We read so many upsetting details about cases on these threads, but there's something in particular about the phrase "shallow grave" that just chills me every time

Just because she came outside doesn't mean she willingly left with him.

Her Apple watch will likely testify for her.

Tragically, it will probably come to be that, it wasn't so much her watch stopped reporting, as she did.

Iiuc it will record her steps, her heartbeat and when they stopped.

It will show the moment she realized she was in grave danger because it'll show the spike in heart rate.

Chilling.

She was probably gone before her workmates realized she hadn't come back.

It's all just so cruel, so unfair.

Likely. I imagine a scenario where he says he will take her to pick up food for "lunch" later at work. She grabs her bag and runs out for what she believes will be a quick 15 minutes. Amd he wants something she's not willing to give and he kills her.
The fact that they associated him with several phones...makes me question was he the stalker as well.

I'm wondering if he showed up at her work and it embarassed her so she left the building to get him to leave?

Yep. What’s also interesting to me is the inquirer mentions in their Instagram post that the tip specifically mentioned looking along an old wooden fence that borders the rec center and the school. But it appeared that they located her remains on the other side of the parking lot in the woods

I read that Kada went on a date with a gentleman (Mini Golf?) immediately before her night shift. The impression I got was that it might have been a first date.
He was upfront with detectives and subsequently cleared.
Would be interested to hear more details.

The car was not burned, it was left at a gated apartment complex. It's not thought that the car was stolen , but it may have belonged to a family member.

We don't know if the body was moved as it's not clear exactly when/where she died.

Yes, one of the cars was burned. It was a stolen Hyundai believed to be used in the crime (as seen on new footage) that was set on fire on Ogontz Ave. The Toyota recovered a few days ago in the Gypsy Lane parking lots was registered to King, but he did not use it for this.

More information has come out that she died before 10:30pm on 10/4.

In every way, I guess he didn't think she was entitled to have a life of her own.

If she was out with a different guy the night she disappeared that could have been the trigger. Just pure rage that she would pick someone other than him.

That's what I'm thinking. She was only two weeks into that job. MOO I'd be mortified if some guy I knew for whatever reason showed up at my workplace while I was still new there.

There was a neighbor who reported that in the week or so prior to Kada’s disappearance, Keon asked someone information about Kada. The neighbor’s original tik tok was deleted but someone shared it before it was. There are two nearby neighbors who took to online. The first was Dee who outed gabby for not going to the police. This is gabby’s response and clearing the air. There are a lot of discrepancies which commenters pointed out - like saying Keon called her and it shows an outgoing call, a canceled call to her friend, an incorrect date when she says she talked to Dee after Keon being arrested.

IMO it paints a picture that he was starting to stalk and gather info on Kada. IMO I don’t think they dated. To me, it sounds like he was the neighborhood weed guy, and that could have been how the 2 met, and then he escalated from there possibly.

I don't think it did. The apple watch indicated Awbury recreation center, they found evidence at the school right next door. The phones indicated Kada and King traveling together to the rec center. And it may have taken this long to get the surveillance video or get through it once they got the phone data. They already had the surveillance from the arboretum. I do think they were not well versed in searching for fresh graves amongst the trees. That's a hard one, that they missed that. What if the tipster hadn't contacted them? It's not a good look.

IIRC they originally searched the school on Weds 10/15 due to an anonymous tip. They found items belonging to her then. They already had the phone data which showed the two heading that direction, but had only searched the arboretum prior. I just feel like even with that info, they could have and should have pulled other surveillance. And then with the tip to the school - the rec center is right there. The parking lot is in front.

The Inquirer says that they found out about the watch late last week and then pulled footage on Friday from the rec center, and overnight Friday they got the anonymous tip that provided further details. If I weren’t for the persistence of the anonymous tipster, I’m not sure they would have found her. You’re right though, it’s crazy to me that they searched and did not find the disturbed ground the first time through. Really devastating all around

Thank God for the person who submitted the tip and told them to go back again. Hopefully that person will come forward and continue to help with the case against King if they have not already. This really speaks to the importance of organizations like CrimeStoppers who allow people to submit anonymous information who may not be comfortable speaking with the police directly. JMO.
