This one looks odd --- I have since googled to see if there are other sources backing up this ''story'' but cannot.....

we went through this yesterday with a different website
they are using that title to garner hits but the actual text of the article is just a rehash of other stuff - nothing about NH, unfortunately

Okay, I just woke up and our local news (in US, not Peru, lol) said Joran knows where Natalee is buried and will ONLY tell Aruban authorities. I am looking for the wording in more news now. This steams me, but I hope Peru makes him do his time there no matter what deals he thinks he can create. What makes him think an Aruban authority cannot come to Peru?

ETA: Not much up on it yet. I think this may be old news. Apparently he let it slip in interrogation that he knows where N is and will tell Aruba. I think he was bargaining before they nailed him to the wall with evidence, and now the extortion has been exposed. So this may be nothing new and just keeping the story hot. IDK.

He is so trying to get sent back to Aruba here onto the safety and protection of home soil. Not going to happen, if he wants to direct them he can use a map!

Yep. Echos of Casey Anthony wanting to get permission to go out of the area to "search" for Caylee. He wants to get out of the country. He can Skype Aruba for God's sake if that was is real purpose. This isn't the pony express days.

Shuts the door, jiggles the handle, then knocks some more. All while holding 2 obviously empty coffee cups and a plastic-wrapped food item. All in front of a security camera.

Perhaps someone can find a previous Peruvian story (badly translated) that I read earlier that appears to say that VDS planned on packing the body in his suitcase (I thought it even implied that he HAD put her inside one and then taken her out) and taking the body out of the motel, but changed his mind when he realized that if the front desk saw him leaving with luggage that they would ask him to pay for the nights he owed? I can't remember where I read it, but it was badly translated.

Something that probably has nothing to do with anything, but that I find odd... she was supposedly on her period- wasn't there mention of a sanitary napkin?- yet she'd been playing in the casino until 5 in the morning with nothing other than a small coin/bill sized purse? Where the heck was she stashing her tampons/pads? The pants she was wearing looked awfully tight. Maybe it's just a girl things, but I can't help wondering how she pulled that off. I'm pretty sure if I was on my period, been up all night with no supplies and a tiny purse, I'd want to shower right away- maybe that's why she was only in her underwear when he got back with the coffee... because she'd just showered?

Just my thoughts.

When I first watched the coffee video earlier this morning, you could have bowled me over. For days we have been talking about that video and why we haven't seen it yet and to finally get it and to see Joran coming out of the room with the coffee containers was quite a shock. I wish they showed him going into the room so that we could see how much time elapsed before he turned on his heels and walked out again, ready to put the perfect crime into action, except for the darn video camera.

Ok, I just had three different scenarios/theories typed out and deleted them. I'm on no sleep and sludge for coffee so I'm not sure it would be advisable to post what I'm thinking. LOL

However, I will post this much. There's something that bothers me about his supposed confession re: robbing her. He could've done it after they left the casino, while sitting in her jeep or pulling her into an alley while walking. Why, if he planned to do it, would he pass up those opportunities and attempt it after she's in his room, where it would be easier for him to be heard and caught?

According to his version, three hours later at 8:20 in the morning, he left the room due to the tap Primax located across the street. He bought bread and two cups of coffee. The cameras do not record the output.

IMO, Joran is just hoping that he'll be released to Aruba. If Aruban authorities have any decency at all, they will go to Peru & question Joran there. If Joran can produce Natalee's body, I wouldn't have any problem with him receiving some special considerations..............like being able to use a real toilet once a month, 1 good meal every 6 months, & being housed where only the smallest rats are located.

Yeah, I don't know. I watched the vid again. It looks like he's stoned. And what's up with those weird limp wristed taps on the door? It looks like he doesn't even know what he's doing.

I think we are trying to make the illogical ( a person's actions after they do an illogical action of actually taking another person's life) logical. I do think JVS is an intelligent person, just not the brightest bulb in the room when he has himself in a jam caused by his uncontrollable emotions.

The only think I could say upon viewing this video was "WOW" also. You really have to realize you are watching the actions of someone who just literally took another's life. Mind boggling.

I do have two questions after getting caught up from the last thread.

1. Does anyone know or remember if JVS had purchased his tickets for SA before May 10th or was it after?

2. Does anyone think anythink unusal about the 2 guys at the casino talking to JVS as SF goes to cash her chips in? They were over to the left, in corner. First it was just one and they the one talks to the other...If you get my drift... Sorry, it's late, or I should say early. Tired.
