How scary and sad that old school looks.

I really hope she didn't suffer long.

I can't explain why but this case is really bothering me. Needing to get off early tonight.

RIP dear Kada
I think many of us were rooting for Kada, hoping against odds for a good outcome, even despite our collective experience with how these situations usually go. It's completely UNFAIR what happened to a bright, promising, beloved young woman who was simply at work.

I’m glad she has been found. Although the outcome is not what we were hoping for at least her family now knows. It’s absolute hell not knowing.

A vibrant young woman with hopes and dreams. A woman with a bright future. Taken by an absolute demented loser.

It makes me sick to learn her last moments were with this guy.

I do wonder how they met. Were they in a relationship?

It’s always so senseless, what was gained by taking Kada’s life? I’ll never understand why this continues to happen, or better yet how we can prevent it - when the legal system continues to let dangerous predators back out on the streets.

It seems like we simply can’t initiate change, the perpetrators have more rights/legal protections than victims and potential future victims.

Leaves victims at risk. Emboldens abusers. How demoralizing for LE too. They arrest them,  Lady Lazy Justice lets them go.

The world won't be a safe place unless women can go for a run, go to work, come and go from home and be in their homes unmolested. Perpetrators get the presumption of innocence but it shouldn't come at the wholesale neglect of victims' safety.

Police discovered human remains at an abandoned school while searching for Kada Scott, the 23-year-old Philadelphia woman who has been missing since she failed to come home from an overnight shift two weeks ago.

Investigators found the remains in a shallow grave on Saturday in the same area where Scott’s personal belongings were found days earlier, according to John Stanford, deputy commissioner of the Philadelphia Police Department. Police said a tip came in to investigators directing them to search the wooded area around Ada H. Lewis Middle School.

That’s where the woman’s remains were found, Stanford said. The remains have been sent to the medical examiner’s office to determine the identity, Stanford said...

LE and the DA's Office has been pretty open with the public, keeping us all updated as the investigation evolved. I hope that continues, I need to know how this monster connected to Kada. That part has never made sense to me, how did he get her to leave work and enter in his car?

ITA.
Dragged ?
Did he use chloroform ?
Lured under false pretenses ?
Anyone else involved ?
Etc.
Imo.

Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore said last week that evidence showed it was “pretty clear” Scott had been in communication with King.
they have a suspect who, surprise surprise, has also assaulted another woman previously (victim did not pursue/appear, case was dropped).

Iirc LE indicated foul play from the start, I think even before LE had a POI (if they had a name, they would have known immediately that she was in grave danger because of his known history). I suspect there was evidence in the parking lot. Broken nails, pulled hair extensions, blood.

I think he took her by force. How else would they call it foul play so quickly otherwise?

Yes, I think LE knew from the very start.

Still, I wonder if he lured her out or did she leave the building for some reason and he was laying in wait? Did he follow her to work?

Why oh why did she leave her job at night?

Yep.
A suspect who was and is a 'bad egg', and has been for some time, it would appear.
My .02 is that he might have misrepresented himself to Kada ?
Imo.

He seems to feed into the social media presentation also. I feel like this may have been a connection point. 2 strong personalities pairing

I don't recall they indicated foul-play from the start.

LE stated they were concerned and jumped on it quickly - saying Scott's case "is troubling," particularly because "you have a 23-year-old young lady who has completely disappeared. We have no cell phone activity. We have no social media activity. She has not reached out to family or friends." They were also highly concerned because of the harrassment she mentioned.

Regardless, I really hope they disclose more details.

He needs to plead guilty to every charge they lodge against him. Straight to LWOP. May there never be a whole dollar in his commissary account.

He threw away his life so he could destroy hers.

So very sad for her family.
