There is no information from LE, it's a real mystery. Clicks and possible subscriptions are there for the taking.... So Daily Mail makes sense, IMO. "Get some information here!" They are all about the clicks, also IMO.

Also, I bet the mother was paid and that will help her with funding she needs to find her daughter.

Before the missing person report was filed. They told her she worked her whole shift. Then it was that she left at 1045. Then it was she left at 1015. They also told the mother they think she left with another co worker. It’s not like they told her they couldn’t give her any information. Instead they gave multiple stories. I’m just saying it goes to show the job is completely unorganized, can’t account for its employees, and has many inconsistencies. Sometimes that can go back to the process of hiring and who they hire. If they don’t do their due diligence in one area, they may not necessarily do it in another.
Or, perhaps, the stories are different because somebody is lying. We don't know yet.

If I had a relative with dementia living in that facility, I'd be having some serious concerns about their ability to keep track of people

That might be attributable to the workplace getting factual information straight as the day went on. I’ve had that happen at work also, the initial event details were clarified and far different when I spoke to the actual employees involved.

I know some are suspicious of the circumstances at the assisted living facility. But due to the short length of time she was employed there, I think it’s far more likely that she’s missing due to someone from her personal life.

SNIPPED:
Correction: This article has been updated to reflect that while the Homicide Unit is involved in the investigation, the case is currently not being investigated as a homicide.
Snipped:
Philadelphia police also scheduled a press conference in which they planned to provide updates on the search for Scott that was scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. They later cancelled that press conference, however, and have not revealed why

Sorry if this was posted already.

Yes i understand. Maybe I’m hyper focused because I work in a hospital and in the past as a supervisor for nursing home/rehab and it’s passed off between supervisors during shift report. Also with the way this facility’s pay structure is set up, it seems they would have to be on top of time worked

I have never heard of Homicide being involved with a case but not investigating the case as a homicide.

I hope someday this will make sense.

In an interview with the Daily Mail UK (paywalled), her mother mentioned that she’s worried because she’s been getting conflicting information about her daughter’s work schedule and what actually happened that night. She said the times she was given for when her daughter supposedly left work kept changing, and there’s confusion about whether she left alone or with a coworker.

How could they not know?! And I wonder when the anonymous text messages started. Was it when she started this job ? I didn’t even know something like TextNow existed

I really wonder who and how many staff members are on site for the night shift.

Our upscale senior living community in Philadelphia offers a compassionate environment of personal care, memory care, and enriching lifestyles for your loved ...

It is advertised as more assisted living apartments, so people who are somewhat independent but really not sure how that all plays out- some still drive? They get all their meals served to them? There is housekeeping? 24 hr medical assistance? ... or not? It also says "memory care," so is there more supervision for people who need it? Was unclear to me from the online information.

I posted this in a separate conversation so apologies to those who have to read it again (or skip it, I won’t be offended!):
Re: eligibility requirements, Miss USA Pennsylvania states the following for contestants:

“ALL DELEGATES • Must be of good health and moral character • Must be a Citizen of the United States • Must be recognized medically and legally as a female in the United States, and at least one of the following three statements must be true:

(1) Must now reside in their state as their permanent and primary residence for a period of at least ninety (90) days immediately prior to the beginning of their state pageant (although they may have attended college or University elsewhere, or work full time in another state); or

(2)
Must have resided in the State as a full-time student at a school, college or university for one full semester, trimester or summer session immediately prior to the state pageant, and still enrolled as a full-time student at a school, college or university and will continue to reside in the state (although they may spend the summer in another state). or

(3)
Must retain full-time employment in the State (i.e., I work at least forty (40) hours per week in the State, and I qualify for employment benefits provided by my employer) and have maintained such full-time employment for a period of at least ninety (90) days prior to the date of the State Pageant.”

I post these requirements for two reasons:

1) I wonder if perhaps she took the not-prestigious (but extremely important!) job in the assisted living facility simply as a way to fulfill the third requirement. She claims on her LinkedIn to have graduated from college in 2023, but was in the 2025 Miss USA Pennsylvania competition, so she would not have met the second criteria as it states delegates must have held/were going to hold full-time student status up to and after the state competition.

Related to that “student status” thing, I am not positive, but wonder if perhaps she might not have graduated from PSU University Park, as her LinkedIn profile suggests she does (I could not find the name “Kada Scott” in the 2023 PSU Commencement programs for the College of Communications OR the College of Liberal Arts at Penn State’s main campus (and PSU’s main campus does not even appear to offer a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts/Liberal Studies, which is what her LI profile says she majored in). Here is the page where that program, and other programs for the summer and fall commencement ceremonies can be found, if others would like to look for themselves : Past Graduates & Commencement Programs Archive

2): I wonder if perhaps she could have been being harassed/blackmailed by someone who knew she didn’t meet one of the Miss USA Pennsylvania eligibility requirements (“good moral character,” as deposed Miss America Vanessa Williams can attest, is a requirement it is pretty easy to fall afoul of, and I imagine that’s even truer for a pretty young woman like Kada living in today’s social media-saturated world!) and she might’ve met up with that person at the Arboretum to try to persuade them to leave her alone, with fatal consequences.

I think this is very unlikely.

For one, the pageant was over. She had already competed.

Second, she met eligibility as PA seems to be her home state. She didn't need to be working. The work eligibility rule only applies if it's not your home state. So if a girl lives in PA and works in Delaware, she's eligible to compete in PA (because she lives there) and also eligible to compete in DE (because she works there). If PA was her home state, she doesn't need to also work in PA. She's eligible just by virtue of living there.

Also, the moral clause is very difficult to disprove. It actually *isn't* easy to fall afoul of that. Vanessa Williams posed nude in a magazine, which is why she lost her crown. Short of naked photos or something, no one could say she broke that clause. It is possible someone had some dirt on her, but I doubt she'd meet them during her work shift to get them to stop. That just doesn't sound like something someone would do, especially when the pageant was already over.

MOO.

So personal care and memory care would indicate high dependence residents. My parents are in a similar facility and there is only a skeleton staff on overnight as generally most clients are sleeping. Maybe 1 or 2 staff per floor.
There is however an entry system with passcodes on all doors/lifts to eliminate escape or trespassers. This would appear not to be the case at ‘The terrace’ nor as we have heard cameras.

I get what you’re saying. But it depends on who Kada’s Mom initially and subsequently spoke with. That’s all I’m pointing out.

Must be a full time student or just completed a semester and still be enrolled as a full time student and have worked full time for 9o days before the pageant. They dont ask for much?? 😉

Makes sense to me, and the type of job could serve her well in the pageant world, too. Humanitarian type jobs.

The word OR is very important. You don't have to meet all three criteria. You only have to meet one. Everyone is eligible in the state they live in. If you want to compete in a state you don't live in full-time, then you have to be a student in the state you want to compete in OR work full-time in the state you want to compete in. Per their website.

I can see that being true. Homicide detectives could have a different skill set they need for the Missing Person investigation.

But IMO, internally they are thinking foul play, but aren’t ready to state that publicly. That’s not uncommon.

Kada graduated from Penn State in 2023, where she studied communications. She also recently began participating in pageants. ‘She broke into it this past summer. It’s called Miss USA,’ Kevin said. ‘That was actually her first time participating in a pageant. She said she loved the experience and wanted to do it again.’

[SBM]

Kevin [Scott] said Kada’s mother called her job and learned that she left early, around 10:30 p.m. ‘That was the last time someone saw her,’ he said. ‘And then she disappeared.’

[SBM]

‘She had an iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch in her bag, but they were not inside the vehicle. Whatever happened, she took her belongings with her.’

The word "left" is making me crazy. If someone "left the building" someone has to see it, or have some kind of entry exit card, or some kind of time card to know what time. If no one saw it, and there does not seem to be any kind of entry log, then it is last time seen and no longer in building and you would have no idea what time she "left the building". Unless there was a time clock or something. If there was, why isn't it "clocked out at x time"? If someone did see her leave, then why isn't it "A co-worker saw her leave the building at X time"? The wording is just goofy.

I agree, just because they weren't in the car doesn't mean she took them with her. IMO. I have deleted my comments on this 3 times because I sound like I'm looking for trouble. I just can't get past the walking out/leaving within approx 30 minutes from a job she had for 2 weeks, then throw in these harassing messages that from what I've read are recent as well. Now we know this pageant thing is new (ish), YES, that does open some avenues but still, If she wanted to quit or didn't care I doubt she would leave those items behind. The car was her mothers, if she were running she had to know her mother expected that car back by (according to distance)6:20am. These things could be an elaborate setup from Kada but I don't know why at her age etc, she seems to be goal oriented. WE NEED AN UPDATE ASAP. IMO

I called the new to pageants thing. She just didn't seem like a seasoned pageant queen.

If she had an apple watch, I'm sure she was wearing it, especially at work. Ditto the phone, if she was allowed to have it on her person. As for the ipad, I imagine that would be in a bag somewhere? Clearly not in the car, as I'm sure that's been searched top to bottom by now.

The phone and the watch missing are not odd to me, as I assume they'd be on her person. The ipad? There's been no mention AFAIK of a bag being mentioned - whether she usually took one to work, brought it in with her, or left it in the boot or car. That would be interesting to know her usual pattern. Did she even keep the ipad in a bag? Either way, the ipad's whereabouts are not known. Perhaps the missing ipad was somewhat of a trophy, or opportunistic chance to steal it, along with whatever else happened?

I just checked out the website of where she works and found it interesting. I'd want to live there when I'm old and frail, although it appears quite costly. It sounds too good to be true! However, it all just feels Stepford Wives-ish to me. They do care for dementia patients, and without cameras that is somewhat frightening to me. Let's hope they have internal locks that aren't easily opened between areas and floors. There also seems to be quite a few roles available across their PA sites too. High turnover of staff? If so, why? .

According to this NBC video, police say LE want to talk to a man, they are NOT considering this individual a suspect, they just want to talk to him because he could possibly answer some of their questions, and this meeting could take place today.

Also, the arboretum in Germantown. Evidently, a vehicle went in and out of the arboretum around the time Kada went missing. Nothing significant was uncovered in the search of the arboretum.
