Sherilyn got the gun used , if she would have also got the holster used as well there wouldnt be much use in reading the pattern of the wear.

Just curious, I am still trying to catch up, but do we know that the gun and holster were purchased together or is it possible that they were bought at separate times?

No matter if the .22 and holster were prurchased at the same time. My issue is simply whether or not anyone knows if either Bobby Jr or Sherilynne, were known as lefties or righties. Does that help?

That's true. Thanks for the reminder, soul.

little and Soul- love you guys...but this is not LE verified info. Can someone provide the .22 info.... other than a family member saying "she bought it off the street?"
TIA

Well you should have asked sooner.

Sherilyn's broom would tell you if she were left handed or not. We dont have that but Mrs trooper might know or have pictures of the house.

Also pictures of Sherilyn wearing watches might help Bobby too.
Maybe the writers lump could be seen from photos with a certain degree of might- be -rights?

I will tell you as a left handed person they tried to switch me in school to a right handed person. It didnt work but a side effect (or a normal left handed trait) is that I have no sence of direction at all. I really have gotten lost in parking lots. It was a huge parking lot in my defence. I do well in little ones.

Half my family is left handed, my Dad, my brother, my husband and my daughter. Of those only my father is ambidextrous. In fact, when my four year old was younger if I put something, like a spoon, into her right hand she would look so confused that she might fall down. She would literally flip the object upside down and stare at it -then me, until I put it into her left hand, at which point she would just proceed as normal without missing a beat. After watching her do this I had a fair amount of conversations with other lefties about this and it seems, very unscientifically of course, that ambidextrous lefties are the except rather than the norm. If that is true then the 2 most likely answers is that 1. They are right handed or 2. They are left handed.
I'm joking. I'm joking.

I've seen at least one photo of Sherilyn brushing Madysons hair with her right hand. I've read that Sherilyn was a hairdresser so if she worked at a salon it's possible that they would know since if she had been a lefty she would have most likely had lefty scissors and her coworkers would have most likely observed her cutting hair with her left hand and people usually remember this feature since it's out of the ordinary. Also if Bobby played baseball in high school maybe there are some photos or articles somewhere that would identify him as a southpaw. Just a thought of other places to look for the answer.

No, I can't, Oriah. Sherilyn's mother is the one who stated she was with her when she bought it. From someone in Muskogee.

Which arm they wore a watch on would be our best bet. It is incredibly hard for a left-handed person to get a watch onto their left-hand, believe me! (I got an unsightly tattoo on my left wrist when I was 18...would wear a watch there to hide it. With enough practice I could do it, but it was really hard to get it on there! They also tried to make me right-handed in kindergarten...a bad, bad thing for teachers to do!)

(O/T to Cazzie: you must be a Lost fan! :) )

In the April 2004 album on the FTJ page, there is a white stripe on Bobby's left wrist where his skin is not tan -- where I am assuming he wore a watch.

BBM: LOL! My partner had the same issue in school with trying to get him to switch (he's a leftie through and through.) Also, in the military (he was a sniper) they first made him prove effeciency as a righty shooting- and then once completed that, was 'allowed' to switch to shooting as a leftie.

He does ok in parking lots though, lol.

Oh my gosh, your a sweetheart!!! Thank you so much! I can't wait to tell Billy! I know he will be just as touched as I am. Thank you Thank you!!

I'm almost certain I have that paperwork. Give me a little time to get my hands on it, in the meantime let me know how to get it to you. Shouldn't take long...probably tonight but tomorrow at the latest.

I'm still smiling....you made my day!

Glad it made you smile. And if you can get that to me, thank you mucho, saves me time that I seem to be in short supply of lately. :)

Anyone feel like digging up (again- sorry) the link to the media interview with the guy who lived with the Jamisons who reported that Sherilynn "held a gun to his head" ?

TIA.

ETA: has anyone made recent contact with this gentleman?

I have pictures of the house.

I suppose I can put the righty/lefty issue to rest. ;)

However- I want to stick with the .22 issue in a big way.

Question for wfgodot regarding what most Oklahomans consider a 'large' cache of firearms?

O/T But wouldn't it be nice if whoever has the answers to the Jamisons disappearance would just....say so?

Unless perhaps the only people that have those answers are all dead. :waitasec:

A 'large' cache? Or 'stockpile,' as the Okie wouldn't probably use an effete term like 'cache'? Well, a large one might consist of maybe eight handguns and eight to ten rifles and shotguns, to gun people. I would actually estimate 'large' to be defined as "four to six handguns, a shotgun, a shotgun sawed off within legal limits, and at least two rifles." Some of the weapons would be uncertainly registered, I imagine.

The Jamisons may not be dead, but they sure weren't at WalMart just now.

I believe you are correct in the Okie use of the term 'cache'. However, I believe it may have come up in the ATF info I read, IIRC. ;

Also, most certainly some might not be registered. And some might, ya know, have serial numbers that appear to have been....altered.

AND, O/T- but I am concerned about your Walmart addiction.

Oriah, I can't find the full article. It seems all the links go to NewsOk, which are pay-to-view. I borrowed this from another source;

One family friend questioned by investigators stayed with the Jamisons
in Eufaula until being asked to leave at gunpoint."He had the barrel stuck in his ear by Sherilyn,” Beauchamp said. "At
first you think, ‘Great, here’s someone with a motive.’ But the FBI
cleared him.”A man who lived a quarter mile from where the pickup was found is the
last known person to see the family as they ventured up the mountain.

If in fact true that this event occured, I wonder which ear she stuck the barrel in and if she was facing him , standing behind him, or next to him? :waitasec:
