't seen that article. Thank you

When did my hubby join WS? Seriously, great post hec60504. Hubs said basically the same thing, so he quit.

A few days ago, I posted about AG Mike interpreting the law the way he wanted to as to releasing info on this case. I said that because I knew I had read about public and private info, but couldn't remember where. It is in the "umbrella of suspicion" mentioned in post #667 above. He still makes me feel he expects us to believe that if he doesn't "feel" like something is public info, then it doesn't have to be released. And that is BS in my book.

That's how they roll in Ohio government. They sometimes make up their own rules.

What if partner LE players got fired and reciprocal arrangements were now null and void? LE no longer in the game, all Rhodens knew of game. LE demands not met. Adios Rhodens.
P.S... Go Blue Devils...not related to case. Related to poster.

On 7/1 thread 18, pg 51, post #753, hec60504, mentioned that in her post. On 7/2 I asked about that info. hec60504 pg 52, post 767 said the info came from the death certs. No link was posted. Also noticed you cannot "bring" a post here from another thread.
