I doubt that she was killed at that scene as she was redressed, and the rest of her clothes have never been found.

Ugh. I know. Just to expand on my best case, albeit probably unrealistic, scenario: He could have redressed her after the fact to fulfill some part of his sick fantasy, just not all of it since there was no sexual assault.

I just don't want it to be that she was awake and tied up in that barn for any amount of time.

They mentioned a burn barrel in the yard. I assume he probably burned her original clothes.

I've seen mention in articles in the past day or so that they found a pair of her underwear on the property. Has that been confirmed, or are they referencing the pair in his stash that had a bloodstain and her DNA?

I have been following this from the very beginning. My heart goes out to Sierah's (& Josh) family, friends, the community & everyone affected by this case. I grew up in Lyons, went to Evergreen and never EVER thought something so heinous could happen.
Thank you to everyone who provides updates....it is very helpful since we no longer have the live feed. I am grateful for this site and to see so many people who care and want Justice to be served.
I was wondering about the red shorts. They were never recovered? Did LE.say the burning barrel was warm when the property was searched?

After viewing the video clip from 13abc it is just disgusting to hear his attorney . Still not sure how he managed to leave his house and make it to Road 7 and not have anyone see him.

Did LE.say the burning barrel was warm when the property was searched?

I know I saw at least a video clip of them asking someone about the barrel. I believe it was the male investigator on day 2 that was asked if the barrel was warm, and he said he did not recall.

It's kind of incredible what this monster was able to brazenly accomplish without actually being caught in the act of doing it.

Helmet found by the farmer on the 19th and turned into authorities on the 20th when he heard that Sierah was missing.

"Haselman said a motorcycle helmet was found on the road and taken by TV near the scene that same day. The Jaspar, Mich., farmer, who farms in Fulton County, surrendered the helmet to the county’s authorities the following day after hearing of Joughin’s disappearance."

IIRC he found it the eve of the 19th but turned it in the next day after hearing of Sierah's disappearance.

I'm betting the fact that TV found the helmet is the whole reason JW was caught as quickly as he was.

If I had to guess I bet JW went back that evening to clean up the abduction site and to retrieve his items but when he realized that the most damning evidence (the helmet) was gone he knew he was in big trouble. I think that is the moment he decided that he couldn't keep SJ on his property.

He may have thought LE already had the helmet. When confronted you tell he was sort of relieved in thinking someone else found it, hence why he says "tell them to bring it back"

I wonder if JW left and the farmer picked it up and then JW went back to get it and it was gone. Most likely wasn't in the plan to go back or leave anything.

If you go to this WONDERFUL spreadsheet, and click on the SW tab, you will see all the dates of things collected. Its also good to go to the top of the tab, and do a sort on the date so you can see what dates everything was collected.

I'm just starting to review, and is giving me more understanding after the testimony once this tab is sorted on dates of what they searched and took. I could do screenshots, but think would be too much.

Thanks to all posting the updates. I am nearly speechless and sickened by the evidence as all of us here are. I was planning on going to the trial but am now glad I was not able to. I can't even imagine what the family must be feeling, having to sit there with that monster and hear everything that happened. My thoughts are with all Ce's loved ones.

He later said he left again that night in his truck to look for his lost helmet, after investigators told him he was captured on surveillance video from Evergreen High School."

I can't remember if we knew they saw his truck on surveillance prior to the hearing. I wonder what time.

I think that indeed is why he left that scene that night, as he knew he may have been spotted, and took the motorcycle through the cornfields towards his house vs. on the road. Then later came back with truck.

There's so much to bring one to tears... knowing that her mom perhaps drove by that scene when she was there.. from link... as the scene is VERY near on the same road as the g'mas house. And someone picked up his helmet prior to him returning with the truck. (it is on the 20th evidence sheet)
