Not sure if this has already been posted but here is a blogger with some similar concerns for HHC's well being. She makes some valid points:

1. One-year rehabilitation clinics are not normal. And at this point there hasn't even been time for a thorough evaluation.
2. Why is she in isolation? This sounds like the solitary confinement of death row.
3. A legitimate therapist wouldn't normally tell a husband right after check-in that this is the worst case they had ever seen. And even if it is the worst case a particular therapist has seen, we've all heard about parents who kill or try to kill their children or spouse or themselves, which most certainly would be worse.
4. In another comment he says she is at an undisclosed out-of-state location. Why must this be so secretive? Why out of state?
5. When double-lives of well-known ministers are found out, does the wife confine her husband for a year in an undisclosed mental facility and then go public in a Sunday church service? Does she immediately announce she will not restore the marriage?

At this point there is an outpouring of prayer and good will for Ron, but where are the questions and the concern for his wife?

Attraversiamo:welcome: WELCOME TO WS!!! I thought you were a long time poster until today. I'm so sorry for the delayed welcome. :)

I'm really enjoying your posts and am so glad you've joined us. :)
To me, Hope talks like MANY native Texans in this area. I have a southern accent, but am not comfortable with hyperbole in my speech like she and a lot of Texans her age are. :)
I like it too!! I think her like-ability factor and also our sympathy for her in light of what a 🤬🤬🤬 she is married to figures into our desire to help so much.

This case has really blossomed more than some with people missing for years do. Great group of posters.

Just needed to say that I appreciate and love y'all. :loveyou:

What does not make sense to me is that if she has been in treatment for 3 weeks, how would the families have spent time 'talking to her' for 45 hours on Tuesday??
NO treatment center or Psychiatric facility would allow that!!!

I believe somewhere up thread that was corrected to "45 minutes". However, being that she is supposedly monitored every 15 minutes (according to him), that still seems incredulous.

I believe Hope is a native South Carolinian. In the Destiny Magazine article linked to in the very first pages of this thread, she says she was from Calhoun Falls / Abbeville area of South Carolina. Her parents now live in Greenville.

This is what is real hinky to me. She just spoke at a conference the end of Sept. She posted last on twitter around Oct 6th I think. He said she has been there three weeks but he doesn't skip a beat on twitter until Oct. 13th, which is when he gave the sermon.

https://twitter.com/roncarpenter

He tweets on Oct. 6th that she had a breakdown and bought doughnuts.

In his speeches he talks about the first 12 or so (can't remember exact) years of their marriage being like a fairy tale and says they never had a fight and then she changed. The people that I know that struggle with mental illness have done so most of their lives. I really don't know anyone where it has surfaced later in life with no signs before, unless they experienced some sort of trauma.

This is "one" of the reasons why I question his story about her mental health.
I believe Oct. 6 was probably the last time anyone heard from her. It would fit now with his timeline of her being at this facility for three weeks (as of this past weekend when he claims he took the children to see her).

Included in those tweets was a reference to her making apple cobbler. And she also binged on doughnuts? She didn't appear to be in any "crisis" while tweeting.

Also agree that any signs of mental illness would have manifested during the marriage and not have appeared suddenly this month after everything appearing normal up until now, including her public speaking.

Something happened on Oct. 6 after those tweets. Just not sure what.

Dear goodness, I hope that isn't true (that she's been scrubbed from the site) because it scares me even more for her safety, now if she's alive and in the next year if she has not voluntarily left to seek treatment .

How did she make an appearance this weekend if her children went to see her?
Or why would they go see her if she was there making an appearance? Can it be verified if Hope's family put that out there or is it what Ron says they said or linked to an online posting where the identity of who posted it can't be verified?

BBM. The post i read that on was from 2 weeks ago when this first happened. So it was in the immediate days before she disappeared.

Someone upthread posted link http://www.youtube.com/user/kephart180/videos
w Ron & Hope's testimonial about Shawn Kephart K-180 fitness program
based in Greenville SC & new location in Charleston SC.

Same youtube channel has ~17 other testimonial clips, all posted ~ 2 trs ago.
I don't recognize any names or pix. Anyone here know who they are (besides satisified customers)?
Church members? Local celebs? I wonder - multi-level marketing org?

http://www.k180fitness.com/default.aspx
Website offers personal trainers, frozen meals-delivered to your door, cookbooks, etc.

What kind of connection, if any, besides satisfied customers?

I just watched/listened to this message. I am sickened! This perfectly polished, highlighted hair, beautifully dressed, poised, well spoken man just preached a sermon that had NOTHING to do with God, but ALL about RON!

He invited his congregation to fill the empty seats. In short, he was asking for donations and help from those that thought him a God, even though he just stated the opposite.

....It's not about me, but it is about me, and it's about you and it's about God and it's about ME! BUT it's not about Hope, it's about me, and it's about you and it's about bringing in visitors, and it's about GOD!....

"I have a feeling God is creating a monster and he don't know it,"said Ron.

Looking for Hope on the RWOC Churches website and I did find that the 2014 Women's Cruise on the Carnival ships has a message in red that says NO LONGER HOSTED BY THE WOMEN OF HOPE.
http://rwoc.org/WOHcruise.aspx

Well, Hmmm.

The church directory still shows the Women of Hope still has the extension of 1282
http://rwoc.org/church-directory.aspx

Interesting comments at this link about Ron's integrity issues and that something that Ron had revealed in his "confession" had already been known by most church members from a few years ago.
( Edited to add link, sorry)

Did Hope ever have her own website for her women of hope ministry? I can't find it on the internet. I though there was one.

Ron makes my stomach curdle. He is so the BIG church guy he can't even stand himself I suspect. He said yesterday to HIS church, he told his children to stay away from church. Of course.

At this point all us 'none' 'his' church people just want is to hear from Hope. If we can't hear from Hope, the second best is her children. The fact that HE told them to stay away says a lot!

The whole shabang seems more like motivational speaking and writing careers instead of real preaching or church. I can't imagine many Christians really being afraid that their weaknesses will be used against them. Serious sins maybe, but not just everyday things that humans go through. If church is so important then why weren't his kids there. Where are they?
