I tend to agree that this killer had not planned for more than one murder that night.
I think the opposite. He didn't target a young woman living alone, but a residence occupied by roommates. Maybe some of the deaths were 'well, what's one more?' if he couldn't really establish who you'd be in the house that night, but I think his way of thinking was 'multiple murders point all over the place, good luck coming after me you suckers'.

This guy has all the traits of a psychopath. I don't even see this as a thrill kill. He wanted to feel smart and powerful for 'getting away with it'. He planned it hoping it would be the 'perfect crime'.

I hope it's as awful as Snake River Correctional Institute looks from the outside.
IMSI is notorious for it's restrictions and is very high max. He's not only gonna have a terrible time there as opposed to where he's been, he's also gonna be surrounded by the worst of the worst when the time comes where he's shoved into gen pop - which I imagine will be in the not too distant future once assessments into his transition have been done.

I've not read the doc drops yet (planning on it tonight) so I'll catch up on that convo once I've read them all.
Wanted to say though, I agree with your other comments LinasK - Just because LE cannot find a clear link between the felon and the victims doesn't mean there wasn't one. I know for a fact that it cannot be shown by metadata EVERY SINGLE Instagram account for example that one person skims past or looks at. If a person interacts with an account such as messaging/following/liking posts then yah there's a clear trail, otherwise it's neigh on impossy to pinpoint. Same as with "casual" encounters, nothing to say that the felon hadn't seen one of more of the victims in passing, heard their home mentioned and/or essentially followed them home. There's phone pings galore round the house location, What's to say that the first time wasn't THE time he saw the victims y'know? Like I have the up most faith in LE and I believe them when they said in the presser that they tried everything to find a link - unfortunately though some things are not possible to prove even with technology. The LE were very careful with their words too, how they couldn't find or PROVE a link, not that they don't believe that there was. They repeatedly stated that they cannot and will not speculate but I bet you in their heart of hearts they know he was in some way observing at least one of the victims but simply couldn't find a way to prove it 😞

Regardless, the felon is guilty. Guilty by evidence, guilty by truth and guilty by his own mouth.

Let him rot.

Victim Impact Statements-
After hearing Kaylee’s brother’s outside the court, I have a different view of the Goncalves family. From the family of murder victim’s POV- Thompson seems unable to meet the needs of victim’s families- he cited several cases.

Thompson had his piece too in his remarks- much respect for his experience and point of view.

SG highlighted the cowardice of attacking girls at home in bed in the middle of the night, hiding in darkness compared to the threats BK will face in prison. SG may get his DP way.
Olivia’s statement- Priceless- to tell BK that KG would have treated him with kindness. The wiggling and discomfort in BK was interesting. She had his number- she saw right through him and told him exactly how the world sees him. He seemed to shrink into the coward he is. I was blown away by her list of questions- and an offer to listen. Wow

Maddie’s dad must be the epitome of hell to imagine a father watching his daughter go out into the world- trusting her to be capable but not trusting the world with her- and lose her to brutal murder.

BF read by a friend, and DM statements read herself were so incredibly powerful- praying for peace that passes all understanding- replace suffering with happiness. Bravery is what we do when in fear we choose to walk toward it- DM walked toward her fear. What strength and bravery

I’m with XK’s uncle who struggled to hold himself back. The fear BK will soon feel as he faces the reality of being housed with murderers… at any moment his card could be pulled. Priceless
Forgiveness- not sure I could ever muster such but to each their own.

Refreshing that Ethan’s family did not speak- and give BK any satisfaction from the emotions he may feel he has controlled in them.

IMO

Several times in the document dump, the witnesses describe what they thought was a firework. Any thoughts on what this could be?

(For citation's sake, most recent I've read this: "At around 0400 or 0420 hours, [she] heard what she thought was a firework and saw a spark on the ground from under her door" - File: Supp 89_Redacted, page 1)

Witnesses, plural? Someone other than DM?
Yeah I had seen this and pondered what it could be. A firework noise and spark description- hmm
A striker? Did BK bring a magnesium rod and hit it with his knife? It would make a noise, cause a spark, and also fling a spark over a distance. Two hands required. Cigarette lighter may sound a look the same as a spark and firework- but it can’t shoot a spark to the floor.

A flashlight with a toggled on and off- uses one handed. You can shine the beam of light on the floor- and DM saw where it hit the floor from under the door?

IMO

With him using VPN'S and successfully wiping his electronics clean, how could LE say there was no connection between BK and his victims???

Unless it's explained to me differently, this is a no, nada, nope... He knew at the least one of them.

He was near that home 23+ times.....

The documents have only added to my theory that he chose the house and did not target a victim, he had no idea who was in the home that evening, when he was driving around all of them were either in bed or going to bed, I don't think because one victim was stabbed more than another it means they were the target, I still think he meant to kill one victim but if others got in his way or were there he would kill more, I do think he intended to kill females, another reason house was chosen, murders very reminiscent of Ted Bundy student house murders,

I think he was surprised to find two girls in bed and he struggled to kill them both especially when they resisted and fought him with all there might, this is why one victim was stabbed and wounded the most she fought him in the dark (I think he had a torch, possible head torch) but he had to use his knife and the torch/light source he brought as weapons so he was having to do everything he could to kill them, IMO he intended to kill them in there sleep,
As with many murderers the victims do not act how he expects them to do on his fantasy of the murders, these victims should have been asleep when IMO he fantasised about killing them, he never expected to have to fight a victim as hard as he had to, not once but twice I think. Maddie, Kayleigh and Xana tried so hard to fight him off but he had that knife that was just so deadly but they still fought even when they must have been seriously wounded, this is what breaks my heart, how desperately they fought, how much they wanted to live, that these were there last moments, but it says everything about there characters, they were not cowards, they were so brave, so strong, so determined to fight him until they could no more, they would not give in, can you imagine what they could have done with there lives with this strength of character, the song who runs/rules the world girls runs through my head when I think about what they would have achieved, I don't think he saw Dylan
But they all 6 have left a legacy, to love fiercely, to be kind, to be gentle but a fierce warrior when needed, they have left a light that will shine forever when people think of them
They have left behind broken families who are using that break to put light and positivity in to the world in there names, asking people to do good deeds, helping students with scholarships, again revealing the character of the 6 who lived in the house, the characters the families and friends knew they possessed

There's plenty to keep up with here in this thread, have been looking through those documents in the drop. Murphy used to act strangely on occasion, Around Halloween (when I think there was a party at the house) was one of those occasions. It was strange for Murphy not to return when called, but he acted particularly strangely that night out back, and on some other nights. (Supp 114, Supp 122 especially) And the King Road residents/roommates heard noises out back that night I think around Halloween, like someone on foot in the wooded area back there. We already know BK had the back of that house staked out. But for how long? He surely already knew the layout before he parked there that night. How?

One of the only nights I can picture BK strolling around with relative freedom at/near that house would be fully garbed, mask and all-- around Halloween. Speculation, yes, but please fasten your crackpot helmet because that's what we're dealing with, and yes, I'd say it's quite possible. Grim Reaper selfie? Maybe it has more of a backstory than we'd thought.

Supp 69 and 107, "Hunga Dunga," where some kind of private Greek event took place. This is like Mad Greek, did BK perhaps frequent this establishment? It seems like it could be his kind of place. (Not a knock on Hunga Dunga.)

Agreed with many others on here and always have been, this was NOT random. The victims, the house, the entire layout-- it was all thought through by Mr. "Criminologist" well beforehand. It was both the house and victim/s, jmo. It was a combination of factors that made that location almost irresistible to him, jmo. And agreed with another poster that he may well have a thing for blondes ("Criminal"/Britney Spears).

One thing in the press conference that stood out to me… was Brett Payne saying kohbergers family never tipped them off or gave them anything of evidentiary value… it made me think, Bryan rang his dad 3 times only 3 hours after the murders and one of the calls lasted 45 mins. Does that mean his dad never told them what was said in these calls? The “nothing of evidentiary value” part makes me wonder if they didn’t co operate with police

As has been suggested, I absolutely think he wiped his phone clean with some sort of software. I absolutely do not believe that he never looked at any of the social media of any of those girls. I do understand that it is certainly possible that he drove around, looking for victims, and picked that house as the perfect goldfish bowl to be able to approach from the front and the back, park out in the back and watch and observe, and then he probably tested it out with the Sliding Glass Door and Picked it that way. I realize that very well could be the way that he picked that house rather than seeing a girl first and then going that way. But I just feel like he must have wiped his phone.

Regarding the firework noise Dylan heard, and this is totally anecdotal. When I'm not sleeping restfully, usually if my DH is not home, I will sometimes jar awake thinking I heard a door slam or glass breaking or a gunshot. When I realize my dogs are snoring peacefully, I know it was just in my head. (My dogs bark at everything.)

I think it's very possible BK had on a headlamp or had a flashlight with a strobe feature, or something like that. moo

And to add to this. There is a charge for every e-mail you send and recieve. Just like there is a charge for every phone call you make. And things aren't cheap in prison. For instance a dollar ramen noodle will cost double or triple in the prison canteen. And you make maybe a $1.25 a day for working as a janitor cleaning toilets. And you usually aren't allowed to start working for months. Don't know about Idaho but the state I'm in if you have money in your Inmate account it can be taken to go toward any restitution that has been court ordered. And from what I heard JH put fourth today as far as money being owed to the families someone is going to have to come out of pocket before BK is going to be able to buy a honey bun.
Those email charges result in big profits. Same with the prison canteens. (For more on the latter, Google "prison canteens run by private business" and you'll begin to see the amounts the Kohberger family may choose to shell out over the years.)

Google search notes the following details. IMSI is a state-run prison, and the commissary is run by Keefe Commissary Network. ICS Corrections company is used for phone charges. IC Solutions in partnership with ViaPath Technologies provide the tablets.

This is a great article on what you mention regarding the email fees. A Legal Battle Exposes the Big Business of Exploiting Prisoners for Profit

We were confirmed in what we had heard experts say- they had lung lacerations, which would have kept them from screaming. I still think that XK didn’t scream in her room while fighting him off because she hoped EC would keep sleeping and not be killed. I think she was trying to protect him.

I hope we learn more about the routes he took those 23+ times. Will we know if he paused at the house?

My thoughts have been that he started driving around looking for the right house(s) for window-peeping, easy access, desirable victims - and 1122 fit the bill. I think he spent time parked above the house with the view through the windows.

After he picked the house, maybe he did then figure out who lived there and followed on social media, but I really do think it was the house that drew him, at least initially.

And I do suspect he slithered inside during at least one nighttime test run, when roommates were sleeping. Or, at least lurked in the yard as Kaylee noticed. Some of DM's nervousness might have been her noticing/hearing/sensing someone was messing around with the house in the weeks before the murders. (I hope she and BF are some day able to sleep well.)

I'm curious if he also lurked around other houses.

Judge Hippler's brilliant remarks at sentencing

What terrifies me is the fact that he will likely go on spreading dangerous Incel/Elliot Rodgers/anti-women theories from inside prison walls.

Especially now after victim impact statements, the guy is more filled up with hate than ever.
You could see it in his eyes at sentencing. Nothing but repressed hate and anger underneath that seemingly empty stare.

Let’s hope everything this creature does, says or writes will be monitored to the max.

I hope that numerous complaints are filed against Elisa Massoth. I was shocked to see her smirking. It was heartbreakingly disrespectful to the victims. I cried listening to them make their statements.
It is quite obvious that the murderer is a sociopath (I don’t even want to say his name ever again.) I don’t buy the “autism” argument. People with autism are not without feelings and empathy. The murderer in this case is completely devoid of humanity.
Complaints against her AND AT for wanting to ruin the lives of her "alternate suspects"
