Share This: Digg! News reports from Peru tonight say detectives in Peru will release their report tomorrow recommending Joran Van der Sloot be charged with homicide, not manslaughter, which carries a sentence of between 15 and 35 years. (Google translation here.)

According to the report, the fact that convinced them the murder charge is appropriate are these: that Joran left to get coffee and returned to the room, killed Stephany Flores, and then went down to the reception area again (holding one of the coffees) and paid for another two nights, and within minutes left the hotel with his belongings.

If I understand the Spanish version of the article, the report also states that Joran told his interrogators he met Stephany in the casino on May 28 and they exchanged phone numbers and made arrangements to meet at the casino Saturday night. He also told them there were no romantic intentions, and that they were playing online poker on his computer.

Joran now has a lawyer who arrived in Peru last night and immediately went to the police station where he is being held. No details yet on who that is.

Tomorrow this report will go to the public prosecutor, and then to the court.

AMEN MARIKESH. IMO JVDS HAS BEEN ON A DERAILED TRACK FOR A VERY LONG TIME. No one stopping him and that naturally would encourage him to continue his lifestyle. Gambling, lieing, living like a 'casanova criminal' as one report called him.

Yes indeed. I meant to add but failed to, that rather than find loopholes and excuses for Joran, these people should be kind and help him come to his senses. The only place the games play out is on message boards. The Peru LE and Justice system are not interested in games.

I thought I read here either last night or early this morning a post about Joran beating one of his brothers up when his brother was 7 or 8 years old. The brother had to be hospitalized if I remember correctly. I've searched and haven't been able to find that post again. It could be that I read it somewhere else so I don't want to start a rumor!
Does anyone remember anything about that post or where I might find it?
I was just curious and wanted to read it again. TIA!!!!!!

Cranial fracture to her skull......perhaps that happened when the elbow to her nose causing the head to hit the wall thus causing the fracture.

Lord of mercy......we don't need anyone telling us how gruesome this murder was. We have known this since they found her.

This is such de je vu on Joran's confession in this case, as in the Holloway case story.

At first it was two policemen robbed him and killed Stephany.

When that wasn't working for him, SHE asked to go to his room and when he went to get coffee, she violated him by going on his computer, so he struck her.

When that wasn't quite right, SHE hit him first, so he struck her.

When that still wasn't quite right, same as the last, but he also strangled her.

When that needed a little adjustment because he was caught going out and PRETENDING he was locked out, they were playing poker and he just happened to open an email and Stephany struck him and he protected himself by killing her.

A little more tweeking is necessary, because he was confronted with her money, id, credit cards (or, they told him they KNEW he tried to use her credit card unsuccessfully), he added in taking her money, etc. Not robbing her, just taking her money.

When confronted with her being undressed, well, ok...................I don't know why I did that?

Oh, but at the end of the day, he was actually in the middle of giving himself up to police, when they stopped him and arrested him. :slap:

PS....I see there's a few around who believe this latest, or one of the versions pointing to Joran's innocence. But they did that with Scott Peterson too. Didn't do much good though. It's the JUDGE who has to be persuaded and Joran really isn't the only :liar: in the world. He's just the one in this 15 minutes. The rest of his time is waiting for him in Castro,Castro.:snooty:

I just can't remember if it was NG or JVM that someone stated that he would most likely PASS his lie detectors because he believes them to be truth.

Paintr.....I tried to place my left foot in the exact same position....and the pain I felt was severe......it shot right up my leg.

My conclusion was it was broken.......IMO
She never had a chance in hell to escape his grasp at all.

I saw that too and recalled when a stranger fell and broke her ankle -- the lady I saw (a healthy 30's or 40's fit lady) went absolutely shocky. We stayed with her til paramedics arrived. I have to tell you the woman was in agony. I am thinking SF would have had to scream when that happened (maybe that's when JVDS stiffled her fataly). MOO
