O/T But wouldn't it be nice if whoever has the answers to the Jamisons disappearance would just....say so?

Unless perhaps the only people that have those answers are all dead. :waitasec:

If only dogs could talk!!

These are the theories that make the most sense to me:

1. Mental breakdown (murder/suicide)
2. Drug deal gone wrong
3. Ran into unknown unsavory characters on their way down the mountain

The way their truck was facing when found bothers me a lot. In the photo, there isn't much ground by the driver's door to even stand on when exiting the vehicle. How far of a drop was there, does anyone know? Bobby would have had to get out on the passenger side, or be very, very careful when getting out.
It's an obvious statement, but if someone drove up as they came down, they would have been totally trapped. Were there no reports of tire tracks found?

I would also think that if foul play was involved, the bad guys would have searched the truck for money/valuables (especially under the driver's seat)...unless they weren't very bright. Bright enough to hide the Jamisons from us for a year, though (or else just lucky).

I wish so much that we knew what was in the briefcase. Arrgh!!

keeping up with.....Le Flore County OK!
Oklahoma deer hunter found dead in tree stand
GLENDALE — LeFlore County authorities are investigating the death of a deer hunter who was found in a tree stand near Glendale in southeastern Oklahoma.
---
Undersheriff Donnie Edwards told KHOG-TV that initially police thought the 46-year-old man, who was discovered on Saturday, may have died from natural causes. But Edwards says the state Medical Examiner's Office determined that the man had a gunshot wound below his waist, and the bullet was lodged in his neck.

Edwards says it appears the man dropped his gun and it fired up at him. The gun was found at the base of the tree.

Um, okay, sure, guy dropped gun and it fired up at him. After the "natural causes" theory didn't wash.

Only God Knows What This One Might Have Been About
Texas officer killed in Oklahoma traffic wreck

A Texas law enforcement officer was killed Tuesday in McIntosh County after a car slammed into an unoccupied vehicle, pinning the officer against a guardrail, officials report.
Patrick Sirois, a 50-year-old off-duty officer from Killeen, Texas, was transported from U.S. 69 north of Eufaula to Eufaula Hospital about 7:50 p.m. where he was pronounced dead, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers report.
No one else was injured after a 2004 Ford Taurus driven by 17-year-old Beonce Hobson, of Checotah, struck a 2004 Ford F-250 pickup that was not operating and partially in the roadway, according to the report.
The wreck caused the pickup to pin Sirois, who was wearing a reflective traffic vest with a badge and firearm visible at the time of the wreck, troopers report.
The cause of the collision was listed as "unsafe speed for traffic conditions," according to the report.
Jeffrey Ray Sullivan, a 25 year old from Muskogee, was a passenger in Hobson's vehicle, and James Snowden Jr., 28 of McAlester, was apparently with Sirois at time of the wreck.

Well Happy Turkey Day to all of you.

It would be great if sometime before yesterday Madyson's where abouts would be revealed. Somewhere she's out there. Alive or not. I never dreamed they would not find anyone of them for this long.

Yep, happy Thanksgiving (or a melancholy one, for that matter) from Oklahoma where, in the last 18 hours, I've seen rain, lightning, high winds, tornado watches, flash flood warnings, and thunder ranging in velocity from "sixty-pound mortar lobbed into a paint factory, causing repeated explosions," to "sound your head would make at the bottom of Niagra Falls if it were continually being dashed against the rocks by a hurricane," plus a "wintry mix" with sleet and a snow flurry or two; high yesterday afternoon: 77, temperature earlier this morning: 24. Right now it's mostly sunny and 36.

Does anyone happen to know when the next search is scheduled? We have had a good killing freeze and the leaves are coming down fast. The snakes should be in for the winter or close to the den.We really havn"t had much rain and it shouldn"t be too hard to get around.

C-Bar, Oriah would be able to answer your question about the search.

Are you from the area where the Jamisons truck was found?

Ditto. It was in the "demons" article.

I know these are real people, but I love this case. It has a lil bit of everything, including intrique, plus it's unsolved. I can't wait for the headlines "Web Sleuthing SAR Team Solves the Mysterious Jamisons Case". :D

That'll happen...as soon as "Websleuthing SAR Team" gets some cooperation from, ummm.......family and friends and LE. KWIM? Personally I think there are quite a few scenarios we can knock off our list, but that's JMOHO of course.

It would be tremendously helpful for us from a SAR perspective if we could collect 'data' (and I use that term loosely, because 'factual' is even more absurd in this case) to actually have 1st hand info from friends and family who were closely involved with the Jamison's at the time of their disappearance and the years prior to.

At any rate, rest assured that when I disappear for a few days I am a busy little bee checking out all sorts of info, and background checking like a mad person. ;)

Please prepare yourselves for a huge Oriah-info-dump next week.

Hope ya'll had a great Thanksgiving!

Saw this posted on the Jamison FB page:

JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH THE PRODUCER OF 'DISAPPEARED'- SHE SAID THAT THE OFFICIAL AIR DATE THAT IS SET IN STONE FOR THE EPISODE ON THE JAMISONS WILL BE DECEMBER 6, 2010 @ 9 PM CST ON DISCOVERY ID CHANNEL.

Investigation Discovery (ID) channel trailer

(chopped off at the end)

This trailer has some actual Jamison photos (nothing new, I don't think) and some dramatization. If that's really Sheriff Beauchamp, wow, I had a completely different image in my mind.

Hope it makes it way to youtube!

Oh my, I look like hell. I know they say cameras add 20 lbs. but I think it all managed to show on my face. YIKES. My husband didn't even recognize me. Not real thrilled with only having Bobby and Sherilyn in the picture..What about MADYSON the INNOCENT child that some how got caught up in this mess.

They showed Madyson on the poster, and the infamous photo in front of the rock.

I'd forgotten that there were footprints to and from the truck to the rock.

FB seems to be all excited about secret news that can't be announced yet.

Thanks for posting this.

From looking at the trailer, the sandy looking lane in the woods where they showed the truck parked looked so different from what I remember at the first where they showed a big wide open area where the search was going on. I thought it was a wide clay road. Maybe it's the camera angle?

Also, it looked like Madison was sitting in the front seat. Is that where the car seat was?

I remembered someone posted that there was a dropoff near the driver's door and it would have been dangerous, so Bobby would have had to get out on the passenger side. I don't know why, but I thought the truck was across from the "open area" of the wells. So there was a narrow road plus the open area. But take that with a grain of salt because the trailer looks more like the former, LOL. And remember, the tire tracks looked like the truck went foreward and then back (or vice versa).

It will be fascinating to see the dramatizations. Plus, I don't know if the interview with Starlet is new (and it was chopped off), and I don't know who else will have interviews, new or old.

Are we sure that Bobby was driving? (an aside)

Ditto, and I meant to say that, mtrooper. At first, I thought you were the Sheriff (and I was  ) until I got to the part about "my husband". :)
