Very true! And I dont' mean to be distasteful but at this point.. with how warm it has been here.. if she was in fact out there wouldn't anyone just walking in the vicinity smell it....I've heard there's nothing like it. It's just been a lot warmer temperatures so I'd imagine.. without having any personal knowledge of it..(besides deer season)...that it would be detective to someone walking by...Just a thought. So if they couldn't have all the man hours perhaps bring in a search party and walk it..before all this snow we're supposed to be getting.

Everything that I have heard indicates that the odour is enough of a trigger to get people calling authorities and knowing something is very wrong, even when they don't know what the odour is.

The snow is something that's been playing on my mind too. If Holly is deceased outdoors somewhere, time is running out. Once the snows come, any searches will have to wait until Spring thaws. :(

Is the prayer page asking for help with searches, does anyone know?

I'm going back to the staging scenario again - that the cup, glasses and open back door were staged to disguise the fact that Holly left the house willingly, with someone she knew.

No one who knows them, including the police, are even considering the possibility that she left willingly.
I doubt the police would be using the resources they have been using if there was any chance of that.

Her son has been posting on there about the cops handing out flyers and getting opinions for leads from people. And someone wrote about helicopters being out there and the polive. Her son wrote, "Idk i think they keep hitting dead ends so there just trying more to get leads. honestly idk tho they really don't tell me much but wat they do tell they tell to my grandmother so she tries not to worry me".

At least i think that's her son anyway.

Don't see anything about helping. someone commented how can they get involved in a search I wrote they should call le and ask.

The other thing I find interesting.. is what someone posting in the prayers fb has said on their personal one as well as the prayers...

"Holly...know we are already know that who has taken you. .he knows we know. .that's why he is covering his tracks. ..trust me baby girl, we will find you:)) ...soooo many diversions, your name HOLLY GRIM is known far& wide, im sure he is close by by....."

and the one that is really interesting is "Anybody who knows or seen anything I strongly encourage u to call the police, especially
************* ur friend saw her being dragged across the lawn, why don't u or that person call the police and inform them, how anyone if this happened to them and ppl saw them and nobody reported, my son is best friends with her son, we all need to come together and help find her bring home safe and sound for son..I find it rather ridiculous that all the neighbors around there and nobody has come forward and said nothing. .just think if this was u, what would like ppl to do they saw u being taken against ur will, u would want someone to be ur voice when u couldn't speak..right? I encourage anybody to come forward. ..this person whoever took her from her son is laughing because he didn't get caught..shame on us!!!"

forget how much I am allowed to post or not but that was all public on fb.

just interesting someone closer thinks they is alive and being held against her will and that the **** person knows someone who saw her dragged away....

I don't think Holly went missing voluntarily. I was thinking more of someone Holly knew using deceit to get her out of her home without making any disturbance neighbours might notice. Then staging the signs of a struggle afterwards. But with such a limited amount of time, there would hardly have been time for an abductor to return to the home and arrange things before her mom got there. Not unless she was taken to a nearby home in the park.

It's sad, but sometimes people will post dramatic things on FB and elsewhere when a person goes missing, that aren't correct. And often, people will say they think they have seen the missing person somewhere. If they don't inform LE though, or ever reply to any questions, I think they may not be entirely confident about their information.

Hi Everyone. I just learned about this today. I grew up for the first 20 years of my life about 5-7 minutes from Macungie. I will tell you this. This area has a VERY LOW CRIME rate. I'm not saying a random abduction couldn't happen, though highly unlikely. I have a very close family member who used to work at Allen Organ, granted this was 20+ years ago, but from my knowledge, a standard, assembly line/plant environment. Another aspect of this area is that even though moderately populated, people know people, and tend to be nosey. So for an abduction to occur and no one noticing any yelling/screaming/screeching tires etc I would be shocked. Personally I would look VERY closely at the BF or the fact she ran away willingly.

If you drive 15 minutes east towards Allentown things can get dicey towards Dorney Park...... but I would bet it's someone that knew her or she took off. Just IMO.

I am leaning toward her NOT leaving on her own as well. I don't think it was staged either. I have been wondering from the beginning about this time frame though. I just can't see how all of this could have been done so quickly, especially if she had a chance to make a cup of coffee and have a cigarette. IMO

Her route, to and from work FYI, is FILLED with the middle class/single family home, 2 kids/dog/white picket fence type. AGAIN NOT saying someone scummy couldn't have done it.....just giving you an idea of the landscape. I worked/drove/played as a child/partied as a teenager near all of this and neither myself or anyone I knew ever ran into any type of serious/creepy situations. I would VERY MUCH be looking into her personal life/bf.

I did look up crimes and stats early on, and found very little. I agree it does - or did - seem a safe area with very little trouble. Thanks for the local input!

Welcome to a former local from a current local!

You are right-on about the area. It is relatively low-crime, although there have been a few bank robberies very close, in the last few weeks. There have been car break-ins and some home break-ins. The park where Holly lives is very... rough-looking, but I have not heard that it is particularly dangerous. The surrounding areas are indeed picket-fence middle class neighborhoods, but down-town Allentown has been making a slow creep into the suburbs.

I agree that there seems a good chance it was someone who knows her, and knows her routine.
But everyone has mostly ruled out her bf. He was at work at the time, which I believe has been verified by police.

On the Praying for Holly Grim Facebook page, MRP said 6 detectives were handing out flyers last night (Thursday) at Jordan Lanes (bowling alley).

FYI....

Jordan Lanes (Bowling Alley)
731 Jordan Pkwy
Whitehall, PA

9.7 miles/15 minutes ..... North/East ...from Holly's home...

I am assuming Jordan Lanes is the location of Holly's Thursday Bowling League...

The State Police deserve a huge thank you for how hard they are working this case.
They have had many officers/detectives on this case every day.
With the resources they are putting towards it, I'm sure they have reason to believe that something bad happened.

This is getting harder, as hope is waning for a good outcome.

Thank you for everyone continuing to look for answers.

:grouphug: to you, FindTheWay, and Holly, and her loved ones...:grouphug:

The LE seems to be working very diligently to find Holly...

:please:

FYI...

Faust Auto Parts
683 Grange Road
Allentown, PA

It is right across the street from Holly's mobile home park...

JMO

The road between the park and the junk yard is more of a side-street/alley. It is a dead-end. The junk yard starts within a few yards of the end of the mobile homes.

Holly is very petite. A larger person could probably carry her with ease.

Anyone know if there is (or was recently) anyone living at the home besides Holly, her boyfriend and her son?

Downtown has been creeping in over the last 6-8 years especially.... I definitely agree. Though nothing to the level of a woman having to carry mace on her or anything just to drop her son off at the bus stop. Wonder why there's concentration and mention of Jordan Lanes...hmmmm That's a good 20 minutes into Allentown from Grange. If they've ruled the boyfriend out and she didn't run away on her own, I honestly could not recall ANY random/cold case abduction cases EVER. Look up Matthew Royer's incident back from May. He was last seen in Fogelsville at the Sunoco on 100. It made State and almost national news and here he was to much of a wuss to go home to his parents to tell them he dropped out of college. Let's just hope she got scared of something and is with a friend for the time being.

I have been watching closely to these almost as a hobby since I saw ID disappeared about 3-4 years ago for the first time and have posted here and there on local incidents. THE THING THAT SCARES ME THE MOST.....her size. Majority of women kidnapped are petite, 100lbs soaking wet, short....... easy prey for out of shape scumbags to take. Sad.

Holly was at Jordan Lanes the night before she disappeared, so police were looking for tips from the league regulars who bowl Thursday night.

You are right, abductions are rare, which is likely why it is causing so much fear and is getting so much attention. Also as you mentioned, it is a tight-knit area where everyone knows everyone, people are nosy, and people talk. It is hard to meet anyone that does not already know others that you know. Families seem to stay, and many are related to each other. Since Holly and her family have always lived around here, and Holly is very social, she and her family have many friends, family, and acquaintances.
