"I believe, in talking with the kid that was there and the neighbors, I believe they're on top of what happened," he said. "The problem is I really don't know if Kortne was in the house between the first and the second 911 call to the police. That's something that has me a little bit puzzled. Was she in the house when they came the second time?"

Scott Stouffer said he talked to one of the detectives investigating the case during the weekend, but there have been no recent developments.

Are there window air conditioners on the 2nd and 3rd floor of Kortne's apartment?

From LDN article:

"According to her father, K had a gathering, which included alcohol, on the evening of July 28th...During the gathering, probation officers showed up and arrested her boyfriend..."

That should end any speculation and rumor that K's BF was arrested earlier on the 28th.

Interesting, because 'the kid' had said before that it was Kortne who was making the banging noise, and both did not hear the police coming the 2nd time. So he claims that Kortne was still there up to the time the police came the 2nd time. Dad doesn't really believe him?

Hi, Epiphany; the question I had stated far above was why the probation officers showed up at the gathering: Were they called? Were the police called and then his DUI record turned up when they checked? (It's possible that the police arrested him for a probation violation.) Was Kortne outraged because a neighbor had, probably unintentionally, gotten her boyfriend busted?

[A few years ago, neighbors above an apartment in a building called the police about a loud party opposite me, which honestly I couldn't even hear. In any case, when the police came, they handcuffed and arrested one of the party-goers because he he had an outstanding bench warrant. It had nothing apparently to do with the original complaint.]

What are your thoughts on what happened to Kortne? Was it TS that called the 2nd time? Have you heard anything about CP's (stay over guy) actions that night?

I am not sure what to think honestly, So many things have been thrown around, and so many ideas and thoughts of her just leaving have been said etc. I really don't know. But I can say that again TS is a very close family friend and I honestly don't see him hurting someone like that. Yes he was the one to call the second time, the cops showed up 30 minutes later and left after 5 minutes, they did not knock on his door.

I think that he simply said that he went to bed and didn't hear any door-knocking.

Respectfully BBM

If stomping complaint was called into police by TS at 4:12 AM and CP corroborates that Kortne was still angry and was stomping...was K not stomping in her apartment? Was she stomping on the stairs? Outside? Inside?

Wonder where TS and CP each stated they believed the stomping sound was coming from?

has mr jr submitted to all of the above in addition to his car being impounded?

and as for the rest of the nieghbors too...just to be thorough...

the info about her banging on the windows etc.... that might get a person hurt if the occupants thought she was trying to get in to assault them or something.

idk... i wish we knew if any of this violent behavior is true or not -- its all just so over the top. not just calling someone a name or giving them a dirty look, but trying to strike people with her hands and feet etc. banging on windows, stomping and banging... i dont mean anything bad about ks at all, im just struggling to understand what the heck could have been going with her and was she like this all the time? so many q's....

I beleive she was angry that her bf had been arrested the previous night and was angry at everyone and everything thus the reason for her anger.

I assume he lives on both floors but TDOTSFAM may be able to confirm that. He is not the landlord for any of the neighbors, according to county records.

He is the owner of that whole side, not the landlord or ks place.

Yes, police were called by TS [next door neighbor] on the evening of July 28th. Probation officers showed up. Call came in from next door neighbor according to recent MSM:

Snipped

Scott Stouffer said his daughter was angry at her next door neighbor for calling police on her boyfriend who was drinking and violated his probation.

After officers arrested her boyfriend, Kortne confronted and tried to hit her neighbor early the next morning.

Interesting:
KS 04/25/12 Disorderly Conduct/Furnish Alcohol to Minors

TS 02/06/98 Simple Assault
06/12/06 Criminal Mischief/Damage Property

Just because a person had a simple assault 14 years ago and Criminal mischief 6 years ago don't mean they are that same person now. This goes for anyone with a previous record, people do change beleive it or not.

I'm not understanding the confusion about why Kortne was upset that night. Her boyfriend was arrested and she believed he would be in jail for quite a length of time. Who in the world wouldn't be upset about that? I know I'd be visibly upset all night if this happened to me.

On a side note, there's a rumor that CP was theoretically, maybe, possibly, up to his same partying ways tonight. It's so strange to watch him move on like nothing happened while KS remains disappeared. It was creepy. He didn't look affected at all.

I also have a question for those who may know more than me. In other cases, when police were quiet, they were conducting round the clock surveillance on their suspects. Is it possible that police are watching CP? I'm asking because Penn National is a place that requires license for entry. So it doesn't seem possible to watch CP while he is there. . .if there was a new guy (an undercover cop) present, he would stick out like a sore thumb.

Youre right, yes they can change. it wasn't my intention to show them as being bad people per se.....

I don't think it is clear in the article when her dad said what he said, in various quotes, FWIW. He may have learned other things, quotes may be from earlier, etc...

Hi, Epiphany, and thanks so much. So that makes three calls to the police between the evening and the following morning: Once for the loud party, once for the ineffective physical attack, and once for the stomping.

(And it seems to have been the police and not the probation officer who were called, which seems much more logical.)

As time passes, I'm convincing myself more and more that Kortne was so supercharged after the stomping that she left the building and ran afoul of someone who saw an attractive young woman dressed in sexy summer attire. One can imagine the incident escalating from there, with Kortne being in no mood to acquiesce to an aggressive jerk.

After 3:45 AM, we're only hearing CP's version. KS isn't talking.
