Not a smoker are you, Seeker?
Tipper, thanks for the info. However you omitted this section
Conclusion: Ovarian cancer patients face an appreciable risk of recurrence in the first 5 years after second-look laparotomy with negative findings after platinum-based chemotherapy, but those who remain disease free at 5 years have excellent long-term survival rates. Tumor stage, grade, and presence of a residual tumor of more than 2 cm after initial surgery are significant predictors of recurrence.
Patsy was not "disease free" for 5 years if I remember correctly. This is in PA right? Patsy's initial treatment was at Bethesda, not in PA. She claimed she was part of a study at NIH in Bethesda in 1993-1994 and that's where she went for treatment. Might want to double check that, but I'm sure that's what she said on many interviews.
We don't know if Patsy was ever actually Stage IV. We only have her word for it. She was probably only Stage I or II. Saying "I had Stage IV ovarian cancer and was miraculously cured" is a lot more dramatic and everyone knows how Patsy loves drama.
I have strong doubts that John would have left Patsy to fly to treatments on her own if she was really fighting Stage IV. Unless he really is the "iceman"...
I KNOW you're not going to try and tell me that smokers are healthy...
Smoking impares ones health, even if the effects aren't felt for years and years after. Smoking causes cancer, emphazima, and a maryid of other lung disorders. People who smoke have a greater risk of catching diseases like tuberculosis, flu and the common cold (while smoking your body temp actually drops). People who smoke usually have sinus problems too.
BTW I was a smoker until I decided I was being stupid and paying big bucks just to harm and potentially kill myself. Of course I didn't have cancer and I certainly wouldn't have been stupid enough to smoke, or keep smoking if I had.
Camper, according to Lin Wood, Patsy is taking treatments in Atlanta, GA and staying with her father. She's not in MI and no info on her current treatment type is available.
