People being detained and "exported" by ICE

205 of those arrested had significant criminal convictions or charges. Six were foreign fugitives currently facing charges or convictions for murder, drug trafficking, organized crime, and money laundering

Law enforcement officials seized approximately 44 kilograms of methamphetamines, 5 kilograms of fentanyl, 1.2 kilograms of cocaine, three firearms and ammunition from illegal alien offenders during the operation.

And those are valid reasons to deport someone, as long as it's done the right way.

There's been other cases where it doesn't seem to be as justified.

I'm so glad that some of the wrongs from the last few years are being reversed. Many repeat violent criminals have been caught and deported.

Those are just a small sampling of articles from the ICE Newsroom:

It bothers me that some of the worst people seem to always come back- "deported 6 times"...the man who shot the woman on the CA pier had been deported 5x. They have "all the time in the world" to sneak back in. Killing of Kate Steinle - Wikipedia The academics are another kettle of fish IMO.

AG Bondi shared officials have been working on this operation for days and weeks. The suspect apprehended was the top leader of MS-13 for the U.S. East Coast.

"He is an illegal alien from El Salvador, and he will not be living in our country much longer."

A still-grieving mom whose daughter was allegedly raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant ripped the judges who put the brakes on President Trump’s deportation flights — and their Democrat enablers who’d rather “harbor” criminals than protect victims.
(…)
“I think this is just a weak attempt by Democrats and liberals to just stir up chaos and fear — which is the only thing they really know how to do,” she said.

“It really saddens me that all these politicians choose to harbor people that have committed federal crime.”

She continued: “I don’t understand. The law should be black and white, either you break the law or you uphold the law. There’s no gray area.”

This poor woman. I think it's so sad that a family's grief is being exploited to justify breaking our laws and uprooting the foundational principles of our Constitution.

The problem isn’t violent offenders being deported — a vast majority of Americans agree with that policy. The problem is that this administration is using that in order to abuse their power, and to harass and deport individuals who not only haven’t committed any violent offense; they haven’t committed any offense at all except for exercising their freedom of speech in a way that the Trump administration doesn’t like.

It’s also worth nothing that plenty of studies have shown that immigrants, legal or otherwise, are less likely to commit violent crimes than native citizens. They are not a group that is inherently more dangerous than anyone else in this country.

https://www.factcheck.org/2018/06/is-illegal-immigration-linked-to-more-or-less-crime/

Numerous other studies have found that immigrants overall — including those with legal status — do not commit crimes at a higher rate than non-immigrants, and that higher concentrations of immigrants do not lead to higher rates of violent crime.

The US/Mexican border is almost 2 thousand miles long. I don't think there's a surefire way to prevent violent criminals from re-entering

Hes going to keep amping up if he continues to do whatever he wants.

He now wants to send us citizens to el salvador for property destruction

President Donald Trump seemed to issue a warning to individuals who participate in Tesla vandalisms, as reports of destruction to vehicles, dealerships and charging stations surge across the country.

Early Friday morning, Trump posted on his social media platform: "People that get caught sabotaging Teslas will stand a very good chance of going to jail for up to twenty years, and that includes funders. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!!!"

He also suggested those found guilty of participating in Tesla-related crimes could be sent to prison in El Salvador, referring to the administration's controversial move to deport alleged gang members to the country after Trump signed a proclamation invoking the Alien Enemies Act even though a court order temporarily blocked the authority.

"I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla," Trump said in a posting. "Perhaps they would serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions."

Unfortunately it seems anytime a politician or news organization talks to or about victims of crimes committed illegal immigrants, they're accused of "exploiting" the victims and their families, even though they're the ones trying to talk about it. IMO these victims deserve to be listened to.

It's the arresting agency.
Yes, I'm aware of that. Which is why I have a healthy skepticism of the veracity of the information. I'm basing my position on prior information regarding Signalgate and the government chasing its tail trying to dismiss the information as not classified, the ping-pong nature of the on again, off again, on again tariffs, the complete and utter chaos of the dismantling, not trimming, of the workforce of the US government. You know, business as usual.

Are you referring to illegal immigration?
I don’t want to speak for anyone, but I believe they are saying the government is currently exploiting and sensationalizing any story about an undocumented person committing a crime in order to help push the narrative that every single person coming into this country illegally is a dangerous criminal and they deserve to be exported without due process. Hence the Laken Riley bill - I feel absolutely terrible for Lakens family and what happened to her is completely heartbreaking, but the truth is most violent crime in this country is committed by white men, not undocumented people. Why do we need to politicize a poor girls death and pass laws like this instead of cracking down on ALL violent crime.

I have no issue with legitimate arrests against individuals who are currently facing charges but those individuals are not representative of most of the people caught up in ICE's dragnet. So even these individuals facing charges have not gone to court. Is this the way to circumvent a trial, just say well they were up on charges anyway, lets dispense with the justice factor and ship 'em out?

No one said she shouldn't be listened to. But I fail to see how her grief proves any kind of point as to what's happening in the world. The assailant in her daughter's case is rightfully in prison. Other illegal immigrants should be deported after due process.

There's a reason we don't just sweep the streets and round up anyone walking around in hopes of finding the guy who committed a crime. We're a nation built on laws. We don't break those laws to insure others enforce them. That's hypocritical.

MOO.
