Good Morning America just now...

John Cajones at Castro Castro says JVS has decided not to give any interviews unless he's paid for them. (I guess nothing ever changes, eh?)

Says some of the other prisoners say his crime might be seen as a perverse 'badge of honor'.

Says Anita VDS is expected to arrive in Lima (perhaps later today) and part of the reason for her visit is to find him a new lawyer.

Promoting the upcoming interview with ex-girlfriend, Melody Guardia. (Just another person trying to cash in on their 15 minutes of fame, IMO.)

BBM

What? Are you allowed to run a business inside Castro Castro now - unbelievable!

I think JVDS is going to do just fine in the Peruvian prison system. He's a big bloke, violent, cunning, and he doesn't give a f***. He'll probably end up running the joint.

Has anyone heard the time between the moment they entered the rm & he went for coffee? Just curious about how long until he killed her after they got inside. I say immediately...?

Here is a slideshow of pictures starting when they arrived at his hotel room and when Joran left the hotel with his baggage.

I thought in his confession he stated that he hit her a half hour after they got to his room..

I explained that I was five years ago was arrested, I was suspicious of the disappearance of the girl. That was half hours after we had entered 309.

As I said, she hit me on my head with her left fist.

Sorry I'm new ...never posted on here before....I just thought from the confession it was a half hour..

I'm new as well ... Welcome Aboard ... this is the best forum ever!

Haven't read all of the posts so this may be explained already, if so, sorry! The video in the casino and at the hotel show her in black pants, but the pictures of her clothing show a pair of blue jeans. She didn't take a bag into the hotel so is my monitor making the jeans look black?

Good catch! I never gave that a thought! Is there a possibility that she also left the room, went to her car and came back???

Stephany was definitely wearing a black top and black pants....in both casino and hotel videos.....and she certainly wasn't carrying anything so were did those jeans come from???

Was she in his room before and left a change of clothes there?

If this monster wants more money for interviews..........I SAY NO!
He will use the money to buy friends in Castro Castro!
Also hurt his EGO by saying NO ONE wants to hear from YOU!
I bet his mom does the same thing..........money for her boy man.

On all the videos I've seen of Natalie at the casino and hotel, I would have sworn she was wearing black slacks.

But, you can definitely see at 1:10 of this video at the casino that she WAS wearing jeans.

Thank you, FLNY. Good catch! I was wondering if it was a case of how her pants showed up on the tapes because I just couldn't get on board with her bringing along a change of clothes.

I thought the exact same thing when watching Jean C last night at Castro Castro.
He is now in with his 'element' and will be as charming as he always is.
The prisoners say he is 'one of them'.

However, I absolutely think that cell was cleaned up before the crew went in.
Nice comfy mattress, (blanket was the one he had draped over his shoulders in previous videos) hooks for clothing, bible, toothpaste, books for his down time - reading, even a pair of flip flops between the toilet and his cot.
2 visitors, his attorney who now says he's on the case and a religious man who visits all the Netherland prisoners several times a year.

Out of 10 cells in solitary, only 2 are filled.
CLOWN - AND PSYCHO.

He'll be as comfortable as Casey is in her cell.......with not a care in the world.

Both are the King and Queen of Jail Cells:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Yes I just replayed that video.....she is wearing jeans.....but I think what threw us was the jeans they photographed looked to be a very light blue instead of darker.....

Thanks so much. I lurked a lot on a couple of other sites and this one years ago during the first JVS case, and just started posting on this one recently. I must say the people on WS are generally unfailingly kind to each other. On some of the other sites the posters seemed to take a lot of joy in constantly dissing the people involved in the investigation, the families, the media, and each other. Criticism is ok and part of the discussion. The gratuitous nastiness was very unpleasant. Thanks all.

I am at work and just had to reply to Nana's knock knock joke earlier. Joran camera immediately made me think----------smile, Joran candid camera!

:floorlaugh: A little levity helps.

I mentioned this a few days ago, but it seems worth repeating now, in light of the additional 'coffee' photos and timeline. Although, I admit it may be totally insignificant in the overall scheme of things.

There is another statement in his confession document which I have not seen or heard discussed anywhere:

Right after the murder, he says "Then I thought: now what? I left the hotel but the receptionist told me I had to move the car. I went back to room 309. I wanted to flee the hotel. I grabbed my two bags and I drove away with the car."

This indicates that he walked out of the hotel prior to when he see him on the video leaving with this two bags.

I had understood that the car was left in the hotel parking lot when he and Stephany arrived.

So, either he lied about this (how could that be?? LOL) or we are still missing another exit and entrance between when the employee unlocks his door at 8:39:46 and when he leaves the room with luggage at 8:56:45...a gap of about 17 min.

Just some more food for thought, WSers!

A comment on Stephany's walk: the shoes she was wearing almost remind me of the old men's tennis shoes from years ago with absolutely no arch supports. I know they're new because they are blue and brown striped and not the basic white. I know if I put a pair of those on I would be "clomping" when I walk especially on cement flooring. They are not a comfortable walking shoe. JMO

Thank you Doobiedoo!!!!!! A laugh relieves stress sometimes I think....I am so glad you got the joke....it is only funny (at least to me) if you pronounce Joran as Yoran,lol.........as you're on camera,lol.....thanks again...was afraid I might get pelted with a pen at my attempt at levity in the late nite hours, lol.

Talking about how tall Joran is. WTH! My son is 6'5 and 290!!!

Your son is very handsome, Patty. :) Thanks for posting the picture.

  • #978
Well Patty. I saw the picture of your son and I can only say 'Yowza!' Good googly-moogly, that is one good-looking man.

OK guys, I can't help it. I agree Joran is no angel, lies to suit the story, and probably a murderer, but I am having a problem with a few things here. Please tell me I'm not crazy. We see him with the coffee cups, knocking, and later leaving the hotel. He does not seem to have any injuries on his hands or is in any pain. Compare that to the shot of his swollen hand when he is taken to the prison. I have to wonder how voluntary his confession really was. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Well, I have never beaten anyone but have injured myself a couple of times. It took a while before the swelling and pain were evident. I think he was so scared, he talked and talked...JMO
