JeanC reported earlier today blood in bathroom, as well. I understood blood in hallway to be within the room (could be wrong, though).

I don't even think they have a hallway in the room as it is so small. Maybe a little space where there could be a closet before entering the room.

What would you call the area that is long, that goes up and down where all the rooms are located?

Well, Sanny, unless I bend my knee out like a frog leg, there is no way to see the bottom of my left foot from the right as that picture was taken. Her knee doesn't appear to be bent. Her ankle just seems to abruptly bend to the right. Maybe a broken ankle would help explain why she never made it out of that room alive. :(

Paintr.....I tried to place my left foot in the exact same position....and the pain I felt was severe......it shot right up my leg.

My conclusion was it was broken.......IMO
She never had a chance in hell to escape his grasp at all.

Hallway of the room or hallway/corridor outside I would think luminol would show it.

It's just my opinion, but I don't think Stephanie put up a fight. Instead, I think she was immediately disabled by the blow to her nose, probably unconscious or near it when VDS beat her, stomped on her hands, her feet, her legs, her chest, and drug her around the room. I can only surmise this, but taking who this creep is in reality, he enjoyed the beating aspect of killing her, inflicting pain while she was still alive. I actually think the sicko and supreme coward is proud of what he can do to a woman.

Call me barbaric, but I hope he's treated to a like death by those in the prison some day.

You mean the hallway outside the room?
How could no one not notice it in 3 days?
They must vacuum the halls.......
IMO

You would think, and also didn't anyone smell an odd bad odor.

I hope we can see it soon on video...or atleast hear every word she says.
Think we're finding out that JVDS's whole family has lived in darkness & guilt over the last 5 years.
The dad couldn't live any longer with the guilt...perhaps.

I don't think father had any guilt if he died on the golf course. Just sayin

Was it ever determined if the room has air conditioning?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the recent stories in the Dutch media are at least partially motivated by what the Dutch might reasonably perceive to be incredibly biased American and Peruvian press coverage. Maybe all those snide references to the "Dutch Playboy" have kindled some nationalist pride in some journalists.

If I understood the last translation correctly (and that is no sure thing at all), it appears as if someone actually investigated the security camera set up at the hotel, and is now asking the logical questions.

The Dutch certainly can't be pleased with the way every American television network now seems to have an "expert" doctor who displays no reluctance about psychoanalyzing Joran on-air. Shockingly, their totally unethical analysis always matches perfectly with the venomous views of Nancy Grace and company.

Again, just 100% my speculation.

bolded by me.

According to at least one websleuther who has connections to the Netherlands, most Dutch people believe Joran is a waste of space and air. Why on earth would they care (or object to it) if American tv networks are psychoanalyzing him?

If there was any blood in the bathroom....remember he must've taken a shower and perhaps some blood got in there too.
Showered changed his clothes and while doing that managed to get some of her blood on his striped tee shirt. Couldn't see it because of the shirt design.

He was a cool one......systematically thought of his next move. Sociopaths think of their next move quickly....maybe not smartly but quickly.

As for blood stains in the hall........if cleaning people vacc. the halls....and saw something on the carpet they may have thought someone just spilled something there
and never thinking about blood stains.

Was it ever determined if the room has air conditioning?

No A/C because it's winter there.....as JC stated. Perhaps the room had some heat on. However, JVDS and SR don't have jackets on or even sweaters but maybe they are both used to the drop in temps where JC isn't.

Ya think?

I thought the evidence tag 'U' in Pic 16 of the crime scene photos was probably indicating blood in the hallway of the room.

Now the mom is living in that same hell. For her to cope with Joran's dilemma now, she is saying he is and has been in need of mental help for a long time.

As for Joran, no conscience no feelings.

I think the key to this whole case, and what first really raised my suspicions, is the fact that Stephany supposedly died early Sunday morning, but her body wasn't discovered until early Wednesday. It just has never made sense to me that any hotel would leave a room unchecked like that for three days.

....

I know others have said this (and that I am replying late to this post) but my son often travels for weeks at a time with school and occasionally ends up in this caliber of hotel. There is NOT daily housekeeping for people on extended stays. They get a lower rate if they do not need the daily housekeeping. THAT is how she was not found for 3 days. It is not a freaking mystery, it is industry standard.

Yes, I also remember something about a fight or yelling.
IMO

So the thinking is that he turned the TV up loud to cover the killing???

Could be.....imagine being next door to a slaughter of a murder taking place...

The hairs on my neck are jumping up and down......OMG
