BURNS—Critics of Ammon Bundy and his followers occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge have launched a protest designed to line the pocketbooks of Bundy's opponents.

The campaign, founded by a pair of brothers from Oregon, is known as G.O.H.O.M.E, an acronym that stands for Getting the Occupiers of Historic Oregon Malheur Evicted.

Brothers Zach and Jake Klonoski launched the fundraiser Sunday. They hope to convince Bundy and crew to leave by collecting money for groups whose mission is antithetical to the occupiers' beliefs. Recipients of the donations include a gun control campaign, a group that supports the wildlife refuge the occupiers want to privatize, an organization that has labeled Bundy and company as extremists, and the Native American tribe whose members claim the refuge as their ancestral land.

The fundraising campaign will continue as long as the occupation does.

It'll be good for the organizations who get the money, but I don't think it will have an effect on the squatters. It will only fuel their hate.

Militant Cited For Driving Without License After Van Overturns
by John Sepulvado and Amelia Templeton OPB | Jan. 17, 2016 11:45 a.m.

http://www.opb.org/news/series/burn...s/militant-van-cited-driving-without-license/

At about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Oregon State Police found a white Ford Van on its side, 150 feet off the roadway in Hines, Oregon, a small community next to Burns.

According to the incident report, troopers found 57-year-old Darrow Burke inside the van. He went too fast around a 25 MPH corner and flipped the van on the icy roads. The crash destroyed a barbed wire fence.

He had been at the refuge, he is from Ukiah, California.

So did the troopers help him out of the van?

If so, I wish they had left his sorry butt there since he hates government so much.

A good article:

Feds face harassment from extremists related to Oregon takeover
Federal Diary

Washington Post

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...t-from-extremists-related-to-oregon-takeover/

“As scandalous as it is that federal employees have been kept from their workplaces because armed intruders have taken over the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon, now those staffers are being warned they might be victimized by “paper terrorism.”

An email sent to agency leaders Friday warned that self-appointed judges associated with the right wing sovereign citizen movement might “try to try to issue indictments, serve papers, or arrest local officials and/or federal employees.” Those papers would have no legal authority, but would serve to bully workers.”

For once I see the danger of gubmint interference.

And yet...... Not shot dead like people who have committed far less serious crimes....and those who committed no crime at all other than not kiss the policeman's azz.

I wish I knew what the difference was.....I just can't put my finger on it.....

Why are they allowed to get away with this behavior? Why are government employees forced to deal with this harassment and intimidation? This is beyond any elephants. I can't believe how long this has gone on and how much leeway they've been given and how it looks like there's no end in sight. Is anyone going to stand up to them or have they won?

“In addition, self-identified militia members have tried to engage employees and family members in debates about their status as federal employees. Many of these confrontations are taking place as our employees are grocery shopping, running errands with their families and trying to lead their day-to day lives. While not direct physical threats, these activities are clearly designed to intimidate.”

Well, maybe that's our government for ya! Maybe complaints from the left will soon equal the complaints from the far right!

Respectfully, that's a total non sequitar.

I don't see any complaints from the far right. I see felons breaking the law. Rhymes-with-mugs. Bullies. Hypocrites who grift and take gubmint hand outs but declare themselves not a part of this gunmint.

What a bunch of dipsheets. They deserve to be in jail like any other law breakers.

Not until people on the left start falling for conspiracy theories.

Not until people left start falling for conspiracy theories.

Well, first you would have to remove all ability to reason and empathize, then add skewed idealogy and butt-hurtedness, and finally a sense of entitlement simply by virtue of skin color. Then the left might behave like these nuts.

Respectfully, LOL!

Pretty spot-on, IMO.

Lol. I love a good conspiracy theory. So deal me in. Lol.

But in all honesty. I think that Kanye West was originally involved with the takeover to help hide his intent to disrupt the Good Americans. Lol

Just kidding and just simply saying hello to the thread. So please don't mind me.
