On my way to pick up a Kortne Pizza. Immediately east of the used book store on East Main appears to be every emergency vehicle in the borough. I looked over and there are multiple squad cars in the driveway back by the garage, people milling around. A state stopper just passed me en route and he was FLYING, lights & sirens.

I'll see what I can see on the way back.

It's not a fire and it's not a heart attack.

"Early Sunday morning, when she and a male friend returned to her apartment, they saw several neighbors in the first-floor apartment. Kortne vented her anger at them, her father said.

"In an interview this week, Janice Riemenschneider and Rich Sheetz, who live in the apartment below Kortne’s, said they saw Kortne kick and swing at Todd Saksek, who lives in the other half of the duplex.

"They said Kortne’s friend stepped between them. The neighbors said Kortne’s friend also made hostile remarks toward them. At that point, Riemenschneider and Sheetz said they closed their door and called police."

Andrea-So what you are speculating is that Kortne drove herself (and possibly others) to Harrisburg using her own car, as well as either was driven by someone or drove herself, again, in her own car, back to her apartment?

Actually, I am not speculating anything here because I do not know how she got anywhere that night. I do not believe the media, the family, or CP and MR. It is very difficult to sort out the fact from the fiction that is being reported to us.

Here is what I have learned as far as this case is concerned: If something does not make any sense, it isn't true. The media incorrectly reported it, the family bended the truth in order for their daughter to be seen in a better light, or CP and MR are lying.

Examples:
-The initial report that one of the dogs was missing from the house. The confusion: I spent hours trying to figure out why one dog would be missing while the other was not, because it didn't make any sense. It didn't make sense because it wasn't true.

-KS's mom's comment that she wanted someone for "protection". <modsnip>

-The noise complaint reports. There have been a million reasons given for why the police were called to her apartment twice. There can't be a million reasons for 2 complaints. There can only be 2 reasons for 2 complaints. The confusion: I believe the family fibbed to the media about the reason behind noise complaints, in order to not have to explain that their daughter was being confrontational.

-Refusing to tell the public that her boyfriend was in jail. The confusion: Countless people speculated that the boyfriend was somehow involved, while i was :banghead: with no way to explain to people why the family/police were so POSITIVE that he was not there.

-CP and MR's stories. The confusion: <modsnip>.

So, when it comes to when/how KS got to the original bar. . .or when/how KS's car was at her home. . . or anyone else. . . if it doesn't make sense? It's because the information that would allow it to make sense hasn't been released to us yet.

I completely agree that her parents held back some info in order to not make Kortne look bad, which is understandable, as maybe people would not be as interested in her if they knew she had been having police called on her fighting in bars, apartments, <modsnip>
But it never helps when you try to edit the story, at least if you are really wanting people to come forward to help. Sooner or later the stuff always comes out.

Not sure if PSP flying over Main Street at 80mph is typical or if everyone's on edge.

When I saw all of that, it took my breath. Just took my breath.

I couldn't avoid understanding how much I hate that this is happening here. Hate it, hate it, hate it.

This is the first time i've been a 'local' and I didn't understand how that felt before. I truly, deeply hate it.


It's a lovely evening, but there's a ring around the moon, so I expect there will be rain. People are out, the sidewalk tables are full, vacationers are squealing on the roller coasters.

It's four weeks tonight that Kortne vanished.

I hate to say this, but from watching missing persons cases for years...with the back story of the day in question falling into place, if not for Kortne's physical appearance, her story would probably be getting far less attention than it is...

Sadly, you are right. Many people are motivated by the fact that Kortne is a beautiful young woman. However, I am thankful for the many people on here that are lending their thoughts and ideas, motivated by a desire to help a family that is suffering greatly. I am thankful for the locals who are hanging flyers and talking with family and friends, getting the word out and keeping Kortne on everyone's minds. I am thankful for the Peace Pies and the t-shirts and the jewelry and the stickers and signs.

As I have shared before, for me it's personal. That was my home. It was and is a special place to me and my family. We created many wonderful memories there and it breaks my heart that a family is now experiencing a daily nightmare, revolving around that same home. I keep holding out hope, however slim, that this may turn into a good memory for them. But it gets harder with each passing day.

Maybe her driving to one place and ending up riding elsewhere with others, has nothing to do with this or isn't even a big deal.

I've driven to a bar alone to meet friends and ended up riding in their car to another bar/club later on.

Maybe she rode with CP & MR and a mutual friend drove her car home - probably not because it hasn't been stated that way but I've certainly done it.

I have to say that the fact that TS has lawyered up and MR hasn't speaks volumes to me. IMO MOO JMO

I can't speak for anyone and I've never been arrested so I can't say what I would do in a delicate situation but if I were innocent of something, anything - I'd not need an attorney. MOO

For what it's worth, MR has been consisten on FB. Same old young party boy. Doesn't seem to be violent or anything but again, FB is just ..FB.

It's very sad that someone's social status or behaviors make or break how much publicity they receive when they go missing; not to say it totally pizzes me off :maddening::maddening:

But I have to agree because if you look at the number of missing young adults and the number of cases discussed here it is maddening :maddening:

Someday, hopefully in a perfect world, every missing young adult will have all of us to "look" for them....my heart breaks

Did the Patriot News/Pennlive.com article mention the next door neighbor calling the landlord? I don't think it did.

- Next door neighbor told local restaurant that he did allow search dogs in his house and believes himself to be "crossed off the list"

- Kortne's boyfriend was arrested for drinking, thus violating his terms of probation

- It appeared from the report that Kortne's dad only very recently learned of the information we've been discussing today.
