Court docs reveal Oct. 4 texts, calls between Kada Scott, Keon King

The texts…🤔 I don’t know what to make of them with such little info.
The video shows someone helping him to bring what is likely Kada’s body to the woods.
Curious about the two women he lives with and the contractor bags. Don’t know what that’s about and why it’s mentioned if it was not related at all.

From the link:

According to court records, there were a dozen calls between Kada Scott and Keon King on Oct. 4 — the day Scott went missing. The filing also revealed some texts between Scott and King. One from Scott read, “Kidnap me again,” with King allegedly replying “better be up to,” followed by Scott telling him to call her when he got to her.

A co-worker of Scott’s told detectives Scott was upset and said over the phone, “I can’t believe you’re calling me about this.” She then walked towards a dark-colored car parked outside the nursing home in Chestnut Hill where she worked just before 10:15 p.m. Scott’s phone then went dead nine minutes later.

Detectives said King was at the rec center near Ada Lewis Middle School in Germantown less than 15 minutes later and they believe Scott was likely dead at that point.

They said surveillance video showed King getting out of the black car — which was a stolen Hyundai Accent — and walking away.

More from the same link:

The next night, investigators said King drove back to the rec center in a gold Toyota Camry with someone else. The two seemed to remove something heavy from the Hyundai towards the place where Scott’s remains were eventually found.

They said the pair was seen on video walking away. On Oct. 7, just before 3 a.m., King reportedly went back to the Hyundai and drove off. About 45 minutes later, the Hyundai was found set on fire in West Oak Lane.

Oh wow. My brain is spinning.
Mine too. My initial reaction is that he had picked her up from work a different time. “Kidnap me” meaning come get me from work and take me away. Go get food or whatever. It was an overnight job with no cameras. It could’ve been easy to sneak out for a little bit. JMO and initial thought.

Very ominous words though. And considering his history, which there’s a good chance she knew nothing about.

I am very curious to know who the second individual is.

My initial thought was kidnap me again and then him saying you better be up for it was something sexual. But I feel like neither of these things fit with the rest of the phone conversation so I feel like there’s a lot in there to fill in the gaps

Do we know how long they knew each other? I think we do can someone remind me? The kidnap me again sounded sexual to me as well but if indeed a scenario like that played out what car would he have allegedly used to picked her up? His? The stolen car? A different stolen car? Wouldn't she have questioned who's car is this? Ugh! Why did she get in.

Also sounds completely premeditated. JMO

Also, I’m just thinking that if it was sexual, it’s a bigger thing for him historically and she didn’t realize it was like a real reality thing. If it was just play, turned into how he was really was and his reality went too far

We are missing context here. I can't for the life of me understand that last exchange

Actually, now that I think about it, the I can’t believe you’re calling me about this statement could fit if they were just texting about it and then he started calling getting serious and aggressive about it

ohh yeah, I interpret the same but it’s hard to say. I think that he possibly picked her up from work before is what I gather from the again, and that she was willing to go with him again. Don’t know the nature of their relationship, if there was anything sexual between them or if he expected more than what she wanted. You’re right, whatever the coworker heard doesn’t fit her being asked to be picked up. And that coupled with her being harassed in the weeks prior…

I wonder why they never mentioned the dark sedan before.

It’s so creepy to me given the word choice and his past history.

this rings true for me. it strikes me as sexual, but also possibly like they were misunderstanding each other in some respect. (and i don't just mean the obvious point that he'd apparently already planned to murder her, and yet it's safe to say she did not plan to be murdered.) i mean possibly just about what each other were saying.

also, his "better be up for [it]" sounds like she said changed her mind and said no to something in the past and it frustrated him. and we can speculate that happened again, and the murder was his reaction. but then, how does the apparent premeditation fit with that?

i entertained the idea that the original purpose of stealing the car was to impress her, and then the rest of the theory would fit. but frankly, it was a 2008, which i'm guessing has seen better days. not the car i'd steal to impress a girl.

new partial theory just occurred to me:
she didn't know the car was stolen until after she got in. he had just said he had a new ride or something like that. that's why she didn't hesitate to get in. then, after she got in, he admitted it or she figured it out. like a nice girl with normal sensibilities, her reaction was something like "what the ****?? you can't steal cars! let me out right here." and in the heat of that argument, he killed her. maybe she rejected him hard at that point. or maybe she said she was going to tell the police.

if i'm understanding right, it was only something like 10 minutes between when she got in the car and when she was dead. argument over stealing the car fits that timeline.

this secnario fits with the possibility that the purpose of stealing the car was actually to impress her (yeah, a 2008, but maybe it was in good condition and short on security features...?). also possibly works even if the murder was premeditated, though then the motive is a question mark.

I think for whatever reason, he got her to leave the workplace. When she got into his car, it turned into violence/sex right away. Or maybe he sped off immediately and she had no chance to escape. She likely realized too late he took the "kidnap" text seriously and the situation turned into something she didn't intend. But, he was strong, crazy (imo), and in control of the car. Ten minutes later, she was dead. I'm guessing the murder happened at the park LE first searched. Speculation

Kidnap me.... from work.

Is very different than: kidnap me at work and kill me.

If he was her stalker, I'm guessing SHE didn't know that. Love bomber, more likely. She didn't bring anything with her but her phone (in a case, IMO which houses her ID or back card). Perhaps she only intended to be gone from work, how do I say, quickiely.

But he knew she'd just been on a date....

And why a separate car, just for this? Premeditated, but how far back? He stole the car before she went on her date... maybe she'd had other social goings on and he was already incensed. Stalker with a DV mindset. If I can't have you, no one can. Or: you think I can't have you? Watch me have you. Or: you gonna do me like that? Injustice collector?

Her phone was off 9 minutes later? Did he rip it from her?

Her Apple Watch will tell the story.

With brutal accuracy, I fear.

IMO, the text messages about kidnapping are a sexual scenario, and then the phone call her coworker overheard was a ruse to get out of work so that she could be "kidnapped"...as in she acted upset and made sure her coworker heard her, portraying a reasonable excuse to rush out of work all of a sudden.

Obviously, either their kidnapping fantasy went WAY too far and she died accidentally, or he had malicious intent all along. I'm leaning slightly toward the latter, but I'm sure there's plenty of information we have yet to learn.

I'm even inclined to think that his "better be up to" response could be a voice-input/speech-to-text mistake that was supposed to say, "better be able to." When saying those two phrases out loud, I could understand how the two could be mistaken for each other if spoken low and quiet or slurred, if that makes sense at all. And if that's the case, it falls in line with the need for her to convince her coworker that she was upset and stepping out for an emergency or something. Maybe they've tried this before and she was not able to leave work, so this time he told her that she "better be able to" get out of there when he arrives.

All MOO of course.... I just couldn't help but think that with the co-worker overheard was a clever disguise in a sense. I witnessed people do this in real life plenty of times to get out of work, dates, awkward situations, etc....fake an emergency and run out the door in a panic while pretending to be on the phone to avoid the need to explain your sudden exit 😂
