I saw this on the local news tonight, I can't find a link but he went missing from a hospital and may be depressed.

SCARBOROUGH and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team (SRMRT) were deployed in the early hours of this morning to assist police in searching for a man they have concerns for.

Peter Brown, 46, from the Whitby area, went missing from Scarborough on the afternoon of Wednesday May 8.

He is described as a white, about 6ft 1in tall, and of muscular/athletic build. He is unshaven and his hair is a greying/brown colour which is slightly thinning.

He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie underneath a blue waist length jacket, loose grey cotton jogging bottoms, and blue Nike trainers.

However, Natalie [Peter's Wife] says he may have since changed as she has had reports that he has received some charity clothing.

She said: "The last reported sighting we had of him was on the Bank Holiday just gone in Filey, the town had a new homeless person there.

"We know he has been walking on the Rudston to Bridlington road and we had a sighting from a pub landlady in Filey that he told her he was trying to stay away from trouble.

"We don't know if he's got his phone, the police have triangulated it and can see he turned it off at 1am on May 9 but whether he has sold it to get some money, as he only had £40 in cash or has kept the phone we don't know.

"I think he thinks that he's trouble and he's going to get locked up as he might be confused."

[...]

Natalie, family, friends and the community have been looking around Scarborough, as well as venturing further out into Filey, Whitby, Bridlington, Hornsea and villages and towns in between.

[...]

"He's a lovely man, he isn't dangerous, he is a businessman who is a self-employed painter and decorator, and ordinary man with a happy life and two teenage children.

He is still missing. An interesting article, with some more detail about when he was last seen:

Everything we know as searches continue a month after Peter Brown went missing from Scarborough

. . .Last Seen
Mr Brown was last seen at Cross Lane Hospital in Scarborough on the evening of Wednesday May 8.

He had been admitted to the hospital the week before after suffering with mental health issues and told his wife and hospital staff he was going for a walk with a friend and would be back by 7pm.

The alarm was raised when he failed to return and it later transpired he had cancelled the meet with his friend. . . .

More information about where they have searched for Peter, and also about possible sightings, can be read by following this link.
