Alright, my second shot at a map. It looks like there are some conflicting understandings in this thread as to where things took place, but I tried to go with the most widely agreed upon locations. If anyone would like me to change anything, let me know. I'd also be happy to add press photos and media to the location markers if that would be helpful.

But his response was still about him personally. He was very careful with the way he answered the question. And at the time he seemed pretty pissed off at whoever committed the murders and maybe didn't want to paint the victims in a bad light. Especially if he wasn't the one who arrested them in the first place.

Yes I know how he answered.. He answered with a Bill Clinton, "it depends on what the definition of is is" answer.

It isn't the norm and it made him come off as hiding something.

I was thinking the red garage was near Chris..

Here's a link to an early post by lonesomepaws that shows google maps of each location, along with initials of the family members killed there. It also includes google map routes of all the locations. Hope this helps. The link can also be found in the Media & Timelines thread.

ETA: the location with the red barn is Dana's home. She, Hanna & Chris, Jr. were sadly killed there.

Oh my goodness those maps are awesome, never saw those.
lonesomepaws did a great job with those.

Mine is just from remembering another convo, but it can be discounted, I'm not searching through 6 threads to find that lol.

Oh I definitely think he was hiding something but I assumed it was to help protect the investigation. They've obviously been keeping things close to the vest. I just hope they're actually getting somewhere and they aren't as clueless as we are. Lol

Deputy Brian Reader(who is the arresting officer in many of the Rhoden vehicle stops) is Sheriff Charles Reader's Uncle if I'm not mistaken. Not sure where I read that, but it was early in the case.

That deputy arrested Kenneth on 8/6/07 for violating a protection order (maybe 2 orders, he has 2 cases on the same day for the same thing). That's the only charge he was listed on. I did not check any of the non-victim Rhoden's cases.

This was KR's.

Maybe I'm totally wrong.

I believe this is correct locations.

How? Their arrests are public record.

You say "my office has had contact on minor issues with this family" and move on.

If someone will not be honest about those little things, they won't be honest about big things.

I'm very involved in pressers, that wasn't a good move and the press anywhere else would have ripped him to shreds.

Dope growers are farmers, as such, each crop is a gamble, it's a lot of work, and prices fluctuate. Those that buy in bulk from them can make a lot of money. Indoor pot is (almost) guaranteed crop, but still alot of work and very stressful. Maybe someone is financing the indoor grow and there has been a disagreement on percentage cut. or/and talking to much.
Not all pit bulls will tear you apart, some are quite friendly.

I think I never clicked post earlier on something I wrote so let me try again lol.
Anyone familiar with a big drug trafficking king pin that is currently incarcerated I think in Chillicothe I may have my counties wrong so please set me straight but I assume that's Ross county. Seems like it's a bad bad man with ties to many bad things he is waiting trial. My question was there had to be locals under his thumb distributing the drugs or dealing with him with his upcoming trial in July maybe this could have been related if they were involved with this man or a competitor maybe one of these victims I am going with KR or GR if so and message needed to be sent to any other locals that could talk or give info to help keep their own self out of trouble. He has been named on other threads in ws about his crimes but not here on this one. Just thinking of any possibilities and what stands out is if possible he was getting the word out to anyone else who might talk a calling card of sorts was left such as the dollars strewn around KR ... this guyI'm talking about is known as Dollar Bill.

Interesting,.

That might be right, I know Dana's area looked better. I was thinking the red building was near Frankie's because it was discussed maybe he used it for working on his car.

I have no idea and I would sooner pluck my nose hairs than to search all the threads to find that lol.
Just on case anyone missed this a couple pages back.

I've never had a car I had to drill holes in and we don't have to have front tags. All my cars have holes for tags in the front.

Usually nobody, not even dealers, will drill holes in high-performance cars, really expensive luxury cars or sports cars because they know the owners won't put on front plates, and even in states where they are required. It's a thing among car lovers. I bet you that red Mustang in Chris's yard does not have front plates.

My cars are manufactured with them and don't have to be drilled.

yep, i concur. its possible the Rhodens began to disrespect or have problems with their " partner". these type of folks really tend to have problems with anyone telling them what to do after awhile. they can buy into the whole outlaw mystique.

Let me ask a question. The AG called this a 'sophisticated operation" and a "pre-planned execution".

If you were planning this murder, what steps would you take that would cause it to be considered 'sophisticated'.

These are just the ones I thought of off of the top of my head and are pure speculation on my part, not facts in the case or anything.

1) Came prepared to deal with the dogs, either through use of pepper spray or meat.
2) Used bleach to splatter the scene
3) Picked up shell casings.
4) wore gloves
5) broomed out tire tracks
6) removed cameras

Feel free to add to the list.

1. Watch family to determine typical behavior and normal schedules

2. Search woods for trail cameras and removed or cover them up or wear clothing to disguise myself while I'm in view of the cameras. Do the same w/ any cameras on the property.

3. Find out where house keys are hidden and make copies. Figure out the passcode for any security alarms ahead of time or know some other way to disarm it.

4. Wear gloves

5. Remove shell casings

6. Cover shoes with plastic to avoid leaving footprints

7. Park a half mile from the house, preferably in a wooded area out of sight, to avoid leaving tire tracks behind on the property

8. Wear something to cover my face/hair so the 3 year old wouldn't recognize me

9. Use cohorts to serve as lookouts or distract animals

10. Wear some type of body armor/bullet proof vest to avoid harm

I have seen it many times in crime stories how hits are ordered and carried out and the person calling the shots are incarcerated.

Just wondering is it possible that government could seize the assets and/or property of where these grow ops were in this particular situation? Guess time will tell.....

  • #580
But I think the tod is not gonna mean much - I do not think 18 seconds between shots is gonna tell us a lot - it can not be like they went into one house killed somebody and came back in 4 hours --liver cooling is pretty slow IMO

It could. For all we know, Kenneth could have been killed 48 hours before the others. He was alone. So we just don't know, until we know the last time somebody saw him alive..
