Hmm...TS had a Simple Assault in 1998 that says the offense date was New Year's Day 1980?!

Is that for real or a typo? That's really weird.

ETA: Or maybe my eyes are really, really bad

ALL PUBLIC RECORD.

A question for locals...

How often does the local grand jury meet?

I'm not a resident of Pennsylvania and am not familiar with their process.

Hee! I assume a typo since in 1980 he would have been 12. :what:

Possible neighbor mentioned in this publication, on Page 3. This is from 2009, so ages and location match up.

Where are you Kortne?

BBM

So possibly Kortne wasn't the only "party person" at the duplex...

Or possibly purchased alcohol for minors or possibly dabbled in drugs or possibly became physical during a fight...

What's the quote about people in glass houses... :fence:

The similarities are quite eerie.

Ive been following this discussion for a month without posting and its amazing how little "new" info has ever been posted. LE is keeping painfully quiet and i dont agree with some other local residents that they are sitting on something. The nature of this local LE is get you now, ask questions later, and who cares if they are wrong. Ive wondered if protocol wasnt followed nd they are hoping this whole thing quietly fades, as it IS doing locally. Perhaps a search warrent should have been obtained?
There has never been a press release by LE and imo thats a huge disservice to the community. Women dont know if this disappearance is considered specifically targeted to kortne or if the public is considered in danger. Not on word from LE to the community. Many women in the cozy town of Palmyra are living in fear of the unknown.
In regards to no one answering the door for LE at either kortnes or the neighbors i have to wonder which neighbors they knocked at? My understanding is the couple who lived below her called due to stomping but the fighting occured with Saksek who lived on the other side of the house. So did LE knock on the door below, or at Sakseks, ir neither? The neighbors are as tight lipped as LE so no one has offered up a reason why they didnt answer the door. Also cp says they went to sleep after cops left the second time, so whats his explanation for not answering the door? I also wonder if him being obseved texting kortne on camera was intentional? Did he pass the lie detector test? Did mr even take one. And wheres the mention of the other 2 who were with them that nite, where and when did they get dropped off? What if mr or one of the other two returned to kortnes that nite to pursue her, knowing her boyfriend was in jail?
The keys in the car is a puzzle. If she needed them to get in her house when she arrived home, how did they end up in her car? Was she restless and wanted to go somewhere an met foul play, or again, did someone with intentions show up and perhaps ask her for a ride? He could have done something to her in her own car, driven the car back to place, and took off leavig the keys put. So much to speculate about.
My heart goes out to her family. I wish they offered more up on the HLN shows but probably were sticking to LEs advice, altho it might have been better to give info. HLN could have pressured LE for answers or encouraged them to do more. Did they even check dumpsters or ask businesses for video suveillance on 422 at that isolated time of nite? There are businesses stretching from palmyra to lebanon, and from palmyra to hershey along 422. How about video surveillance from milton hershey school who may have captured some cars driving from palmyra to hershey on 322 or back roads?
Big question as to whether significant efforts were made or are being made.
To look at her house in the quiet little town of Palmyra knowing she went missing from there so quietly is unnerving.

kortne that morning on video wasnt intentionally

Welcome, JC! I'm local, too. I definitely agree with you that this is unnerving. I haven't been posting much because I honestly don't know what to think.

O/T The headlines of this paper are hilarious and very descriptive :floorlaugh:

What's the matter, doesn't your local paper call criminals "knuckleheads", "dimwits", or "bozos"??? :giggle:

I'm sure somebody has brought this up, I probably missed it, but on the missing facebook page facebook.com/missingcases On monday there is an article and a paragraph that states:

I knew he said he didn't know her, but I did NOT know he said he didn't hear any disturbance....when he was involved in the disturbance?!?!

There were supposedly several disturbances involving KS, did the article state which disturbance he was unaware of?

Maybe the neighbors were up because the DOGS WERE barking!

what if unknown person returned her car and went to her door knocking causing dogs to go bonkers!
Unknown goes back to the car and leaves keys in it cause KS isnt home.

Neighbors angry and are discussing what to do about everything! Then KS drives up with CP they confront here and the rest is history!

JMThoughts on this!

I do not think the neighbors were lying in wait for her.
I think they were roused from their sleep by barking dogs!

I think that makes a lot of sense. I would also like to add that people that are drinking and arriving somewhere at 3 in the morning are not in general a quiet group. They have no sense of their surroundings or how loud they are being, they can't help it, they are just clueless. I am thinking it's just as likely that Kortne and her entourage made a commotion when they arrived back at the apartment before going inside. Noises echo at night and the neighbors were probably done with the BS.
Also, why on earth would they want to be going to the media now? They called police on this person. When I call the police on someone it's generally because in my opinion the person is trouble and I want it stopped, whatever it is. All the info coming out now proves the neighbors had reason to be picking up the telephone and yet people are still wanting to drag them over the coals for something without ANY proof or facts implicating them. I don't think KS was a bad person but I would not have put up with drunk minors invading my peace either.

So TS said he did not know her well, that is probably true. And he may have been saying he did not hear the final disturbance when the police were again called. So I am not so sure he is not telling the truth.

Thanks for finding that article. I have read it before and kind of dismissed it because of the statement about boyfriend:
"Scott Stouffer said that one of the dogs belonged to his daughter and the other to her boyfriend, Bradley, who was not at the home last weekend."
Then the info about, oh yeah Bradley was there, he got taken off in handcuffs the first time the cops were there that night. After reading I just figured the journalist kind of did some sleepwalking during this write up. Just cashing a check IYKWIM.

OR he is telling the truth and there was NO disturbance after the police calls and all was quiet. Maybe she took off on foot to pick up her car and some drama happened away from the apartment. I get the impression she is somewhat fearless. I would love it if Bradley the beau would give some insight into KS and her history. I usually just throw everything the parents (not meaning specifically KS' parents, just parents in general) say out the window but I am not a professional, just curious.

I think we did. I think they said something about Kortne going off somewhere, deflecting attention, IMO. And not very well.

I'd like to know why all of these neighbors were apparently lying in wait.

Did they think 3:00 AM was a good time to have a friendly chat with Kortne about her behavior and neighborhood presence?

I think it's odd mostly because for the next 30 hours or so nobody saw anything. No one knows who went in & out, where Kortne's car was, who brought it back, if it was parked at the Gas Station.

The only thing they've offered is that Kortne walked away of her own accord. I find that an unusual statement since it's the ONLY statement. Why choose that and not 'wow, that was a weird night!'

They weren't sitting awake, when KS and CP returned to the apparment that night KS had began banging on the neighbors windows threatening them, that is when TS called the cops and came out to try to difuse the situation, KS swung at him and kicked at him from what i heard and CP stepped in between.

Really .. I think everyone is just looking at ALL angles as a possibility .. Isn't that really what this forum is here for? Police are not "above the law" just because they are "the law" .. Not all follow the law just because they took an oath to uphold it ... honestly I don't think specuating on LE's involvment is any different than speculating on MR's, CP's or any of the neighbors involvement OR the possibility that Kortne just walked away. At this point .. with NO information coming from LE, the media, the parents, their attorney, her friends .. minds are running rampant .. EVERYONE is accountable for their actions that night ...

Wasn't Drew Peterson LE? Where's Stacey?

ITA. I no longer trust someone simply because of the position they hold. As the lifelong friend of a woman who was shot and killed at almost point blank range by her LEO husband (who was very well respected in the community, but had a dark side almost nobody knew about), I keep all options open.

Not saying that LE had anything at all to do with Kortne's vanishing...just that i wouldn't rule them out just because they're LE. IMO, every element of this case needs to be looked at by another agency. Whatever happened to involving the FBI??
