P.I. Says He Videotaped Area Where Caylee Was Later Found #2

Just doing a crude measurement using map.live.com Birdseye view it measures out to be approx 12.5 yards or 37.5 feet. Anybody with a more detailed map??? One thing to consider in most of the photos we've seen of the crime scene and it's relationship to the road is the focal length of the lens used. If they are using a telephoto setting, it can make depth look scrunched closer together. Man, I wish I could explain that better.

I think the county GIS map will give a more accurate measurement. However, there website seems to be down. I do have a parcel number where the body was located to make easier once it is up an running again.

My mind is racing about this...I think Hoover is co-operating with police....I think this because he isn't returning DC's calls, so presumably is no longer in the A's camp...so, why has he left the camp?

Didn't finish reading the rest of the thread but isn't it only DC that JB is asking for the "special master" motion? The judge said JB would have to appear in court to decide. JH isn't being mentioned by JB at all.:waitasec:

Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, is concerned investigators may want to question the private investigator he hired in July.

Dominic Casey was hired to look for Caylee Anthony after her mother, Casey, was first arrested. He was terminated in October.

Baez said during his time working the case, the investigator acquired privileged information, and Baez said someone needs to oversee any questioning.

JB is freaking out because of what DC knows & he already knew JH was cooperating with LE. OH OHHH!! DC & JB are in deep trouble and are going to try and discredit JH. MOO

Does anyone know or remember if it was said who was responsible for putting up the fence that was around the area the PI's were filming/Caylee's body was found. There was the comment by TM that the area could not be searched as well as they would have liked due to high water when they first went there and when they came back in November it had been fenced off and they could not get permission to search.
I am remembering this correctly?

I am very interested in why a fence was put up, who had it done and when this was done.

ok I went back and looked at the NG for the first couple nights the time when the bag was first found.....did not see Tim say anything about a fence.....then I thought....could have been someone doing there own search of that area....but I really think it was brought up around the same time as when Tim was talking about it being under water......sorry I couldnt help more....if I run into it....I will post it

Sorry late to respond...been under the weather a bit! You are correct it was Kio & behind the school it was posted by me somewhere. Another poster confirmed this to NOT the same area that Kio was pointing out. So what were they doing on Suburban? Monday will be very interesting it'll be the a battle of words between the PI's, JB motions, the A's asking for immunity. Next week will be a 4-ring bizzare circus event of many things exploding.

Yep! Monday will be an interesting day/week with the press conference from JH. Who knows what JB has in store besides his motion?
A's immunity filed by BC.....doc dump(thinking might be around the corner maybe???) etc. etc.

I find it interesting that the meter reader, the PI's, & a psychic all came to the same spot looking for Caylee. Hmmm... Others also have claimed to be there but not validated. Was there a secret tip everyone had gotten? I am not insinuating the MR etc...are quilty of something.

I rememeber reading when TES was leaving I think the first time, they took dogs to an area close to the A's (end of the street I believe it was reported). Everyone wanted them to check their backyard too. Never heard anything else.

Not trying to nitpick, but it's important to point out that the MR did not go to the area "to look" for Caylee. He saw something odd on his normal route. His eyes may have been sharpened because he knew there was a missing girl in the area. So while his story is a tadbit strange, to me he doesn't fit in with any coincidence.

No it's not crazy. It would be natural for him to tell someone else.. discuss it with someone else.. especially since he was very unsure of himself during that first call.

DH went to the site last week and said you would be surprised at how small and close to the road the whole area where they found her really is.

Here's his example of it.

Step out your front door. Walk 15 feet. That is the front of the grid, closest to the road. 2 or 3 ft. in from that is where she was. 15 ft. past that would be the back line of the grid. Look to your left 15 ft. and that is the far left side of the grid, then look to your right 15 ft. and that is the far right side of the grid.

So the whole search grid is 30 ft. wide and 15 ft. deep, 15 ft. off the road.

*disclaimer* Yes, you can call me crazy for what I am about to say... but it is the only thing that makes sense to me, with this issue.

I'm starting to believe that JH is not even a real PI... that him and his wife were out to make a buck and somehow was able to insert their selves into the Anthony world. I don't think Baez is connected to JH... that DC is the only PI he has used... and while DC does seem shady, those images we have seen with him and JH can be interpreted in various ways and doesn't conclusively show that DC and JH were working together. I think JH, in his faux PI hat, is the one that fueled the Anthony's into believing Caylee was still alive and Casey was telling the truth, to stay in their good graces and wallet... but JH saw the money belt close up on him with the discovery of Caylee's body. To save face and keep leverage in the case through the Anthony's, JH set out to create questions around the finding of Caylee... the wife came up with some questionable pictures, and JH came up with his supposed video... and when no one would buy the BS, he turned to LP, and LP ran with it, putting his own embellishments on things.

I could be wrong, I'll admit that... and all that I have said is opinion and speculation... but after cutting all of the fat away from things, it is the only explanation that makes sense to me. I think JH's press conference Monday is being done by his own accord... he's a drowning man reaching for the last gasp of air as the tide comes in on his scheme, exposing him for what he is: a nasty little crafty opportunist.

It's also possible that the county could have put the fence up if it is a thoroughfare where the fence would line the main road. The fence looks to me like something the city would have put up to keep the elementary kids and/or homeless people from going off the road into those wooded areas.

Ouch! I've had my neck lock up a few times too....not fun and hope it is improving and all better soon.

I'm glad you also seem to be of the view JH is co-operating with LE. I also assume JB can't include him in his motion, assuming he really didn't work for DC or JB.

I am sooo looking forward to finding out more about this video tape and the circumstances that made it come about!
