"apparently" lying in wait? that an interesting way of putting it. But the official report is that LE came the first time because KS was seen assulting one of the neighbors and the sleepover buddy threatened the couple downstairs. reports are, which papa did not deny, was that KS saw them in the apt, became angry, and confronted them. My guess is if the account of the gathering is true, it was a "neighborhood watch" meeting designed to solve the problem of "Maria", i.e KS and her late night lifestyle with strangers coming and going at all hours of the day. For the record, irrespective of whether KS was thrown out of the bar that night or not, LE was called to address two distinct KS incidents at the APT, in addition to her BF being led off in handcuffs hours before. The calls came from two different neighbors. How DO we solve a problem like Maira, indeed?

I thought the cops were at the house the first time for the underage drinking?

Official report? Where is that? We don't have one.

I'm so behind BUT -

"Kortne was last seen officially about 3:45 a.m., just before the responding officer's departure after the first call. When police returned for the second call, no one answered the door at Kortne's apartment or at her downstairs neighbor's apartment.

Pruett said he awoke about 7:30 a.m. and did not see Kortne, so he left."

Various and conflicting media reports with no real specifics but when I read this - I assume they knocked and then wonder - why no name? Timothy Lengle was reported in the media as the officer that showed up the 2nd time. (Meaning the first time was prior to Kortne going out when the 2 underage boys were charged)

Where is this girl?????

Any thoughts on staging some sort of "peaceful" protest in front of the Palmyra PD? Calling the news stations to come, with the possibility of coercing LE to have to make some sort of statement to diffuse the, again, peaceful protest? (and by that I mean organized group of concerned citizens coming together to let LE know we want answers!) I'm sure the many Palmyra dwellers and the like would gladly unite to get some answers...
Thoughts?

Keep rattling cages. I just had a response from one local media figure who got defensive to my concern that the coverage has fallen silent. Keep up the pressure and hold the watchers accountable!

UPDATE: He is no longer defensive and now seems genuinely interested in digging deeper. Keep your fingers crossed!

this thread is also to make sure we deal in What has been reported, and facts. We do have an official report of what happened that night. It's the police log.<modsnip>

that was when the BF was allegedly arrested for violating parole. If you count that time, which occurred earlier saturday, it was reported LE made 3 separate visits to the apt in the span of a few hours as a result of KS and her companion's alleged behaviour.

my understanding is nice middle aged downstairs neighbors called le the first time. ts called the second time.
Well, the down stairs neighbors may be middle aged but as far as nice, I have no idea if they are nice or not. There are conflicting reports about who made the second call.

where has it been reported that the second call came from someone other than the next door neighbor? Many of the initial reports were corrected as more information came in.<modsnip>

"The FBI is aware of what's going on," [Lebanon County District Attorney] Arnold said. "We'll see what that leads to, but they are definitely involved."

[Lebanon County] District Attorney Dave Arnold defended his office's investigation and fired back to Karl Rominger's comments in a statement to us over the phone. Arnold said, "we've had assistance from State Police from the very beginning he {Karl Rominger} is doing a disservice to his client and his community and it's irresponsible. We have reached out to the FBI in terms of the resources they might have available. Every resource we have we have reached out to."

How's it going with all those multiple agencies? The FBI? Really?

Are they aware or involved?

attention peeps: when you post at websleuths you need to leave the snark at the door. You can argue points but you cannot attack one another.

Respectfully Bolded By Me

Other than Kortne, no one age 21 yo or older has been reported to have been at the gathering that took place at Kortne's apartment the prior evening.

Neither CP nor MR, Jr. were there.

This transcript refers to downstairs neighbor making second 911 call. It's rather confusing because a lot of the MSM articles just say 'the neighbor' made the call and it could be either neighbor.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1208/13/ijvm.01.html

"Shortly after that a series of strange 911 calls send cops to her apartment, not once, but twice. Right around the time she disappeared. The first 911 call that reported a loud argument involving Kortne and a neighbor. The second 911 call from the person living below. This is her apartment. Complained of stomping and banging coming from her apartment. That time Kortne`s parents say cops went to the daughter`s door, but nobody answered so they left. "

No verification from LE to to best of my knowledge. Just a few people saying they heard no knocking.

One of those people claims to have heard nothing that night/morning, FWIW.

my understanding is nice middle aged downstairs neighbors called le the first time. ts called the second time. ts never said whether police knocked on his door, and whether he answered. the police, for the record, never confirmed the knock on either door.

It unnerves me that almost all the parties have criminal records. Especially when some of the "nice middle aged ones" have arrests for violent behavior (public record).

JMO, I think it remains unclear as to who made the second 911 call on the morning of the 29th.

One thing that reportedly happened at the same time was "an angry message" left with their landlord. I'm curious about that and how (if at all) the landlord responded about the problems between the residents.

I haven't seen anything indicating that any reporters have attempted to ask the landlord about the message. With so little information being public, that's an avenue that reporters could follow. Possible they have attempted to get information from the landlord, but the landlord declining to make any public comment.

Soon after, Kortne went back inside her apartment and stomped on the floor out of anger, causing the neighbor to call police again and left an angry message with their landlord.

http://www.whptv.com/news/local/sto...etails-more-about/DCJJ3PDO7EuAucOnLrPWJA.cspx

The use of "their landlord" suggests that the second call on 7-29 came from downstairs rather than from next-door (next-door being TS who we are told owns his part of the building therefore not having a landlord.) I can't rule out that "their" landlord could be a reporting error. Entirely possible that a reporter could have assumed that all of the residents of the building were tenants.

It has also been reported that the downstairs neighbors say the second call on 7-29 was made by the next-door neighbor.

They said Kortne’s friend stepped between them. The neighbors said Kortne’s friend also made hostile remarks toward them. At that point, Riemenschneider and Sheetz said they closed their door and called police.

Police got the call shortly after 3 a.m. and stayed until almost 4, when everyone had returned to their apartments.

Another call came within 30 minutes.

According to Kortne’s father and neighbors, Saksek called police after Kortne stomped on her apartment floor in anger.

http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2012/08/kortne_stouffer_disappeared_am.html

Due to the conflicting reporting, I cannot say with any certainty who made the second call. JMO.

I am not sure what to think honestly, So many things have been thrown around, and so many ideas and thoughts of her just leaving have been said etc. I really don't know. But I can say that again TS is a very close family friend and I honestly don't see him hurting someone like that. Yes he was the one to call the second time, the cops showed up 30 minutes later and left after 5 minutes, they did not knock on his door.

This was the post of someone who claims to know the next door neighbor very well. I don't know if this is the truth or not, but just wanted to throw it out there again.

Criminal histories (and some more recent than others...) -- that's one area where this case is not lacking. :jail:

It's also an area where I am experiencing some frustration. :banghead:

Do we have any info on what the prior criminal acts involved? Trying to get a sense of how serious the prior charges for each were.
