I think the part I'm missing is the motive for this crime. What is the motive? Did she owe money? She seems to be a responsible mother and worker....
Did she make someone mad?
Did she have old enemies?
Just can't seem to figure who would have had a reason to take her, much less to harm her.

If LE has a POI in mind... And that person becomes involved in the searches... It would give LE a good chance to keep a close eye on the possible perp's actions/reactions/behavior...

It probably is and also likely the person who set it up didn't realize they have it as unviewable to non members.

Motive. Stalkers don't need motive and not all announce themselves in creepy ways before taking action. Some just watch and look and then decide to abduct which is why she may have not known she had a stalker

It's actually not a facebook page, it's a facebook group. AFAIK groups are not open to the public. Pages are always public. I suggested to our local member earlier that someone should set up a page for Holly. Sadly they haven't done it.

I am really glad they are going to be putting feet on the ground again for Holly. She has to come home, and winter's coming and time is running out.

There are a group of locals in the snowy regions of France, searching EVERY Sunday for a little 5-year-old, called Fiona. They have vowed not to stop until they have found her. They aren't family, as mom and stepdad are in prison and have admitted they buried her - they just won't say where. They are just locals, doing all they can to bring a little one home.

Local searchers can be so, so important when a missing person may be nearby. I am so glad Holly has that support. Thank you, local heroes.

Would it be too much to expect a little sign of support from Holly's workplace too? They have a strong online presence, much of it connected with churches - which in turn have very strong links with congregations willing to actively help. It's sad there is not a single mention of their missing employee on their website, in my opinion.

I am linking this, with trepidation. It is very gothic, and rather outspoken. It contains lots of very good artwork though, and I think it's very popular. And there, looking very out of place, is Holly's missing poster. This person obviously cares about Holly, and is a talented artist. I would ask for their help with missing posters and publicity, if I was Holly's family.

bbm - Yes it's great isn't it? Warms your heart.

They stopped searching today at 1pm as weather was getting worse. They say in the first search 14 people turned up, I don't know about today.

It's great that people are turning out for searches, but there could be more. I hope someone is remembering to send email press-releases to media when a search is going to be held, to attract more supporters.

But there are hundreds of vehicles there, and each one has a trunk and a space between the vehicle and the floor, and the vehicle floor beneath the seats, where a body could be hidden. I think an initial, urgent search for a living/possibly injured person couldn't possibly have covered every vehicle here.

If officers think Holly is there every vehicle will have to be searched and that will take a lot of manhours. Our SAR experts will know for certain, but I'm not sure how much use cadaver dogs would be in a search of a junkyard where many of the vehicles may have been involved in fatal accidents. I don't think a cadaver (as opposed to a tracker) dog necessarily works on an individual's scent, just the scent of death. I could well be wrong about this though.

RBBM. For the most part, cadaver dogs work from the scent of death. Scent can be affected by cold or hot weather making it difficult for the dog.

Opening the trunk of every car in the yard would be a large task. If they are not already unlocked, one would wonder how the perp would get a body into a trunk. Putting that aside, the trunk would need to be pried open with a bar or a Fire Department "Jaws of Life" if a dog were to hit on it.
