I'm thinking video..I just hope they have this freak...It's so scary to think that he is on the streets and could strike again. I also think this guy has killed before.(of course I don't know who he could have killed before, just a feeling)

She was an angel on earth, now she is an angel in heaven. She does deserve justice!
Glad you are a survivor nurse!

The "no sign of forced entry" never convinces me to eliminate the intruder aspect. Depending on specifics regarding her residence and the experience/skill of who wanted to gain entry, there are plenty of offenders who could enter and not leave behind clear evidence.

My prayers are with her family.

Oh no.

G, I thought maybe a construction worker or something.

How did they find him I wonder? DNA? Video?

Poor, poor woman.

According to that link he was seen on video around the time of the murder. The fire was started to her face and chest, I still think it was to cover up DNA.

You know with him being an exterminator, he could have pretended to sell her his services and attacked her in the basement as he was doing his "inspection".

Local news says he lives w girlfriend, girlfriend mom and KIDS! and they showed his home in levittown, PA. His home is quite a distance away though I imagine he worked in the area of murder. They were led to him by camera at CVS and at a local hospital and the cameras show him following close behind her. After the murder they said his car (work car) can be seen circling the neighborhood several times. He is 37 and is an exterminator. His neighbors say POI is family man. No idea what connection there would be between the two.

That's their man. JMO

Special thanks to our Detectives, Melissa's neighbors and the wonderful businesses that helped share their surveillance.

RIP Doctor. I am so sorry you met such a brutal fate in our city.

G, he's not going anywhere. Now we have to worry about the rest of the freaks.

Family man. Yeah. Supposedly he has no record.

So it sounds like they had someone following her on camera? Even though they were claiming no one was following her? I guess they didn't want to tip off the suspect?

Search warrant on the house on Crescent Lane in Levittown.

Good point, jjenny.

I hope to heck they have their man, and he's not still free. And yeah, if it's him, I'm very curious as to his motive.

Exactly.

Well, if a male who didn't know her was following her, then I think it's rather obvious.
We just have to wait and see.

Aus, my friends niece works close by on South Street she said that one of the shops nearby has excellent surveillance video. Couple that with CVS and others. I would think they have him.

Motive? He lives with his girlfriends mom, his girlfriend and kids in one house and he had to go exterminate? Walking around town following women.

Shocked if none of his neighbors blurted out his name yet.

It's possible he sprayed on her block. Perhaps he has seen Melissa before?

It was a holiday for many on Monday so more people should have been home. I wonder now if neighbors would recognize him?

Can't wait 'till his lawyers march the family members before the cameras to say what a wonderful guy he is. It's almost inevitable.

Filly - good call on him maybe having sprayed her block, or apartment even? He'd know the layout, about the dog..

By motive I mean - why no rape, if he had time to tie her up and take her to the basement, set the fire.. etc. This could help in understanding other similar crimes.

You're right, Joe.

So much promise taken from a lovely person. Like Nurse said the impact will ripple.

Oh Aus it's so tough to even comprehend. I know what you mean though.

The fire could be and I hate to type it is that poor "M" was sexually assaulted without her clothing taken off. I would write it out, but you know what I mean? There may be DNA on the upper part of her body.

Whatever he had to do happened fast. Plus the dog walker? Maybe he heard the guy?

Aus, there's no sense to it. Rage. Mad at someone else. Frustrated. No control at home maybe? That and I think Melissa would identify him.

FWIW and hearsay I do not think the dog walker knew right away Melissa was downstairs.
