On the MSNBC Video.....the inmate called the place ELEGANT......they even grow roses which are outside the cell block where Joran is residing....so the view is pleasant even though he can't see it. He'll just have to take our word for that.

So aside from everything else.......it seems he's staying in a 5 Star Prison....LOL at that one.

Actually, I broke my ankle in my 40's- 31/2 years ago. The pain from the break was only momentary, then the pain got excruciating from the swelling. It happened while I was ice skating. I knew something unnatural had happened (I knew I couldn't stand and skate off the ice), but not that it was broken until I got the x-ray. The only screaming I did was to yell for people to get my skate off.
It was a major break, in two places. I didn't go into shock.

I am really glad for you that you didn't experience the level pain that I witnessed in the passer-by that I mentioned in my post. Her foot was at a most ''unnatural angle to her ankle'' (makes me feel uccky thinking of it). She was talking and then very much unable to speak and went totally white. I am glad that you were ok.

This isn't the Natalee forum, so we shouldn't delve too deeply into that case here. However, I certainly don't think that powerful forces are in the habit of just arbitrarily picking on random 17 year olds. Obviously, if Joran was set up in Peru, it was because of his connection to the Holloway case. I think there are people who are heavily vested in demonizing this kid for Natalee's disappearance, and will not rest until he is punished for it.

I don't pretend to understand anything about Joran. I will say that, despite his habitual lies, he has never confessed to killing Natalee. The stories he told involved him getting rid of her body when she died accidentally, selling her into slavery, and her falling off a balcony. As for confessing to killing Stephany, clearly I don't believe Joran ever willingly did that, as he is now claiming himself. I am just as certain that he never "confessed" anything to the Peruvians about Natalee Holloway, either.

Again, I don't have all the answers. All I can do is analyze the evidence. I have strong doubts about everything that has come from the Peruvian authorities so far. The ultimate answer to why Joran was framed for this murder will probably only come if those responsible for framing him are ever exposed. That isn't likely to happen, at least not through the efforts of American journalists.

I think that his mother is finally coming to terms with what Joran has done in Peru. Those that have known him have stated he was a loose cannon that exploded when things didn't go his way. In his confession he admitted he snapped. Lets face it, he is a danger to the general public of young rich females on thier own, and he needs to finally be accountable for his sins and pay a price. I really do hope someone is able to get into his mind and help him. He is young and intelligent and it would bother me immensely if he was just written off as his mother seems to be doing. Not that I blame her in a way because she has had it very tough with him. Very sad it has come to what it is.

JQK has stated that the first email he received from JVS was on March 20th this is 2 months and 10 days before the 5 year anniversary of NH dead (IMO) I feel that JVS was so angry at BH and desperate for money that he would have done just about anything to get money from BH...I think in his delusion mind he already knew that if he did get money from BH that he was going to book it out of Aruba (because I think the crooked ALE tipped him off that the FBI was onto him) I think that this further infuriated him and he had it in his mind that there would be a girl any girl in his room the night of May 30th 2010...It has been stated in interviews that JVS was speaking in very derogatory ways about women in Sat night May 29th and that he was looking to hook up with someone (again I think this was a ruse to get a girl in his room for the intentions of killing her....Knowing full well that it would destroy BH that her money took him somewhere to kill another innocent girl....And I am sure that he has accomplished this goal...

2. In the 2008 interview with GVS he clearly stated that he was no longer on good terms with his parents he said this was of his choosing, I think he had extorted money from his parents with the threat of saying that PVS is the one who disposed of NH body as well as paying off high ranking officials (which I truly believe he did) But his dad also knew that just the accusations of this could mean the end of his political career, I this that PVS as well as AVS went along with this for quite some time until they decided to pull the plug on this ruse and that is when JVS contacted GVS to sell another set of lies to her, But I do think there were small grains of truth weaved into that interview....

3. I think that before as well as after the death of PVS in Feb 2010 AVS had JVS number and she no longer financially supported him therefore giving him another woman to have rage against.

4. I think that it is possible that JVS since he had met SF a few says earlier may have exchanged phone numbers, and once she dropped her friends off he may have called her saying that he needed to borrow some money until he could get back to his room because he did not want to leave the table at that time, I do think that when the handshake at the casino went down that SF did slip him a chip, Then they played a few more hours and he may have told her hey come to my room so I can pay you back and I can also show you how to play online poker (the info that will come off of his laptop should be priceless) I think he knew darn good and well that his plans were to kill and rob her since I think he had planned to kill another woman on that date for quite some time...

5. Now as we have seen today from the photos this was a very brutal overkill of SF I think the rage that was coming out of him was a buildup of his hatred of NH, BH & AVS and that is why it was such a ravage murder...

6. I think it speaks volumes that AVS is not willing to go to Peru to see her son, she knows that he is guilty as homemade sin, And I bet in the back of her mind she knows he also killed NH but because of all the underhanded payouts that went down with PVS there is no way in hell she will ever admit it...

7. The only way that I will ever believe that the ALE are serious about solving the NH case is if the finally issue a search warrant on the attached apartment that JVS had when NH disappeared as well as a warrant to go Thur the JVS home and also get a court order to look at there finances during the time that NH went missing, I have always felt that if they followed the money they could uncover all of the corruption that has occurred in this case, but once again since they won't even go to Peru until Aug/Sep it is pretty obvious that they have never been and are still not interested in solving this case, Hell they could offer the Kalpoe brother immunity and probably get a treasure trove of info from them...The problem is now it is like don't ask don't tell, they have there heads buried in the sand where it has been firmly planted for 5 years...

And all the conspiracy talk on here just blows my mind, to me that is all just white noise that I have decided to ignore....

Regarding the Dutch translator, the video of Joran asking out loud, "This only says that I understand my rights, correct?" seems to indicate that he wasn't exactly doing his job, doesn't it?

Joran didn't make up this excuse later on, there is video of him saying it before he signed the "confession" that he evidently thought was merely an admission that he understood his rights.

Undoubtedly, like here, the beginning or ending of a statement has a "rights disclaimer," which was the paragraph that he was referring to with that question. Surely you don't think he was asking if the whole 12-page document was a gigantic statement of his rights? Moreover, JVS understands Spanish very well, as we can also see in the videos.

I've answered every question posed to me, as best I can. Much of what I believe has to be conjecture (for instance, I have no access to the uncut video tapes). I'm merely analyzing the evidence, like all of you. In my assessment, the "evidence" against Joran is full of holes.

Imho, we have a lot of reasonable doubt here.

Many of us tell the housekeeping staff at hotels not to clean our room every day. While that's a very common practice, it is certainly not routine for hotels to leave a room unchecked for three days after the person renting it has left. Whether Joran officially checked out of the hotel or not, he left without paying in advance. What hotel would reserve a room for someone who hasn't paid for it?

Not to draw business. It wasn't good for Joran to refuse to talk/answer quesitons on the 21st. His lawyer claims it was invalid, and what comes now, that a case will be built on evidence gathered. Joran and his lawyer had their chance and blew it, literally. Peru system. They don't play around.

Joran doesn't understand Spanish well, this is why all the early reports made a big deal out of Stephany speaking English, which is apparently how they were able to communicate. He does speak Papamiento, spoken by Arubans, fluently, and it is similar to Spanish.

All I know is that the video snippet we've seen (I saw it during ABC's morning report yesterday about Joran retracting his confession) shows him saying this while signing papers. Originally, we were told that there was video of him confessing. That hasn't been released, and never will be released, imho, because he never confessed.

Who knows what Joran thought he was signing? I understand that most people don't believe anything he says.

Actually, it was my understanding that he was a "judge in training", which he never received the full judgeship (as you pointed out above).

Yes. AVS seems to be as credible a historian as JVS. It was also my understanding that PVS never got a judgeship. He retired as an attorney just before he died. Perhaps that's translation error on AVS's part, but her stories about JVS are not. AVS can't seem to decide if JVS began being a lying, stealing, violent predator before or after NH, even though he was seeing a psychologist/psychiatrist long before NH came along. Sociopathy does not begin at 17.

Castro Castro was referred to as elegant to the MSNBC reporter who visited there......also noted was the fact that only certain carefully picked inmates were allowed to speak about how nice the prison was.....growing roses, all having wonderful food, etc.
I guess they must think of it as a 5 Star Hotel....ya know on the lines of the Ritz Carlton. LOL
