Omg I keep reading JFE's FB wall. I'm so sad. Actually, it's making me irate. I believe he and his 2 buddies are guilty as sin, they confessed plus they were captured on surveillance hiding a gun. However, when I read his wall it truly makes me understand how defense lawyers can do their jobs and be proud. Reading all of those absolutely disgusting comments makes me understand why Baez threw George Anthony under the bus to save Casey Anthony from the death penal. People are going way beyond the normal joking about a man going to jail. This is serious and I hope it's being reported.

A good 50% of the people posting comments there sound every bit as dangerous as these three, IMO. I know they're probably just keyboard warriors but its still chilling to read such hatred.

Not defending a murderer, which I personally believe they're ALL murderers, but trying my hardest to just stick to the facts.

I absolutely cannot grasp why MJ is charged as a juvenile. I understand plea deals. I understand the first to speak is almost always helped. I cannot understand, in this particular instance, why he's getting off o light. It's not right. They all made a pact to kill somebody that day bc they were freaking bored. It's just not right. This isn't 3 bored kids that stole a darn car...they stole a man's life! Stuffed him out while he was innocently jogging!

No, not in this case. He was definitely referring to the album. It went for sale on Aug 15th late night for download.

Eerie coincidence, and it's unfortunate that it was posted so, so, so very close to when they killed a defenseless animal and shot a man in the back.

I think it's pretty obvious that J***s drove the car, and since he did, and since he had knowledge that a shooting was taking place (*maybe, he did have a shotgun in his trunk), he is being charged with that. I have a feeling that J***s probably didn't get out of the car, was a "lookout" of sorts, and now this entire case has me feeling that this was an "initiation" on his part.

I couldn't find a single reference of J***s on the other teens FB pages. I don't know about you guys, but taking random people with you to commit crimes seems a little off. Unless, well unless they are there to repay, or prove something. That's the only two ways I can see it.

This makes total sense. Except I thought the kids just wanted to be gangsters but weren't? I can't stop thinking about how much shorter J***s is compared to the other two.

Exactly. Did you see how they killed the dog? So sad! What is wrong with people?

I grew up in a rather bad, but "not that bad" neighborhood when I was a teen.
I think the moment my parents really knew it was bad is when a friend was shot with a sawed off shotgun, in the head, for the car he drove.
His car was found burnt out in a city really, really far away. Made no sense then, cause we hadn't found the body. My friend was found missing most of his face and neck, in a trash can, behind a car wash.

The person that shot him even had the nerve to show up at his funeral.

So, long story I just told short, that kid basically did it to "prove" himself to another kid (yes, I was 16 when this happened, around the same age as this kids). That kid wanted a spot in the clique so he could go out and do other random acts of violence, like robbery (which he was also charged with in another connection after the murder).

Gangs aren't the gangs you see on tv.
In fact, here in Los Angeles, I see children skating up my street at 3 AM shaking paint spray cans and vandalizing my neighbors home with their gang tag.

Do I think it's possible that MJ got caught up in the thrill of acting a fool, most definitely. I have seen it, I even confront it some random 3 AM on my street. (I garden all hours of the night, I worry about my orchids.)

Does it excuse anything that he was involved in? ESPECIALLY SINCE HE HAD A SAWED OFF SHOTGUN IN HIS CAR? Hell no.

They can all be served what they should be served. I don't think any 3 are valuable members to the society I want to live in. Neither are the punks that spray paint my neighbors front door.

This appears to be a crime committed by minors. Here is the rule on minors. Please edit your posts if necessary.

If the minor has not yet been named by LE or we still don't know if the perps will be tried as adults, please change their names to initials.

MINORS

Websleuths does not allow the naming of, or photographs of, minors (children under the age of 18) unless the child is a missing or deceased person or where law enforcement has identified the minor as a perpetrator of a crime and the minor will be tried as an adult.

Thanks,

Salem

What does this mean: youthful offender tried in adult court?

Teens charged after allegedly killing Australian student in Oklahoma for the 'fun of it'
Published August 20, 2013

Snipped:
Officials say 22-year-old Christopher Lane, who was visiting the U.S. on a baseball scholarship at East Central University, was jogging along a road in Duncan, Okla., after visiting his girlfriend on Friday when he was shot in the back, allegedly by the teens.

Terri Moore from the Stephens County Courthouse says 16-year-old CL and 15-year-old JE were charged as adults with first-degree murder. Both are being held without bond.

Bond was set at $1 million for 17-year-old M*****l J***s, who allegedly drove the vehicle carrying the other suspects. He was charged with the use of a vehicle in the discharge of a weapon and accessory to murder after the fact. J***s is considered a youthful offender but will be tried in adult court.

Prosecutor Jason Hicks called the boys "thugs" in court, saying CL was sitting in the rear seat of a car when he pulled the trigger on a .22 caliber revolver and shot Lane once in the back. Hicks said J***s was driving the vehicle and JE was in the passenger seat.

JE has had run-ins with the law previously and had been in court Friday, the day of the killing, to sign documents related to his juvenile probation.

"I believe this man is a threat to the community and should not be let out," Hicks said as he requested no bond for JE. "He thinks it's all a joke."

Though J***s was not charged with murder, he claimed in open court Tuesday that "he pulled the trigger." The judge ordered him to remain quiet and said it was not the day to discuss the case.

Much more at link...

Boggles my brain that this kids have their hands on such violent weapons, with scratched off serial numbers, modified for super (and I mean super) damage, and the parents are yelling they are good kids.

Really?

REALLY?

What spins my lid even more, the murder weapon is still missing. Someone they know took the gun and has it hidden due to this case.

I have no words. Old wounds, modern reporting, etc. etc. ... I am going to step out.

I FEEL so bad for the parents, friends, and family of Chris Lane. It won't ever make sense to them. Ever.

Hi PrairieWind. JE & CL were charged as adults but J***s is charged as a juvenile in adult court. Could you please explain what that means? Does that mean he's charged as an adult even though their officially saying he's charged as a juvenile?

Chris Lane - perfectly wonderful person, educated, athletic, great family, wonderful friends - his whole life ahead of him taken away in less than a few seconds. Makes me vomit!

Sherbertjello thanks for the post above. I have heard that on the tele over here a couple of times that they wanted to be like the "gangstas".

I just want to say that I am really sick of these "gangstas" being revered as role models by youth.

Believe me it is not only in the US, your society has a really big influence on the rest of the world because you are dominant in music and tv shows. ESPECIALLY here in Australia. In fact a lot of musicians etc that come here and like it describe it as being like the US 20 or 30 years ago.

We see the kids here dressing like gangstas and wanting to be like the ones they see on the tv and mostly music clips. It is cool to be "bad 🤬🤬🤬" you might say.

I personally can not understand it. I see some of "musicians" that are huge and have been in gangs etc prior as just scum, and the woman wanting to be there "biatches" is just awful.

I am trying to direct my boys to better role models, but who I don't know.

Also I will mention that I am up in the north of queensland, north of Australia which has a large aboriginal and islander (torres strait, pacific islands) population. We are having a massive juvenile crime problem here with mostly stealing cars and breaking into peoples homes. Thankfully no guns are involved. But they have started wearing the hoodies and forming gangs and trying to be "badass" like what they are seeing on the tele.

I don't want to play the race card but are just telling you a realistic fact as to what is happening here.

The kids of the world need a complete change of attitude as to who are there role models!

The chief on this case in on Erin Burnett (CNN), and per him, the 17 year old, MJ, is the one talking.

They do have surveillance video.

Are you freaking kidding me? Without a doubt the USA will fund these crimals' defense but Christopher Lane's parents have to pay to have his body sent back to Australia? Wtf? In all seriousness, WE SHOULD PAY TO HAVE HIS BODY SENT BACK TO HIS HOMELAND!

His old team, Essendon, scheduled a memorial game for Sunday to raise funds for Lane’s parents as they worked to have their boy’s remains sent home.

That's what I thought...

But the chief needs to set the story straight about the Bang 2 drops comment... Otherwise he's gonna take heat I'm sure.
