I think the most insightful window into this man's mind will be coming from his recent ex-the one who he choked and she was afraid to go through with the charges because she feared him.Early on, there were comments from neighbors with kids the same age as MH's girlfriend's son who said their kids slept over there and he was "normal" popping popcorn and jumping on the trampoline with the boys.Neighbors also said he used to go for long walks in the woods alone and one of the last sightings of him before this all broke was MH walking down some wooded trail alone wearing his backpack.Anybody else remember all this??

Yes, I read all of that, too.

The neighbor (DD) also said that he would often walk down the trail with trashbags, sometimes coming back with them and sometimes not. A local posted that there's a dumpster near the park. So I decided he was probably leaving his house with a bag of trash to leave in that dumpster, and then sometimes coming back with a bag of leaves.

I want to give a shout-out to all of LE and the volunteers that were involved with this case. It is truly amazing that Sarah was rescued. Excellent police work helped find her, and excellent interrogation skills got MH to lead them to the bodies! :clap::clap:

I wonder if she had any sixth sense about pressing charges or it was purely based on fear. Been there... scared to stay, scared to go...it's a very vulnerable place to be and hard to make decisions. She is probably in a pretty dark place now, but at least shes alive too.

I wonder how long his electricity had been shut off.
I sort of took it from the neighbor interview, that he collected leaves long before the issue of the electricity.

“Davis said : She said he walked to Foundation Park almost every day and was a "nature person" who collected leaves.”

I did not get the feeling they were for insulation.
Maybe I am wrong.
Doesn’t seem to me that bags of leaves would do much for insulation from a cold Ohio winter.

No mention of the dog-I just remembered two other things I read(can't remember where,I've read so many interviews and comments on news stories) #1 The ex of MH did not believe him about what happened to their two dogs while she was away and #2 One of the females involved strongly resembled Mh's recent ex.

That rainbow picture/photo needs added as attachment or resized it is stretching out the margins sooooooo bad.


They could have had the receipt from Walmart, DNA of his from the house, the connection with also being present when the truck was found on Thursday.

They put it all together and sit outside his house for a bit with a high tech listening device and hear him either talking to Sarah and mentioning her name or at some point hear her talking/screaming/crying.

That is how they knew she was in the house.

Just a theory.

Good points. Or a neighbor could have heard screaming coming from the house and have managed to talk with her through a window too. Or as someone else said, maybe she had a cell phone with her and either they traced her pings to the home or maybe she managed to call 911.

Iam not sure if this has already been said,but,maybe when the blood found in the home was tested,Sarah's blood may have been the only one not found.This (along with the receipt & with MH found sitting in his car where the Truck was found) could have led LE to suspect that he might still have Sarah.

It was said by LE, that they had hoped to find 2 of them anyway, in MH's home that day. Perhaps LE did find blood for Tina and Stephanie, but not Kody or Sarah, and that is why they had hoped to find the pair of them at MH's house.

The cause of death might be different for Tina/Stephanie, and Kody.

If MH was stalking Stephanie, he likely entered the home sometime between the last text at 11:30 am and the time the kids got home from school.

The original target may have been Stephanie.

Then, when the kids came home, he developed another plan.

If Sarah did know about the dog, what did the poor child know about her family?
MH may have told her these things in his basement, or she may of known otherwise.
I certainly hope it isn’t “otherwise”.

If anyone is wanting clarification on the report of MH's house being "lined with leaves", there are reports of the FBI questioning this information, in this interview.

Another point about the leaves in the home. Decomposing leaves would have made the home smell like the woods. A smell that he evidently was comfortable with.

Neighbors have said when he was spending time in the trees that they felt like he was spying and eavesdropping on them. I wonder if he was a window peeper too?

I can't remember. Do we know when the kids would get home from school. I know someone mentioned the bus but I don't know what time they got out and when the bus dropped them off.TIA

So surreal talking about those two kids just getting out of school and heading home like any other day.

It's 2-3 pages down. Initials AL asking about the dog. People stated she said he killed the dog in the comments.

I'm still confused about why ex-bf Borders was not jumping off the walls when he returned to find blood splattered all over the house.

• Herrmann's manager at the Dairy Queen enters the King Beach Drive home to check on her and finds blood. Herrmann's pickup truck is gone.

• A deputy sheriff gets permission from Borders, Herrmann's ex-boyfriend, to enter and finds an "unusual" amount of blood. The family dog also is missing.
