Dave sent someone (Golba?)to search after this witness came forward and nothing was found, but I read that it was one of the places TM was going to search again.
Thanks so much ~ I thought it had already been searched.

Thanks for this info....I wonder if we really know who is paying his attorney.....and why in the hello have they not gone into his computer yet:banghead:

Sorry, just now read back up about computer info...my bad please excuse.

In this article Maximo Altez refers to whom is paying him.

snipped.

This was questioned by a maximum term Highness, attorney for Van der Sloot, who, although he said no more, "declared by an order of the family of the Dutchman, who had hired - estimated that the election of the new court would be made public in 10 days.

I also liked when Mark Fuhrman said JVDS has a typical wife beater mentality. He's just never been married.
I like everything Mark says. ;)

You must read my theory as to why I think he is in Peru and what the prison is so isolated.

I'd love to read it. Is there a post you can refer to me?

The only video I have seen, shows him coming out of the room with two coffees, looking around, and knocking on the open door. Then closing the door, knocking, looking, and then getting someone to let him in the room. Is there another video?

Same one I just saw on Geraldo. My main comment was directed to the fact that he had on the red shirt. So, I think she was already dead and he had not gone for coffee for the two of them.

I hope so...There are many ponds in the Monserrat Pond area.
This is the area of the "Lion's Den", etal.

I agree, at least he's accurate!!
So true!! Probably from being a homicide detective, and he did take meticulous notes when he was one. :)

I also think she was already dead. Just making sure that was the video, thank you.

Geraldo: in Aruba now discussing the night Natalee disappeared, with Craig talking to someone who saw Joran without his shoes and a Jeep with a white top. The man is describing a middle-aged man driving the Jeep and Joran sitting next to him. The man is saying he didn't come forward because he was concerned, afraid, because of the two security guards initially wrongly accused. Craig says his "witness" originally came forward in 2008, LE didn't believe him, so he went to Tim Miller and took a polygraph with "no deception" noted. Witness hasn't received any money.

More on Joran later.

The witness also said he was concerned about his father (Paulus) since he was a lawyer and studying to become a judge and that Paulus' best friend was the the chief of police (Van der Stratton) at the time.

Good show tonight!

(panthera, thanks for all the transcribing you do for us!)

Many serial killers display one or more of what are known as the "MacDonald Triad" of warning signs in childhood. These are:

  • Firestarting, invariably just for the thrill of destroying things
  • Cruelty to Animals. Most children can be cruel to animals, such as pulling the legs off of spiders, but future serial killers often kill larger animals, like dogs and cats, and frequently for their solitary enjoyment rather than to impress peers
  • Bedwetting beyond the age when children normally grow out of such behaviour

Me too. Did you hear Geraldo say that for murder with robbery, a life sentence is possible? Before I heard him say that I had thought the maximum sentence was 35 years. For someone like Juran who is in his 20's, there's a big difference between these two sentences.

Just caught up after several pages and I'm confused on the coffee issue. Has there been another video released of JVS leaving the room without coffee and coming back with coffee?

It is beginning to dawn on me that there was probably no trip to get coffee at all. Just that one video to pretend that Joran had left the TAC as an concocted alibi. The Peruvian LE tricked him by withholding that video and let Joran hang himself with his bogus confession. Maybe he was hoping that the video camera only recorded 24 hours of so and then recorded right over it. That is why they know, it is not true about the laptop invasion of privacy resulting in a crime of passion etc., etc. And subsequently he got charged with murder and robbery.

I just heard a doctor referring to this as the Sociopath's Triology today.

I bet all involved are being very careful with the information found on the computer and that Peru is sharing anything that is there with the FBI (who would be the advocate for Beth) and whoever (Aruban officials?) they deem important. For instance, maybe the computer holds info as to where Joran has been (Thailand) and further research is being done pertaining to those places. Maybe the computer holds a wealth of information that if leaked, would do damage to any further investigations that may be underway.

One can only hope. I don't think they are not allowed to look within the computer though - that is some sort of a delay tactic so everything can be examined closely and thoroughly imo.

Stephany's father says on his interview that there was a receipt for the coffee from the gas station with the date of May 30 but no time. He also said that Joran did not show up at the casino until 2:01 am and Stephany came in at 2:36. I don't know if there is any more video we have not seen re the coffee or not. The Guardia guy says he never went out for coffee--just pretended to. So confusing.

You're most welcome! I also realize Geraldo doesn't provide transcripts so anyone who misses the show wouldn't know what went on. :)

I know Jean C, from HLN News said that the coffee cups were full. But in the video it looks like to empty cups that JVDS probably grabbed out of the trash can-
