Even Christians get divorced, abuse their children and have affairs. Not to mention drink every day but Sunday, tell filthy jokes, have terrible hygiene etc. Having faith doesn't make you a good person. You have to walk the walk along with talking the talk. I don't know many who do on an every day basis.Kitty5001 said:Gay or not I believe that religion can and should be incorporated into everything, every subject and every choice that we make. Maybe the world would be a better place if it was. We certainly would not have split families and children bouncing back and forth between parents, more stability in the home and a greater tolerance and respect for their neighbors. Less drug addiction, alcoholism, abuse etc. if we just lived the way that God wanted us to the world would be loving.
I have issues with pushing Christianty on others. Why would your brand be better than what I've got? Who gets to choose? Isn't that the basic freedom we all want...to choose our own? And once again, why do Christians get to choose what we believe? And why should I subject my children to what you believe simply because you think it's best?
I know I sound angry, I'm not really. Just questions that come to mind every time I hear these statements. Same ones that would come to your mind if I said everyone should be a Jew I think. The why's and who's are not so black and white and prolly wouldn't solve a dern thing. I also never assume that anyone who goes to church is a good/bad person. I tend to judge people on how they treat me, my children, the girl at the supermarket, the person who serves them out in public and not by what comes out of their mouths.
