I am not seeing Stephany cashing in her chips in this video. All I see in this video is Joran with the coffee cups etc. It could very well just be me not seeing it.

I'm guessing he will never tell. And he lies so much, if his story is he dumped her in the sea, we will never know if thats true of not. He's a gambler and the Natalee truth is his ace in the hole. There has to be some button on Joran that can be pushed to get him to speak the truth, everyone has a button. Bet his mom knows how to get him to come clean, but if she doesn't believe he's guilty of the crime she will never ask him. jmo

I don't think he will ever tell either. I do think he will use this for as long as possible to get back at BH. He is evil to the core. He couldn't possibly think this will help him in Peru...he is dumb but not stupid.

LIMA, June 11 (UPI) -- A Peruvian police official says homicide suspect Joran van der Sloot told investigators he knows the location of the body of missing U.S. teen Natalee Holloway.

But Miguel Canlla, head of the Peruvian national police investigative unit, told CNN Thursday van der Sloot, 22, would not reveal the location or say what happened to Holloway, the Alabama student who disappeared in 2005 while on a high school senior class trip to Aruba.

Wish someone of quality and believeability would start a show,I nominate Jean Casares or Beth Karras. Responsible, true journalism with a law background. How refreshing would that be? now please dont anyone take this the wrong way - but at the moment in this case about sf i dont think that the pnp should be considering anything about nh.... not that it is not important (because it very much is) but because of his past history of compulsive lies about nh and her whereabouts that he should NOT be able to confuse the situation by planting the nh lies into this investigation... turning it all sideways and taking it as far away from the true issue at hand that he killed sf and needs to pay the price for that - that is what is at hand NOW. i dont think he is EVER going to tell the truth about nh - it is in his best interest to be able to manipulate people and situations with it and he would not be able to do that anymore if she were to ever be found...he makes me ill. all moo

That makes perfect sense! But, I think only if he had planned on not being able to get back in the room...apparently he did not mean to get locked out or did he???? Man we need some news here,lol.

I'm leaning toward he meant to lock himself out so the maid would find the body. The coffee/danish was supposed to be his alibi. I paused the video a few times and this is what I saw:

-he comes out of the room looking around
-knocks on the door twice
-notices the door is not closed completely, therefore it's not locked, then pulls the door shut
-continues looking around, circling, knocking, then notices the camera

Just my interpretation of the video.

ITA. One does, but does not, have anything to do with the other. Let him take his lumps in Peru, if he wants to come clean on Natalee, thats good for him but should have NO bearing on what happpens to him in Peru. If they do allow him to use natalee as a bargaining chip for time he might get in Peru, I am going to be very disappointed.
I am not religious but spiritual, I believe in karma. But he will meet his higher power someday so he oughta come clean now because that day may come sooner than he thinks if he is thrown in one of those scary Peruvian prisons.
I don't wish anyone harm but I think hes got some pretty bad karma coming his way and he needs to clear his conscience asap. JMO.

He said the husky Dutchman grabbed Flores and smashed her with an elbow before strangling her and throwing her to the floor of his room.

The general said Van der Sloot took Flores' cash, about $300 worth of Peruvian currency, two credit cards and her national ID card.

Guardia said Van der Sloot attested to killing Flores because she found out about the Aruba case by using his laptop without his permission while went out for coffee.

But he said police do not necessarily believe him and think he may have killed Flores before going out and returning to the hotel room with two cups of coffee and rolls.

Col. Miguel Canlla, chief of homicide investigations, told the AP that Van der Sloot took off his shirt after strangling Flores and put it on her. He said the Dutchman wanted to put her body into a suitcase but couldn't.

"He is cold, calculating and cynical," Canlla said.

I believe an earlier TV report indicated that the gas station / grocery where he bought the coffee did not have cameras. That's what I took this to mean. MOO
