My request was a bit abrupt, wasn't it? Apologies. I asked for the link because G.bng said that Oscar had seen Reeva moments before. This was not my understanding of the facts. I can not give an opinion on his post if we do not have the same facts. So I was asking for a link. I respect G.bng and I think his point may be important, but I can not comment on it if we do not have the same information.

Back to your post.

If you want my honest opinion (and it is pure speculation) I agree with you. His actions and words are not logical. But I do not think that it's because of some cognitive impairment, quite the opposite. He thinks too much.

It is my opinion that he's hiding certain things that happened that night. And to cover the gaps in his version he twists the truth. But this creates new holes. He's had a year to think about this but since the trial started new and unexpected holes appeared and he's had to do some tap dancing to fill those gaps.

I quite agree. He's had a year to rehearse the main narrative but when questioned, out of sequence might I add, it trips him up and he realises (sometimes mid-sentence) that he needs to lie to cover up lies that don't quite ring true so it becomes an illogical mess. The duvet debacle really is a perfect example of this.

If one looks at the defence direct of Oscar Pistorius in comparison - it is day to night - because Oscar was questioned in sequence, allowed to set the pace of such questioning, and wasn't pushed for details or harangued for inconsistencies. Oscar was able to logically and coherently tell his 'version' from start to finish. Its only on cross he stops making any sense at all.

Please pardon errors as posted via Tapatalk with a less than stellar user.

Your thinking Reeva got up and went to the toilet cubicle, left the toilet cubicle to open the window and then went back to the toilet cubicle and locked the door? All this time she never uttered a single word, flushed, washed her hands or turned on a light?

At roughly the same time her partner with no feet was walking backwards, moving fans, moving jeans, picking up his gun, opening doors, vaulting over the bed, screaming like a woman, shouting for help, lifting a cricket bat, talking in a low tone and firing his gun four times. Not only was he doing these things he was doing some of these things with a loaded gun in his hand and in total darkness. In no particular order by the way.

I honestly think your at the wind up.

I bet if one of the witnesses said they heard what sounded like an elephant, OP would have said he was playing the trumpet.

Well if OP is to be believed Reeva was probably silent because she was trying to work out who the woman was that was screaming in the house !
Totally unbelievable :floorlaugh:

So I will take a late nap on Sunday, so at midnight I can be awake to listen to the trial resume. It starts again Monday morning, right?

I wonder who the next witness will be? I think they will want to attack the pictures in evidence and show they were 'tampered' with. I wonder who they have on deck for that?

And I imagine they are going to have some of the neighbors who did not hear screaming testify as well.

I can't wait for that to happen because I can't get my head around what they intend to try.
On the one hand they want witnesses to deny hearing any woman screaming but likewise they need witnesses to be able to say they heard OP screaming, albeit in a woman's voice!
Bit tricky that one

Oscar never told the intruder that he (Oscar) had a gun. He never said: "Stay where you are or I'll shoot." Nope. Oscar screamed at the intruder to get out of the house. He literally told the intruder to get out. How could the sound of the toilet door opening be perceived as an act of aggression by the intruder?

Edit: I meant to ask: How could Oscar not tell someone he had a gun, tell that someone to get out and then think the opening door is an act of aggression?

Nel asked OP how he expected the intruder to obey him and get out if not via the WC door, and he answered - through the toilet window. Sounds like more evidence of "thinking" that OP claims he was incapable of at the time.

Unfortunately it is a bank holiday here in the UK on monday, so I will probably be out and about somewhere and will miss it!

so...OP is a victim of circumstance....and his whole defense in this mind boggling murder is that he kept his back to the bed at all times...until he entered the passageway....??mighty convenient don't cha think ?

Now I see why OP claimed he got his gun from "under" the gun, rather than its normal spot on the bedside table. He needed to be low enough to fail to see Reeva or speak to her face to face.

Midnight!!! You poor thing. In the land of Oz we're frequently at a time disadvantage for big events but for us this trial starts at 5.30pm. :)

Yes, there's something very believable to me about the Stipps - I trust what they have testified. It's so odd that he would refute the light, but I guess he has to? You'd think he would at least say he didn't remember when he turned it on, or something.

Yes, the Stipps, Dr Stipp in particular is OP's Achilles' Heel. <modsnip>

Yes, and I think he realised his mistake when he said it too, because he had claimed that his perceived intruder must've used the ladder to get in through the bathroom window .. and so, if it was propped up at the bathroom window, then how the heck would an intruder have been able to get out of the toilet window without that ladder (and the ladder couldn't have been in two places at once). I can't remember if Nel actually quizzed him on that specific thing (i.e. how the heck did OP expect an intruder to get out of the toilet window) .. I'll have to see if I can find it.

It's on the Vodacom records from Oscar's phone. But at this time we do not know what was said during this conversation.

I wondered about the same thing. If OP had asked for an ambulance, why did Dr. Stipp have to call again?

So 3:20 05 OP takes action to help Reeva by making a call, huh? I guess that is where the DT and OP get that OP held Reeva in his arms and cried for 5 minutes (calls to security began at 3:15-3:16). Geez he was able to run around the bedroom searching for Reeva and back with the bat and broke through the WC door incredibly, extremely, fast; almost like Superman!

Thinking about what defense-helpful witnesses Roux might call next and would appreciate hearing others' thoughts. I'm still shell-shocked that Roux followed OP with Roger Dixon. What defense case holes are remotely pluggable and still in dispute?

I have considered the possibility that OP could have had some brain damage from the boat accident. It was a severe accident and he did have major skull and facial injuries, according to what I have read. I have nothing to back this up, except the strangely contradictory and self-implicating statements he has made, along with the denials.

RSBM

I haven't read anywhere that he had any skull injuries, just facial. In this article the doctor said his brain was functioning normally. Do you have a link?

The doctors at the Millpark Hospital were busy mending a number of facial fractures, especially around Pistorius's jaw and nose. According to Pistorius's *manager, Peet van Zyl, they were pleased with the results.

[...]

The Millpark principal medical officer, Anchen Laubscher, said of Pistorius: "He is fine. Everything can be repaired surgically. His brain is functioning normally. He will soon be discharged and taken home to make a full recovery."

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/oscar-pistorius-murder-trial-bad-south-africas-image-1446629

But the fact the country's tourism chief is fighting a PR war to protect the image of South Africa is probably revealing itself. It suggests that Pistorius is making the journey from being a golden boy of corporate sponsors to potentially being PR poison for an entire nation.
Any doubt he'll leave SA asap if he avoids prison? The loss of public adulation must be excruciatingly painful for him. At least I hope it is and will remain so the rest of his life.

I wondered about the same thing. If OP had asked for an ambulance, why did Dr. Stipp have to call again?

At 3.20am he called private ambulance service Netcare 911 and although he did not remember speaking to the operator, he remembered being told to take "Reeva to the hospital" and not wait.

http://www.timeslive.co.za/local/2014/04/09/the-oscar-pistorius-murder-trial-day-19

But as I said in an earlier post, it's unimaginable that they would have told him to bring her in if he'd told them that she had 3 gunshot wounds and one of those was to the head. It defies belief that they wouldn't have sent an ambulance. It will be interesting to see if the DT call their Netcare witness and hear what they put in their records.

Can anyone recall what time the ambulance/paramedics arrived after Dr Stipp spoke to them and described RS injuries.

i missed that little nugget. He actually seriously said he expected the 'intruder' to exit via the second floor toilet window?

What a chump.

I think that is what lies behind OP's disgraceful and pathetic attempt to suggest that Dr Stipp didn't know what he was doing when he came to the house. Trying to discredit the man. Yet another indication if how deeply unpleasant OP is in my view.
