To me it is really obvious that this girl didn't want to have sex with Joran and he flipped his wig. I think he thought he was going to sleep with her and get some money from her.

I will go back to my original theroy that she woke up to an assault or robbery and he beat her to death, but not before he showed her who he really was. Not before he terrified her and saw the look on her face.

He's a sadist and a killer and I beleive they will find ghb in her system.

A Flores owning the casino would explain how the family viewed the video so quick.

A thought I also had when reading the father owns the casino, is that Stephany is well aware of all the cameras and probably would not have slipped Joran anything "illegal".

It is my understanding that Stephany's father is a former race car driver, beloved in Peru, also ran for president twice (after racing career), Owns many properties (do not know about the Casino specifically, and am unaware of the circus promoter info.

Perhaps Joran is trying to get back to Aruba to avoid prosecution by the Peruvian Government. I wonder if he would get amnesty in Aruba where he would avoid all criminal charges by the U.S. and Peru. Aruba and the Netherlands justice system have already given him a free pass to live in Aruba.
He can dodge all criminal charges if he is protected by the Dutch Government while hopping to their Dutch Occupied Countries.

Joran seems to think he is Untouchable.

Wonder why he left Aruba in the first place? He could have stayed there and gambled the rest of his life. Was he planning on running for the rest of his life, scamming people and robbing along the way? He apparently did not have worldwide notariety, only one who recognized him, apparently, was the one guy who alerted security (to no avail). I always assume if s big news to us, the rest of the world knows too. But there are people right here in the US that know nothing about cases like Casey Anthony and only passing knowledge of Natalee Holloway. Being a true crime nuts, that just baffles me.

Joran is a pathological liar - I think his statements that he can take Aruba LE to where Natalee's remains are is another act of cruelty on his part. He's just playing, knowing what it does to her mother and family, and he enjoys it. I think he'd also sell his soul (if he still has one) to get reduced time. He's not motivated by any guilt, he's motivated by fear of staying in prison.

He'd have to come up with an X-marks-the-spot-map with actual results before I'd give him any leeway.

eta: the first few min of this video are not new, its what we saw yesterday. I didn't look at the whole thing...sorry if its just a rerun of what we've already seen...

I watch this video and I see a kid having to size up everything and everyone...looking for an opportunity and always ready to negotiate.... very intelligent but not very smart... he doesn't see that what he's "sizing up" has any intelligence at all... very typical of psychopathic behavior... I wonder what happened in his early childhood and in his family to develop such a monster...I believe both nature and nurture.. It's a shame but there is no chance of rehabilitating a personality disorder... This one will be for the textbooks folks...

It seems like it. He needed money. A job? Pfft. The extortion angle was easier for him, IMO. Maybe he knew he had to get the hell outta dodge after that to avoid being extradited?

I think that too. It wasn't for sex as Stephany was an out lesbian, and it wasn't for him to show her any fancy card tricks, as she was a better player than he was. I think it was to smoke a joint, or some other drugs.
How can someone land in a new city and score drugs so easily? Joran didn't carry his drugs on him when he flew from place to place, did he? So he just walked into a neighborhood and bought his weed and coke, or whatever.... he was pretty fearless. Why didn't he just stay in the Netherlands and gamble, bum around? Isn't pot pretty much not a big deal in the Netherlands? Seems like he could have been in hog heaven if he had just stayed there, not to mention protected legally...jmo
