"Schools and hospitals in the York County area have been locked down as emergency crews respond to the 'officer-involved incident'.

Dispatch calls suggest there have been multiple fatalities.
At least two officers are in serious condition as some were airlifted to be treated for their injuries.

Governor Josh Shapiro released a statement online shortly after the incident saying he is on his way to the area, and
'We ask those in the area to please follow the directions of local law enforcement and PA State Police'."

I have a few questions...
Why did they mention the Mexican community? Do you believe that this may be a hate crime?
Why would a consulate be called?
Do you think this could be ambush on the police similar to the one on firefighters recently?

I'm thinking drug cartel could be an additional possibility yet it remains unclear until we hear further details.

So horrified to hear about this shooting of more law enforcement personnel. Praying there are survivors. And praying for the families impacted.

Five officers! Someone committed this heinous crime over a warrant? What was the warrant for, do we know yet?

jmo
That's exactly my first thought, why would 5 officers be involved in serving a warrant? What is going on

That makes sense. Unfortunately, 3 officers are confirmed dead.

I have a feeling we don't know much, because it's still too dangerous to go there.

Could be completely wrong but it seems like there have been way more mass shootings of officers recently

I think five is a relatively normal amount of officers for someone who isn’t considered overly dangerous. I am sure if there were any indications that there could be violence there would have been a lot more on scene

I'm heartbroken for the loss of lives who were serving their community. It's such a gut punch that 3 lives were taken. Praying for their families, department and those who they have touched throughout the course of their employment. All of them are going to be dealing with a lot.

The Mexican Consulate said it was 'monitoring the incident that occurred this afternoon in North Codorus Township, Pennsylvania,' on X and that the 'Mexican community is advised to follow official instructions.'

The post has since been deleted.
Hmmm....

Rest in eternal peace to the law enforcement officers.
What a gut punch.
Prayers for the critical 4th one.
Just doing their job.
These are the people you call if someone's breaking into your house at night or if
you've been carjacked, etc.
We expect these officers to take a bullet for us if there's danger.

I'm thinking drug cartel could be an additional possibility yet it remains unclear until we hear further details.

That occurred to me as well.
Omo.

Thanks for sharing this link, @Dotta .
Noticed what looks like ginseng frames in the top photo, also other photos showed farm equipment.
A rural area ?
Curious what the warrant was for.
Obviously the police didn't expect that much danger.
Imo.

"The Department of Homeland Security is monitoring the situation,
Secreatary Kristi Noem has said.

'We are working with our interagency partners and will share more information as soon as it becomes available',
she posted on X.

'We are praying for the victims and their families.
This violence must stop'.

Three killed

Three officers were killed in the shooting,
officials confirmed at a news conference Wednesday night."

RIP :(

Law enforcement were following up on a “domestic-related” investigation that began Tuesday, Paris said. He said police are obtaining and serving more search warrants and are withholding information until receiving inventories for those warrants back.
