It could mean nothing or with some speculation it could mean many things

It's the Roman numeral for 4

Yes i got that, but is it in some way significant of something else perhaps? Like some type of message or other meaning?

Yes, that's what i was wondering too? And i guess all we can do right now is really only speculate until more is known in DJ's case.

I hope we actually get some real answers in this case. Ever since Jimmy Slack's case I have been interested in how/why young men around the same age get tipsy, separated from friends and end up in a body of water in winter.

I haven't followed Jimmy's case, but sounds similar. And i agree i hope there is something somewhere that will in fact determine exactly how such a thing happens to these young men, and gives their families some real answers. They deserve that much at least.
It's all just too coincidental IMO.

I know some of you were talking about Pittsburgh's 3 rivers and wanted to pass on a cool yet odd fact some may not know. The Monongahela River flows North and the Allegheny and Ohio flow South.
I'm not sure if that could affect how the current carries an object floating on the water or trapped beneath the surface but would love to know if anyone has any idea.

We walked Liberty Ave at the same time of night Dakota did. It's your typical city. People out, some sketchy, some not. We didn't see drugs deals on the corners and no one offered their services to us to have a good time. (Dang it! - kidding) I personally wouldn't walk alone at night in any city. I watch too much crime TV. [emoji16]
As for DJ's travels cause someone in an earlier post asked. He and coworkers were at Station Square. That party ended and DJ and 1 coworker went to Market Square to Diamond Market Grill where they had 2 beers each. They walk to Liberty Ave to the 941 Saloon and had 1 beer and one shot each. They traveled 3 to 4 doors up to Images and had 1 beer and 1 shot each. There is a Joe & Pie Pizza in between 941 and Images (someone asked in an earlier post where did the pizza come from). From what I can gather from accounts from that night there was a pizza on a table in Images that belonged to someone else and DJ helped himself to some, which they say is out of his character.

I went into both 941 and Images. 941 not a bad place or so it seems. Images looks like they have all kinds of things happen there. Someone told us drugs and hook-ups were common in there.

Thank you so much. This is a much more realistic view of the city on a weeknight.

Has anyone noticed that next to the xx that make the smiley face, there is a Roman numeral 4 (IV)?

Yes - but doesn't it look like a different writer and different type of paint (drippy and running) - like it was added at a different time?

I noticed that too. Could definitely be a different time/writer or even that the nozzle jammed and the 'artist' made weird marks trying to clear it.
I doubt we will ever know for certain why those markings are there or the meaning behind them. It's certainly something to speculate about though.

It sure would (!) be interesting if someone is in that area to casually start a conversation in some of the business directly around there and ponder about how long surveillance cameras hold video before erasing over !

WIthout sounding like a terrorist please !! It is fair question

Just a notion

I can't help but feel that will not be the case. If a person is dead before being placed in a river and the cause does not change MOD or COD (which ever one indicates murder)

I think its pretty much a losing battle moo

The only hope (like the one other family) is mom is a tough cookie so when they try all this inconclusive stuff in 3 months mom might be resourceful.

There is just no reasonable reason not to expect an accident conclusion in light of history of such proclamations over and over and over

moo

Very helpful narrative TY!

It I were in a small joint and I saw a pizza out I might think bar picked up one for us- a far less "drunk" event than has been portrayed IMO.
