Oh I forgot he said he went there to prove it was a teen hangout...right??

BS

Why won't he talk to LE now instead of waiting until Caylee is buried, I mean as far as I know there are no plans as of yet, so why wait, just talk to LE now. MOO

Casey didn't videotape anything, nor did he make any claims that he videotaped anything.

I don't want to attribute motives to the PI that he might not have had, but this is a truly excellent point. What would be inappropriate about taking pictures of a supposed hangout on an empty lot if it wasn't already known to be or suspected to be a burial ground? Would an investigator really go out there merely to take photos or video to show -- what? That there were no beer bottles, trash, etc. there, to impeach Kio's testimony? Or to show there were such things to prove it WAS a teen hangout? What's the point? You don't have to be a whacked out conspiracy theorist to at least wonder why there was all this interest before the remains were found in the area where they ultimately were found? And why come forward about past acts now? Why did 2 men who are unrelated and don't work together, per DC, just fortuitously show up at this same place to take photos/video on the same day at the same time?

So true, if anyone in here is a mathmetician, what are the odds?? 1 in say a million that both of them are there the same day?? Hopefully the jurors will keep their eye on the prize (some prize :banghead:) and not play into all the smoke and mirrors of this circus. Caylee is gone forever.

I believe him - people forget that when this is all over, guys like Casey have to continue their careers - Casey wouldn't jeopadize that career by not calling and reporting a found body. He'd lose his license.

He could also gain a career's worth of work from JB for his discretion. Have you ever heard of Pellicano...he's a California PI doing some serious time for breaking the law for his clients. It happens.

Yet he was fully aware a videotape was being made after he supposedly told JH it was "inappropriate", correct?

Casey didn't videotape anything, nor did he make any claims that he videotaped anything.

From what I've seen, he has at least admitted to photographing the area.

Sometimes I have to sit and think a couple of days before posting. After giving this much thought, the PI's had the info from the MR tips phoned in.
It was obvious to them, sadly not to LE though. If we had access to the tips that were called in, so did they. JB wouldn't have even had to go down to the courthouse and pay the $900. for the DV to get them, all they had to do is come in here or go online and read the tips called in.

I have been alittle harsh on LE and TM, but I think given what we know, it's warranted. Sorry, I'll take the flack, they were amiss on alot of things. :waitasec:

Well, if true, these PI's did not find the remains, with the same tip information.

Actually, I had the same thought two days ago. They acted as vigilantes (DC anyway). But they didn't come away with a discovery... unless we believe what LP is saying and DC said "we found her, we're gonna go get her" but he never did. ???

So what is wrong with photographing an area? I would imagine that Casey has taken photographs of just about all the areas mentioned in this case. I'm sure he's taken photos of Fusian, of AL's apt, "Zani's" apt, Blanchard Park, every room in the Anthonys' house, has or has tried to get statements from every single person whose name was mentioned regarding this case and has talked to most of their neighbors. The reason they do this is because it is their job to do this. No attorney wants to be surprised with evidence he hasn't seen and every defense attorney will make an effort to get a statement from a potential witness to prepare a line of questioning.

You know, this is exactly why I despise the rumour mongerers and gossips who throw out ungrounded allegations and accusations against people who are doing their jobs. When you do something like that in a public venue, you are ruining careers and curtailing people from making their living. It is wrong, it is unethical and it is immoral to make public allegations for which you have no proof.

Casey however was not working for JB in any capacity at the time though, if I understand correctly. He was working for the Anthony family reportedly following up on leads to live sightings. Big difference.

ITA His whole explanation doesn't make sense to me:

(1) His reason for going was to verify it was a teen hang-out. Why would he need to verify that ? How would that fact impact anything ? :waitasec:

(2) He said he would verify the teen hang-out story by looking for beer cans, etc. OK......but why would he need two days (15th and 16th) to do that ? :waitasec:

(3) How is Caylee's funeral related to his talking to LE ? Does he believe that what he tells LE is going to result in LE action against the A family ? :waitasec:

I think he went there to look for a body because someone on the defense team acknowledged that Caylee was dead. What would he have done had he found the remains ?

Bet we hear next that the PI has retained an attorney. Will there be any unemployed attorneys in FL by the time this case actually goes to trial ?

I agree - why the delay?! In fact, why hasn't he already talked/explained the facts with LE? If it's on the up and up, why would one delay and cause further confusion, rumors, inconsistencies, etc.?

DC claimed this is the only area he has been that wasn't associated with an Alive Caylee...IIRC. Let me go find that quote.

The meter reader took quite a chance urinating so close to the road, he could have been arrested for indecent exposure. I would like to know why OCSD still says the remains were 50-60 feet off the road, per their link. They need to change the info since it appears they are off by 45 feet?

Bolded by me. ~ Not really, considering that before LE tore the place apart looking for evidence, that the area was covered in marsh grass, palmetto palms, brush, trees, etc... DH could step 3 feet into the preserve behind our home and relieve himself and you wouldn't be able to see him.

As for LE not updating their website, I can't tell you why they haven't. I can only tell what DH saw himself when he went to the site.

I know this is OT why hasn't the second Autopsy been done?

LOL...He wishes. Just not the kind of smoking gun he was hoping for.

Exactly...he's found plenty of time to get himself interviewed by tv reporters, so why not LE?

I read that the remains (bones) were found distributed over an acre of land. That is a way bigger space than you are talking about. Was OCSO wrong about that too?

Was that a direct statement from OCSO or something the media said ? If it's a direct statement from OCSO, can you provide a link please ?

  • #740
It would have come from the media articles. Since I never watched any news programs or press conferences I cannot say if the info originated with OCSO or not. My question about OCSO being wrong again was meant to beg that question.
