Curiouscat, thank you for all your thoughts and posts on the missing Jamison family.
Personally, someone needs to contact LE somewhere out of Oklahoma. Maybe the Dept. of Justice or the United States Attorney General.
I've read so much about Oklahoma in the past few years and....well...

MY POST
************
Well, I've looked around OK and answered some of my own (and other's) questions in regards to what is going on and who to (or in this case who not to) contact to get assistance. After all my digging, honestly, I'm still not sure of the "proper route". There was a lot of rubbish (listed only to save others time)..and a few gems (listed below as possibles).
Because - RUBBISH:
* The LE Sheriff's Office looks to be pointless
* The OSBI look pointless
------
ON THE PLUS SIDE:
-------
I found a couple promising leads regarding who to contact to get something going or someone to look at why things aren't going. I'm putting this out there in case I fall off the grid or whatever, so someone else has it and the thoughts behind it:
Possible GEMS:
* The Open Records Act, which states that the investigative records should be obtainable. (13)
* The Oklahoma State Attorney General's Office (although I remain skeptical)---Municipal League, for internal investigation. (14)
* The OFI as cited above in the quote by Oriah looks good too! Thanks Oriah!
I also came up with the possibility of finding a Criminal Analyst, as they review statistics, but are also quite capable of reviewing cold cases and making recommendations to law enforcement/Investigators as to "Reviving a Cold Case"(1). They seem to have a broader scope of research, and there is a very good document titled, "Reviving the Cold Case", aimed at Criminal Analysts and their efforts, but I think valuable to anyone dealing with a cold case. Also I turned up one that runs a crime blog (did not contact yet) and one that is listed at OKU (not yet contacted). (1)
Plus they've done good work, caught criminals -bank robbers, and even were the beginning of what is now a tracking of Hwy Serial Killings in the U.S.
Unfortunately OSBI does not have a functioning Criminal Analyst "Fusion" Department.
I thought I would see what kind of feedback/opinions as to the next step, I received on WS's before I actually make contact, just for curiosity sake.

WHAT IS WRONG WHERE - INFO/HELP DEAD ENDS:
--------------------------------
A) The OBSI seems to be in the process of setting up a Criminal Analyst Unit, one does not currently exist, if their own website is any indication. Therefore, they currently lack this expertise. (Poo-poo on them, but thumbs up for getting one in gear --one of these days!!)
"The OSBI operates a Criminal Intelligence Unit, in which the Oklahoma State Fusion Center is currently being developed. *This unit will house criminal analysts whose primary function will be to process criminal and other intelligence with the mission of providing assistance in investigations and information in the prevention of criminal acts. *An intricate portion of the Fusion Center is the Crime Analysts Unit which contains the Oklahoma State Clearinghouse for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children" (6)
B) The OSBI does not even list the Jamison Family under their "Unsolved Cases Page AT ALL
C) The OSBI has both adult Jamisons (bobby and Shirelynn) are listed under the OSBI "Missing Person" page (5)
D) The OSBI has Madyson ONLY listed under their "Missing Children & Adults Page" (3), which is a redirect link to the Missing Children Website (4),
E) The Missing Kids Website shows pictures of the entire Jamison Family, but VERY BasIc Information on the Jamisons. There is nothing about their disability status or any bipolar disorder, BUT it does show two -2- photos of Madyson, HOWEVER in BOTH photos Madyson is blonde, and there is NO MENTION of Madyson being a natural brunette *rolls eyes*
F) I went on the AG's website and found that useless (IMHO)! They don't seem to be at all interested in internal affairs monitoring.
G) I went on the DOJ's website (7), (8) and did my best to figure out which/who to contact..*laughs hard* Any opinions anyone?? I think (8)/(9), may be the right move. Probably why there's been a history of corruption in the Sheriff's office. (12)
H) As far as the local LE Sheriff of Latimer County, the Sheriff is now Robert Brooks, there are 20 ppl on staff. If the structure of it is any indication there's no wonder that nothing has been done on the Jamison Family Case. Especially with ONLY 1 INVESTIGATOR!!* Also, the Sheriff seems more interested in his loose cattle and cattle database, along with his new sets of grant supplied sunglasses with built-in video cameras. I guess there is a high demand for loose cattle video!! On the up side, their site does provide contact emails for various staff, including the Sheriff who even has his cell listed --paint me floored-- (11).
1 Under Sheriff
1 Captain
2 Deputies
1 Reserve Captain
1 Jail Admin.
1 Reserve Lieutenant
1 Investigator (Bill Brown)*
2 Deputy Detention Officers
1 Courthouse Security
3 Reserve Deputy
5 Detention Deputy
1 Secretary
Note from Sheriff Robert Brook:
'If you have any questions, comments, or concerns stop by the office to see me, call me on my cell phone at (really did list a number), or send an e-mail to (had his email listed on site).' (11)
I) And if you want a good laugh you can go to the OK Sheriff's Association to appoint representatives to sit on various grant boards and oversight boards. --oddly enough they don't even oversee themselves!*

"* Municipalities and Town Governments
Are there state agencies to ensure that cities are operating within statutory requirements?
There are many state and local agencies that have statutory authority to investigate or audit allegations of wrongdoing within a municipality or township. If you have questions regarding the statutory operation of a municipality or township or you are wanting information concerning city ordinances, you should contact the Oklahoma Municipal League at the following address: 201 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73105.
