The pictures published by National Enquirer were re-creations of the crime scene based on a variety of reports. They did NOT show the real crime scene.

You are absolutely correct, I.B. Reading from my purchased copy, the actual wording in the red box on top of NE photos says "Police File Re-Creation". The text portion of the article states, "From multiple sources, the NE was able to reconstruct death scene photos and uncover the events surrounding the murder, based on the police investigation."

FYI - anyone who still may be wondering if the NE photos are real...They are NOT real.

With the blood splatters here & there on walls, etc. I am curious if as he took his shirt off, all the fresh much blood slung all over the place.

He really beat the you know what out of her, pure evil!

Keep in mind these photos are at least 3 days after she was killed and the body went into rigamortis at one point.

Not to forget (gruesome) decomp. The first pic of her hand is almost unrecogonizable as a hand. Still the attack was unrelentless and it appears he just did not stop assaulting her. I also wonder if after he killed her he moved her to a place in the room where he could not see her and tried to hide the body from view. I think this could have caused addtional injury as well as spreading the blood around even more.jmo

We need that autopsy report for sure to clarify her injuries.

I wish the words were clearer on the diagram (attached). I think the words indicate bruises.

I know that JC said last night that the psych report that they had been given on Joran was brand new and just released, but I swear I have heard that reported before. Does anyone else think they have heard it before? tia

For the first time Anita van der Sloot goes on TV. She says in the interview about his childhood, how he managed to escape parental control and many lies. Also she explains how she has experienced over the past five years, the disappearance of American Natalee Holloway in Aruba to the murder of Stephany Flores in Peru. What does the future they Joran, and how she sees her son as a mother now?

I was thinking about the discussion last night about email on facebook. I'm wondering if they might actually have been playing poker on the game site on facebook--letting him practice or whatever and he got an instant message and not an email--those pop up while you are playing games. With all the translation issues between Dutch, Spanish and English maybe he meant that instead. If that is the case, can you imagine how the person who might have noticed him online and sent the message because of Natalee's disappearance exactly 5 years ago must feel? Knowing they triggered a violent reaction? According to JVS psych report, it is entirely possible. Just a thought.

I still think that whole story about Stephany reading an e-mail or instant message is bogus. Joran used that as his first excuse as to why he killed Stephany, or was it the second excuse after the one about the policemen that robbed them. Wait a second he recants the confession so that means it did not happen anyway.

I think he killed her for the money.

I hope we can see it soon on video...or atleast hear every word she says.
Think we're finding out that JVDS's whole family has lived in darkness & guilt over the last 5 years.
The dad couldn't live any longer with the guilt...perhaps.

Your right on with the shoes and blood found in the hallway or outside of his room. ETA, and we viewed the 8:13 picture with the cigarette as he came out of that room and probably left shoe prints as he headed to the lobby.

I was going on the wording from the post I quoted.

Yes, it would be the hallway outside of his room as he went to walk to the lobby to get the coffee. I don't think the floors have carpeting, so if he stepped out and they hadn't mopped the floor, the blood would still show up. It may even show up if the mopped the floor.

JeanC reported earlier today blood in bathroom, as well. I understood blood in hallway to be within the room (could be wrong, though).
