Joran, will not receive any type of leniency or plea bargain for information on Holloway.

sors..

Sooooooo, it's already started. Above link says he was pelted with rotten vegetables. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

He probably did not know to put the blanket over his head for fear of garbage. As far as hiding his face its a little too late for that, no purpose there.

  • #443
Thanks, but I did not see anything being thrown. Must have missed it.

That may not be the one I first watched. I just watched again and did not see anything this time. It was a link a couple pages back though. Maybe I am just seeing things now, you never know.

After watching the video of entering and garbage throwing, I must say I agree. Dear God how disturbing. An entire community wants to harm him. Dear God.

you reap what you sow

If he's being held in an isolated cell for his own protection, chances of him being killed would lessen, don't you think? Wonder if Stephanys family is hell bent on revenge, or justice?

I don't think isolation there is like isolation here. If they want him they will get him.

After watching the video of entering and garbage throwing, I must say I agree. Dear God how disturbing. An entire community wants to harm him. Dear God.

The entire community of Union, SC wanted to harm Susan Smith after she confessed to having killed her own children by rolling her car into a lake w/ the kids still strapped inside. I remember news footage of a whole lotta people screaming "baby killer" as she was being transferred from one place to another.
I think if they could have gotten their hands on her she would have been toast.
It happens more than we know, I bet. Americans are capable of the bloodlust for a killer just as Peruvians are. Only difference is, Susan Smiths prison accomodations are MUCH better than Jorans, I bet. JMO

Van der Sloot also told police, Guardia said, that when was captured on hotel surveillance video leaving his room to get coffee and pastries, Flores was already dead. Guardia said he believes van der Sloot ate his breakfast in the hotel room next to Flores' body.

His motive, Guardia said, was robbery.
"When he left his room that morning," Guardia said, "Joran took Stephany's cash, jewelry, credit cards, ID, and her car, which he abandoned a few miles away."

BBM

That exactly what I said a few days ago.

Van der Sloot was taken to the maximum-security Castro Castro prison where, for his own protection, he will have his own cell in a small block near the prison director's office, said prisons spokesman Bruno Guzman.

The only other two prisoners on the block are a reputed Colombian hit man charged with murdering a Peruvian businesswoman and a provincial mayor charged with laundering drug money

It was not yet known when the trial might begin. A judge must first be assigned to hear the case.

I think that is his way of being arrogant. He wants the crowd to see his face and acknowledge him. jmo

I agree he also seemed as if he were going to try looking straight ahead, then he seemed to walk fast as in getting scared or frightened.

Sending some sort of investigators to Peru to question him would go a long way in the beginning of repairing their reputation, IMO. If they do get a true confession and return to Aruba and find Natalees body, it would be wonderful for the Holloway family but I don';t think "we" will ever forget the BS that occured in Aruba, and it remains one of the places I would like to visit but never would, just because of their corrupt behavior concerning Natalee. It does look like a beautiful place and idyllic place to visit, but I wouldn't want to put one penny into their tourism business. jmo

me too....there are lots of pretty islands in the world. no need to support that place in any way.

i'll just bet their tourism industry has suffered, in part due to the fact that Natalie was from the Southeastern U.S., which normally provide them with many tourists.

I hope that Peru cares not a whit for JVDS's Aruban problem, and that they will not provide him with an Aruban junket based on more LIES LIES LIES.

They were hustling him in, not parading him as they did a few days ago when he was first brought back to Peru. jmo

Castro Castro -- here comes Joran!

  • #455
That's probably the last video we will see of Joran.
IMO

This is not my picture I found it on the web. Here is a picture of Jorans new home. http://www.flickr.com/photos/marcelo_montecino/4052117/page2/

I'd like to see a pic of his specific cell. And know what he's in store for, hows the food, will he be let out every day for recreation, will he get psychological counseling (as IF that would help him, HA! I think hes a psycho for life) and will he get the perks Americans get, like radio and TV, access to newspapers, etc? What about visitors? How often will he be allowed visitors?
That's what I want Jean Casares to find out and report on!!

They all have a "scarf" of some kind, it appears. Maybe that's their prison-issued "blanket". Crowd goes wild when Joran comes out of the van. Wonder if he is scared to death? He should be. jmo

abbie

They gave him a "security blanket." I'd bet anything that's the bedding provided for their prision stay.

"Police say van der Sloot smashed in the face of Lima business student Stephany Flores, whom he met playing poker at a casino, after taking her to his hotel room on May 30. They say he then strangled her, threw her to the floor and emptied her wallet.
If convicted on the murder and robbery charges, van der Sloot would be sentenced to between 15 and 35 years in prison, court spokesman Luis Gallardo told The Associated Press."

Disturbing is the perfect word.

ETA: As much as I want him to serve as long as the law allows...I can't revel in any torture he may have to endure.

If I'm remembering right it might be called humanity - something I'm thankful still exists, at least to some extent, in the United States.
