Yes, school is held, there are classes.

But, in my experience, after elem school programs or special events, you will see a long line at the office of moms and dads "checking their kid out" of school for the day. In our school system, roll is called before any event.
Then, after the event, if you want to bring your child home, you have to sign a "check out" sheet. Some parents forget and have to be called after the roll is called again when class resumes. Just to make sure the parents have the child.

This was not that way at this school, but I'm sure a lot of kids leave with their parents after special events or programs.

Same here. I've done it, but I have to go to the office to officially sign her (my daughter) out for the rest of the day. Kyron's school apparently does not have that policy. I bet they will by tomorrow, though.

I've never seen one in a church before.....

1:29 p.m. -- Neighbors stop by the former Brookshill Free Methodist church across the street from the school to mull over the investigation. "This kind of thing is unheard of," says Jim Kelley, 50.

It must be being used as a staging area for parents media because of the rain and away from the school. JMO It was a former church.

Their mikes are on and they don't know it. They were just talking about Terri and her saying that she would explain everything later, that the media reports are wrong.

Very interesting. Now I hear laughter :(

No one at the school looked for him, they did not know he was missing until the step mom called the school when he did not get off of the bus.

Makes me wonder about the group of 5 he was supposed to be part of that was supposed to tour other projects. Who led the groups of 5, students, parents, or teachers and seeing he wasn't reported missing early, that is an important question, at least to me. moo

Kyron left his backpack and jacket in his classroom - yet he wasn't there - apparently noone noticed him missing. How about the talent show - if he was in it, why wasn't he missed? Certainly not casting blame because I'm sure the teachers are downright sick about all this - the day was very busy, but there are many questions for all. m00

IMO if this wasn't the work of a family member, or roaming away and getting lost/hurt - the community has a bold, defiant, and desperate child predator on their hands. moo

I believe that is the church that is directly across Skyline Blvd. from the school. I drove through the area yesterday and it is very rural. Not many houses, just farmland and some barns, etc. Where the school is located, there is a very small historic church across the street where many searchers vehicles were parked. Right next door to the school, on the same side of Skyline, is Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue - their parking lot was also full of vehicles.

They said that she wants to tell her side of the story.

I just find it disgusting how they are joking and laughing with their mikes on.

I was going to ask, do they not KNOW that their mikes are on... or do they not CARE...and do they know this is already being streamed live???

I mean I know I have a weird sense of humor... but I'm not seeing what is so hilarious here. :waitasec:

I always hate the before pressor laughter.
Happens a lot and makes me sad too.

I believe that LE (police) have asked the parents to refrain from speaking to the media. They did the same thing in Nadia's case and Zoey (who was missing in OR).

I heard one of the guys say none of the mikes were on.

I also heard someone say a cuss word. :innocent:

This Sheriff is the first guy I have seen at a press conference truly appear serious and sincere.

Very refreshing.

Have been able to "fill in the gaps in the timeline..."

If any reporters ever read here,I hope they know the public is watching before the live pressers come on.I am constantly hearing laughing and seeing them walk around smiling, how cold. This is a missing child, they could at least be quiet.

Sheriff: Shut down a lot of avenues that needed to be closed and narrowed the focus. Brought it down to a very narrow focus. Believes by 6pm they will have it down to a very narrow point.

They HAVE collected the pictures taken Friday at the school.

  • #218
So,she dropped him off without taking him into his class and it was around a door where she left him?I don't guess the school has cameras.

  • #219
No suspects, just compiling the information and "list of names." After 6pm they will debrief and discuss which direction it needs to go.

  • #220
Does anyone know if school will still be in session on Monday is Kyron is still missing?
