I'm presuming the person using such device would also have to get lucky with the number combination unless the combined 4 or so numbers were a date of birth known to the perp

I think he must have had some sort of idea of how to get in because he drove ten hours. I can’t see him making that trip several times to see if they left a door unlocked.

Seems like he just "disappeared" from his life in Las Vegas earlier this year after this lawsuit came about??

Has anyone else accessed the malpractice lawsuit? It was filed May 2024. I was able grab a screen shot from one of the pages before a load error came through but idk if we're allowed to post it here since the document names other people not related to this case? I can post with redacted names if source is needed but its through the Clark County, NV records.

Basically the courts tried to serve him at his home in Vegas on 9/30/2025 (looks like he purchased the Vegas home in 2022). They tried again on 10/1 and 10/9 but nada. They noted the TV was on the second time and then turned off but no one came to the door. Once they couldn't serve him on 10/9, the courts discovered his medical license had expired June 2025 so the process server called one of the other defendants in the lawsuit who told them he had no idea where Mckee was and that he just "disappeared" (this call was also 10/9). Then they discovered he had an Illinois license and were able to serve him finally on November 25 2025. The case was supposed to go to jury trial in July 2027. The case was about an 8.6 inch piece of an endovascular catheter instrument that was left in a patient in July 2023. According to the lawsuit (not proven to be true or false, just what the lawsuit alleges) Mckee and a colleague were supervising another physician so he wasn't the one actually doing the surgical procedure but the device was left in the patient and then he ended up going to the emergency room the same day post op.

Sounds like he was slowly spiraling jmo

So, 22 minutes after the first CCTV sighting from the alley. Interesting they have it down to the minute.
What were the timestamps for the CCTV sighting in the alley?

Any guesses on how he proceeds? Does he make this a quick deal, confess, plea, and end it? Or does he fight it all along the way? From extradition back to Ohio all the way to a jury trial?

It is possible that he could try to delay any trial in Ohio for as long as he possibly can by claiming that he is incompetent or that he is criminally insane.

But it would be difficult for him to prove incompetency or insanity considering that all of his actions were premeditated.

IMO, when it comes to 'injustice collectors,' there's really no rational reason for their actions since most of the hostility is built around perceived wrongs-- versus what most would deem real and/or actual wrongs. McKee may have been triggered by seeing a Hallmark holiday special, and angry that his ex-wife appeared to be living a Hallmark life during that fatal week.

For example, I just watched a YT series this week for the ten year anniversary of the 2015 DC Mansion Murders, by Mike King (Profiling Evil). In this case, Daron Wint, the convicted killer, had been terminated from the family's construction firm 10 years earlier.

While some suggested that Wint had been flagged for deportation in 2015, and retaliated against Savvas Savopoulos, Wint, a certified, union welder, certainly could have found employment elsewhere between 2005-2015, or the 10 years since he was terminated from American Iron Works! Totally irrational motive. JMO
I have not heard that term “injustice collectors” but it is the perfect name for it. I was married to one previously. The anger and resentment 10 years later in this case does not surprise me one bit. For those having a hard time wrapping their mind around how someone could still hold on to resentment and anger this long likely have been lucky to never have someone like this in their life. There is no rationalization or understanding of their behavior because it is not normal. Their rationalization of their injustices collected over time is a convulted, enmeshed, tangle woven web to built protect their delicate ego but also will not allow that anger to release. The more they isolate within this tangled web, the more they build a world in which so many (in their false jilted view) have wronged them. If they are a vengeful violent person, this can lead to disastrous and dangerous consequences. As in this case.

If he was smart, he would work out a plea eventually. But we all know that men like this will never admit wrongdoing on their part. So, sadly, he will likely plea not guilty and make it go to trial. I’m sure the digital evidence is absolutely overwhelming along with the CCTV. I wouldn’t be surprised if the family had cameras in the house that may have caught him in the house as well. Likely computer searches, digital correspondence to her with underhanded threats, video of the car driving to the scene and away from the scene paired with cell phone triangulation, ballistics tied to his gun that he has a verified purchase for. Just my opinion but I imagine he has no chance of standing up against the evidence in court.

I reckon this was highly premeditated, not some type of psychotic break like defence may try to say. He figured out previously that the balcony door was only latched and not locked. Or tested basement windows which were probably being used as a fire escape.

I agree. It's my opinion that if hadn't obtained easy access to the home, he would've busted in one way or another.

Much riskier, but he was a man on a mission. After driving 5+ hours, I can't see him saying, 'oh darn, this lock is tough...I'm gonna go home then.' MOO.

100% agree that he was a man on a mission. And that mission most definitely makes it premeditated, coupled with a long drive to get there. He had plenty of chances to turn around and go home. But instead he pressed on.

How long has this idea been buzzing around in his head? Did he ever waffle and go back and forth on murdering them? Or has it always been his mission to wipe them out?

Killing them both makes me think that they were both on his hit list. I don't think that it was just Monica he went after, and the only reason he shot Spencer was because he became a threat. I don't believe that for one minute. Had he just wanted to kill Monica, he'd have gone over to the house while Spencer was at work and done the job. But, since he snuck in in the middle of the night, knowing FULL WELL they'd both be home and asleep... that makes me think he hated Monica for leaving, and he hated Spencer for winning her love AND being happy as heck with him which was evident in all the pics I've seen of the 2 of them.

I'll bet he has NO memory of her enjoying her time with him as much as he's seen her do with Spencer. So he hated him too for "taking" what was once his.

All JMO.

A baby monitor, Alexa type device, or an alarm system could have recorded the gunshots.

Wonder his actions in the days following. Did he go to work as usual? How his family perceived him over the holidays?

My guess is he will make a quick deal and confess. He already achieved what he wanted, the SOB. JMO.
If he is smart, he will confess, plead guilty and take life in prison without parole. We shall see what he does.

He will avoid dragging the family through the painful details and events of the crime, and forcing the Ohio taxpayer to pay the cost of a high profile ego driven defense. And avoid getting the death penalty.

The death penalty is on hold right now in Ohio due to trouble finding the execution drugs. But he can still be given that sentence and sit on death row hoping that Ohio doesn't resume the practice.

This said, I don't know what this guy has in mind as his next step. Or what the prosecutor is thinking. But even the mild members of the local public have harsh legal wishes for this guy.

So you think it was his car? I just thought it was curious how it was mentioned that it was associated with him yet didn't say owned by him. Of course LE may have already gotten a tip from the Tepe's inner circle that this guy was bad news. I can't wait to learn more!
The police are saying he drove his own car to commit the murder. This is how they located him in Illinois. They easily tracked him going out of town.

Interesting when you read this how LE released the video of the perp and probably knew exactly who did it. Makes me wonder what they were looking for? Did they receive more tips? I just have a feeling they were on to MM very soon after this happened. It's also interesting the wording "linked to a vehicle", makes me wonder if it was a rental car. Do we even know what he drives?
Maybe they were getting their ducks in a row and wanted to release something to the public. And also hoped to get additional corroboration of what they already knew.

I just thought of one tiny speck of gold in this awful case. Larry the dog will probably now get to live with his brother/sister who was adopted from the same litter by BIL and Spencer's sister. I daresay they have had a few playdates over the years, and will enjoy living together.

So if you “heard” someone say something in this regard could you post a link to the audio or video?
Or did you mean that you “read” this information somewhere?
It was a commenter on a podcast last night. She said that police can put a powder on the keypad and with a special light they can see which keys are used by I’d think the oil in the fingers.

I wouldn't be shocked if there was some ongoing more recent contact between Monique and MM. I have a wonderful daughter who is happily married but she (and her husband) maintain contact with prior partners. Its just her way - she sees these persons as part of her history and therefore part of her life. This includes one man who was not kind, nor gentle with her feelings. She draws boundaries though, which I am sure Monique would have done. I also think MM may have abandonment issues which are preventing him from letting go. This is not to say Monique placed herself at risk (I am ABSOLUTELY not saying that) - just that MM may have believed there was still a chance because of that ongoing contact. When it became crystal clear that was not the case, he crashed.

So he wasn’t practicing in Illinois but Las Vegas? I thought he owned a condo in Illinois. And practiced there…
